May 21-June 21, the sign of the twins. Gems are versatile, quick witted, some are neat and most are curious. A Gemini is the eternally youthful child, no matter his/her chronological age. If you look at the strength of Gemini's, you will find that we are destined for success. The Gemini's here on this thread are particularly strong because we are on an important mission--a health improvement mission. Maybe you could even call it a make over mission. And we are celebrating--celebrating that, in spite of our moments of not-so-much-success, we are still here, still struggling to make it. We have a grand time together, and we would love you to be a part of that. So come on in and join us as we work together to make it through this journey and then to enjoy the results. Anyone can start the new thread. GEMS ROCK!

Hi everyone. I decided to start the thread here on the new board. I really hope everyone finds us here. It is all the same as before just a new address. Please make sure you tell everyone you have contact information on about the new address and don't forget to register.
I plan to email Cindy to let here know about the new place because she might not be aware of the announcement thread.
Hope to see everyone over here. I will keep posting to the old thread as long as it is around to let people know we are here now.

Good morning everyone. I have a feeling I am going to be posting to myself over here for a while. I hope everyone finds their way over here. It is the same as the old place just a different address to get here. I hope we can all end up here and no one wonders where we are now. Nothing much new going on with me. I still feel like I am fighting a cold coming on but it never really gets here. I guess I should be thankful for that. But something is messing with my immune system and I want it over. I got a few Christmas cards made out last night but have more to work on tonight. I decided to save some money this year and use left over cards from previous years, I have a boat load of left over cards. I just hope no one remembers but I think it was so many years ago that no one would remember.
Hope everyone is doing well this week and hope I see everyone finding their way here. Have a good day everyone and keep making those good food decisions.
Nancy

So no o has posted here yet except you, Nancy, and no one is posting in the other place either? I don't seem to be able to post with my computer, but maybe I .ill figure it out before Sunday. I was using my Mac, so maybe I will try it with my windows computer if it doesn't lock up. Two hours is long enough for today.

I am here, too. I think Adrienne is on vacation this week. Tomorrow we are having a date night. Dinner and a movie. I think we will go to Carabbas to eat. And DH wants to see Hacksaw Ridge. It's a war movie that has excellent reviews. Got a good report on my thyroid ultrasound. No change from last year. I am in the mojo. Still tracking and getting my workouts in. I know I will gain some over the holidays but I can handle it. I won't let it derail me. Little bites. Remember, the first bite is always the best. Hi Cindy. Nancy, hope you are feeling better. Hang in there ladies.

Good morning. I am glad to see we are mostly here. I have corresponded with Adrienne. I won't be able to do anything about the computer and inaccessibiliy. I can use Tapatalk, am using it with the phone and the braille device, but you can't start a thread with tapatalk. I am seriously considering our starting a closed group on FB. We have lost a number of people we might get back. Don't know yet. Seems this has even more ads. I hate to do it because Nancy doesn't do fb. We'll see. Doreen, keep up the good work. You are our inspiration of the month. Maybe even of the year. So Mary, you don't have an over night at the hospital when you have the surgery? I guess I'll try to order groceries pretty soon and see how that goes. Not having much luck with my MacBook Air.

no over night at the hospital, having surgery at the Surgery Center, in and out. Having it done Dec 23rd. It's been a busy week, was at my mom's Monday, helped her make fudge, cut her hair, picked the kids up at Day Care/ school, they spent the night Monday night, took Lark to school yesterday, Fletcher and I had a nap, picked her up from school at 4:00, we decorated her gingerbread house. DD came and got them in the evening, today I have to roll out the sugar cookie dough and cut out cookies to bake, they are having a get together to ice them Sunday. It would seem like fun times, wouldn't it, but I'd rather stay home. It's like is DD going? My son is not going, but his GF and kids are so now my DD probably won't go, but do I bet to take the kids? Wo is me. Lunch date tomorrow with the cousins. Christmas shopping all done. I have been a little off the Core plan but still very mindful of my choices and amts, I'm OK Sometimes I feel like the closed FB would be easier, but I'll follow on where ever we go.

