Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Beautiful cool, sunny day! It’s back in the high 60s, windows open, letting in the fresh air.
Back to basement cleaning. I moved a small cabinet, will eventually toss that. Behind it was half a case of beer, skunky I’m sure, probably 30+ years old. I need to pop those bottles, drain the beer, and put the empties in the recycling bin. Was bought in Canada so no bottle deposit to worry about. I’m always amazed when I find stuff to toss.
I scheduled an estimate for the electrical work I need for next Thursday. The area that they’ll be working in is clear and I’m ready to start the project. I’ll still need to clear the area where the sump pump will go, that’s my focus today. There are mops, shovels, brooms - I’ll take them to the garage.
I need to check to see if donation centers are open yet. I have a lot to donate and my garage is getting cluttered.
Hope you have a great day.

Joyce, that is funny about the case of beer you found. I guess your recycling bin will be full this week. Will they start the electrical work next week or just the estimate? Either way good luck with the project.
Ruth, are all the cars that DS and DIL had taken care of now? Hope so. I’m sure that they are relieved to get rid of them.
Not much new here. I did several loads of L so far today and cleaned the upstairs bathrooms. I think this afternoon I will try to finish a book I have been reading. We are having a nice day today, breezy and not too warm.

Good very late night. Off to bed shortly, but realized I hadn’t checked in today.
Joy, good job on being ready for that electrical estimate. Nice to get that taken care of.
Dottie, if only! DS had an appt at the bank (because tellers are closed) to get the lien waiver on his car. Told it had to come from the auto loan dept and they said a couple days and then mail it. So NO!! And they can’t move DIL’s old car out until DS’s gets moved. sigh..............
Was a busy day trying to get stuff ready for tomorrow. Did 3 loads of laundry and then hit the grocery store. Was going to get cupcakes, but ended up with a cake. I didn’t want to head to Sam’s by myself and we don’t take Mara anywhere with us yet. Her parents don’t so we won’t. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow but it’s still work having it here. If I kept things ready all the time, I could avoid a lot of this!
Mara has taken to calling DH “Mr. Papa”! Tonight we had her out in the back yard and she was just talking up a storm. Came running up to me when I came out (Papa took her out a while before while I finished up something) and she came running up to me, “How are you doing Grandma?”; and “You found me”! And she told Papa tonight that his recliner was her chair! She runs to get in it before he can if she knows that’s where he’s going. Or she runs to my spot on the loveseat. Then hollers, “I in your spot!”. Sometimes her talk is a lot of gibberish known only to her; but other times she really talks. She asked for pancakes this morning an I didn’t want to mess with making them just for her. So when I was at the grocery store, I bought a box of frozen silver dollar size pancakes. I asked her if she wanted them for dinner because we were having burritos. She said yes; so I made 5 of them and gave her cut up grapes with. Often we have to watch because she will eat all the fruit first and not be good about eating whatever else she has. But tonight she devoured those 5 pancakes and asked for more; so I made 3 more, thinking that was all she’d eat; and she ate those and wanted more; so I made 3 more and then said enough! She ate 11 of those little pancakes and a bowl of cut of grapes and drank her milk. Told her daddy she ate like she hadn’t eaten in months. He couldn’t believe how many of them she ate! He said they might have to buy a box of those!
ok, tired and going to bed. Have to get up right away in the morning and get moving to get food going and all. Going to put canned baked beans in the crockpot early and get them heated and keep them hot that way; ice for drinks and to put bowls of salads in to keep cold; chicken to pick up right before they are due here. I might heat up one of the bigger crock pots to keep the chicken hot too. Maybe heat it up A while before He goes to get it.
More tomorrow when the dust settles.
