Why do cooked meats often have more points than uncooked? According to the app, an uncooked bone in skinless chicken thigh is 3 points, while a cooked skinless chicken thigh with bone is 4 points? This makes no sense! No one would eat it raw, so why is it even in there? This is a key question for me, because we eat thighs almost exclusively.

Just use the points for how you weigh it. In most cases, the actual weight is a much better way to count because it's accurate. Example is avocado: it shows 1/4 of a medium avocado is 3 points, but 2oz is about the amount you'd get from a whole small avocado for the same point.

txmimi I just checked in the app. The cooked one is 4 ounces. 4 SP The uncooked is only 3 ounces. 2 SP (don't forget when you cook something it shrinks!) If I am without a scale I go by the old, "you lose 1/3 of it when cooked". Which would make it 2 ounces cooked = 2 SP (it looks like it is pretty much a point an ounce cooked) ^ these were just what popped up when I put in ~ chicken thighs skinless. I didn't put in specific weights or anything so I may not be seeing exactly what you saw.