Good morning. Good to see people finding their way here. I went to the gym yesterday afternoon, it was the first time I worked out since getting this bug. I could definitely tell I'm still not 100% back to pre bug. It is suppose to get really cold here the next few days and then possibly have snow on the weekend. Yikes- I so don't want that.
Doreen- Have fun on date night tonight. Great news about you thyroid not changing from last year.
Mary- Hope you can take the gkids to the cookie decorating. How is that training of your DH going?
Cindy- Hope you got those groceries ordered.
Hi to all who follow. Have a good day everyone.

good morning. Maggs is posting on the wrong thread, and it looks as if the time is up there. Maybe we can reach her on fb. Mary, I wouldn't beg. Just ask her about taking the kids and if she says no she says no, end of story. That is painful, but what else can you do. The groceries are coming around 9:00 this morning. Seems I c use their website now on the PC, which is good because I didn't seem able to have much luck on the phon. It is cold here—about 3— and I w be going to my trainer at about noon. Nancy, glad you are getting better. Guess that is about all I know. Be back later.

Good morning, taking it easy today, cousins lunch, and run to the lake to get the mower battery, we will be half way there at lunch. Yesterday, made those sugar cookies, have tons in a container for the kids to ice Sunday, what I did ice are in a container to give away today. I cleaned a little house afterwards, then watched the finale of Survivor. I have to have labs tomorrow for my surgery next week. need to pick up RX at Hyvee, take an item back to Walmart. When did I ever have time to work on a job?

phew! I found you all! What a pickle that was. All in the periods I guess.
Life is throwing me a curve ball. DS is having issues which gives me issues. I'll get into it later, it's too fresh right now. It's not a live or die situation, but it's unpleasant for me.
Mary, You're having your surgery later next week, right? Wow! I hope it all goes according to plan! I'm sure it will all settle down after the holidays with DD. I hope it does. She's going to need to do things on her own if she can't work with you.
Nancy, sure hope you feel better. There is a nasty bug that lingers up here. I know a lot of people that have something similar.
Doreen, How was date night?
Cindy, congrats on getting your order in! Have fun at the trainer.
I pulled a muscle in my hip yesterday. I was unable to exercise. It's a little tight today as well, but after soaking it last night, it's not quite so bad.
I want to know why we eat more when we think we won't be getting to WI? Why do I sabotage myself that way? I'm not doing quite so badly as in the past, I'm catching myself, but why do I do it at all?

Hi everyone. Just getting around to posting. I went out to lunch with a friend today who I don't get to see too often. It was good spending some time with her. We had planned to eat at a diner and we get there and they were closed for some renovations so we decided to go to another place about two blocks away, we couldn't find parking spots there so we go on to the third place. Found parking there and were able to get lunch finally. And today it is 20 degrees right now with 30 mph wind gusts. At least they are backing off of reports for snow over the weekend, they are saying we might get a mixed mess tomorrow night. Fun times ahead.
Cindy- Glad you were able to use the computer to order the groceries, I would bet the phone would be harder.
Mary- hope your lunch was fun with the cousins. Sounds like you will have a lot of cookies to decorate.
Doreen- How was your date night, was the movie good? Don't you play some word game with Maggie? Can you point her over here to the new board. Do you post with her on Facebook?
Adrienne- Sorry to hear about the issues with your DS. I hope it can get worked out soon and you can be less stressed about it all. Yikes on the hip problem. You should think about using ice now and later heat. Hope it feels better soon. Good to see you found your way over here. Can you let Judy know about the change too, I think I've seen you say something about pictures with her on Facebook. And about the eating more when you aren't going to WW to weigh in- I think when a person does go to WW they might have the mind set that they don't want to be a failure in front of someone looking at the number on the scale so they try a little harder. They might let their guard down a little when they don't have to step on the WW scale because they think no one will think hey she didn't try very hard this week. At least that is how I view the whole thing. There is so much psychological stuff connected with weight and why we do what we do.
Have a good evening everyone.

Date night Got postponed, twice! DH went Christmas shopping all day yesterday so I said we could go tonight. Met my friend for breakfast this morning, then went to a few stores. When I got home DH is lying on the sofa icing his knee. His hip and knee were killing him, knee was swollen. Can't walk good. No date night. Maybe next week. Had a salad for lunch and lentil soup for supper.
Adrienne, are you home? Sorry about problems with DS.
I will try to let Maggie know about our new place.
Got to get some cleaning done tomorrow and wrap gifts.
