Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all. Woke up about 5:00 and I could NOT get back to sleep. Too much on my mind I guess. Worry about kids and all that is going on in the world!! So I got up, checking email and blogs and WW and drinking coffee (had to use Keurig as coffeemaker just went off about 5 min ago). Time for that 2nd cup.
I figured if I went ahead and got up and got these things done, I could then proceed to get some of the chores done I need to get to before we pick up Mara later today. And finish up downstairs (dust & vacuum) so that I can set up a couple tables to be ready for this weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday. Will be a little harder with toddler help, but that’s life.
I have got to get myself back on WW!! I was down a couple lbs but I’m guessing I’m probably back up. Sigh!! I still have not heard from HealthPartners about my CPAP. I’m assuming they will contact me about which machine to send and all. If I don’t hear from them today or tomorrow I’ll call on Monday and get things going. I still need to schedule a manicure & a pedicure. Going to treat myself. Maybe try for tomorrow or next week. Depends on what Amber has open.
Joy, have a good day, work or home. Dottie, take care and hope PT is helping. Enjoy your walks and your gardening.
Will check in later. And since I’ve been up since 5:00, a nap may be in my future this afternoon.

Good morning,
Ruth - you beat me to posting this morning. I grabbed a cup of coffee, and I’ll get another soon. I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee lately.
Sorry to hear you aren’t sleeping well. Have you tried listening to meditation or a sleep podcast when you take a nap. I recommend a podcast by Sleep Cove - the episode is #25, HEalth Positivity and Reduce Stress about Events Outside your Control. It’s 50 minutes long (I doubt I’ve made it to 10 minutes). Christopher has a perfect voice for this. Yes, it starts with a commercial but once he starts the episode you really relax, I get a great night sleep when I listen to this. There are a lot of episodes, one of these days I’ll listen to another. Give it a try sometime.
This weeks VM was on Meal Planning. There were only 4 meeting members, 2 of us were there for the 1st 10 minutes before the other 2 joined. It was like having a personal meeting with our coach. I’ve been doing better, but talking yesterday got me to refocus a bit. I do think planning meals in advance helps a lot. I’m taking some time to preplan the next weeks dinner menus. I’ll head to the grocery store and I’m going to do some meals prepping on Sunday. I usually start the day ok, but when I don’t have a dinner plan I just grab anything, usually not a good choice. Today I’ll enjoy whole wheat pasta and Prego with a small salad for dinner.
Dottie - nice that you are planning your vacation for next summer. Vacations always gives me something to focus on, and I get more excited as the months go by. Looks like you got some nice upgrades too.
Temps are back to normal, yesterday we reached 90. Looks like we’ll have nice weather for the next week, a little rain but that’s ok as long as it’s cool.
Work went well yesterday. My favorite sales guy just completed his 13th sale this month and it’s only June 10. He really does well. I overheard one of the finance guys saying that we’re going to run out of cars if sales keep up. We usually have 6-7 shelves of new car folders, we only have 3 and the preowned drawers are really low. That’s great! And service is booming too. Sure keeps me busy. I like only working 4 hours a day instead of the 6 I used to work. No free time, and it goes by so fast.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, I’m glad to hear that the sales are going so good for the dealership, especially the guy with 13 sales already. Are there any good financing deals going on now? We have been watching some old TV series at night and therefore no commercials, which is great, but also sometimes we find out good deals from commercials.
Ruth, I think that is a good suggestion for Carol to contact the surgeons from Houston or one of the places that specialize in the latest protocol for her type of cancer. I think most local doctors don’t have enough time or the facilities to keep up with the latest treatments. Hope she can do something soon. Hope that DS can get some $$$ for his Versa and then also for DILs car. Sounds good to treat yourself to a mani/pedi. Our nail salons open on the 20th. Bill did get a haircut this week but the place he usually goes to hasn’t reopened so he had to try a new place.
I have to get some things out in the trash and recycling, found and recycled a lot of old papers in the basement this week. I also found some things that need to be shredded, too many for our little shredder. PT was good this morning. I have to keep doing the exercises at home – this will be an ongoing thing for me. After PT I went grocery shopping and it poured while I was in the store, just drizzling when I left. More rain predicted for this evening.
