...and JUST like THAT... Monday again!! Let's try to MOVE IT MONDAY... What can we do to MOVE today??? I make no promises... Mondays in general are a struggle for me! With Ken still in bed (day off) and just tired from the weekend... lists left not completed, I hate going to work on Mondays! Add to that my allergies(?) are messing with me today - or I am getting a summer cold (?)... either way I feel like crap right now! I am hoping the coffee and a hot shower will make it all go away! LOL
Good day yesterday - ended with going out to supper... not a healthy supper by any means... but the whole family went - so I can't complain! One of the fair food booths has set up in a parking lot - so we went for our "fair food fix", since most fairs have been cancelled already... the only one still hanging on/hoping is The Big E! If it opens, it will depend on the restrictions in place - if I bother to go! This is the HUGE fair that we go to annually, and I have not truly enjoyed it the past several years anyway - so this may be my change to beg off! On the other hand, if it's the ONLY fair we go to, maybe I will enjoy it more? Not even thinking about it - until I know IF they are even having it - and what restrictions they will have! We usually go the 3rd or 4th Sunday in September, sometimes even the 1st Sunday in October - so I have plenty of time to worry about that later! IF they don't have it t all - then MY worrying/choice is done for me!
Let me refill my coffee and see if I can catch up ♥

Sue: Glad you made it home safe and sound - and that you don't have to rush to get up this morning Enjoy a relaxing day today!
Well, I never did start my fridge cleaning yesterday... went outside and did the patio power washing - all the patio furniture is done, just need to rearrange it all now! Ken got the pool deck table ready - I put out the rugs, so that area is "set" for the summer.
Summer birthdays/parties begin this weekend! Due to the "timing", my sister Mary's birthday is 6/26, but with Matt & Patti's anniversary on the 27th, Mary has asked us NOT to celebrate her birthday! Since Tracy's surgery is the 25th (moved from the 26th) we decided to just do Mary's BD this weekend, on FD and Kathy's BD week!
SO this Sunday (6/21) we will celebrate FD, Kathy (6/16) and Mary (6/26). Next weekend we will have the weekend FREE of celebrations... and see what comes up... not celebrating Matt and Patti will make for another tough weekend! UGH! Seems a lot of our "firsts" are all pretty close together! This week will be Zoë's "1st FD" without Matt.
OK Need to get moving - going to be a long day, I can just "feel it"... probably won't be back this evening, so much to do... ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
I did get on the TM this morning, but it was a hard one--really feeling tired today! I actually kind of felt like I might have had caffeine too late in the day...that feeling where you keep waking up? Anyway, I have a dentist appt at 7:30 am so will go to that, do my day, and then try to get to bed a little earlier. I guess I will just pat myself on the back for getting on the TM at all! Nice and cool this morning, but it will be warmer later--- I have no complaints about this weather!
Carole: Thanks for starting us off today. So tomorrow is the new fridge day? That is going to be so great! You'll get the old one cleaned out. When all you have to do is empty things (not clean the racks, etc.) it goes a lot faster, don't you think? Plus, you'll be motivated knowing that you are getting the new one. How are you doing this...putting the things that you have in the old one in bags (in the fridge) and then moving them into something while your new fridge gets cold? I can't remember. Your new window looks so good--I saw the picture in the comments on FB...I really like how they did the area underneath the window--it looks great. Oh, hearing about the "firsts" that are coming on....I am sorry! I am glad though that you can see family this weekend and have some celebration of things. Thank you for your hugs and kind words...I wish you were close too! I think that part of it is that I don't "allow" myself to feel things...I feel like I should be grateful to be healthy, I have my job, etc. I am just kind of lost in terms of what I should be feeling right now.... and I don't like that it makes me short with people and impatient--it is not who I am. Oh well, I will find a way to deal with it.

Sue: So glad to see that you are home and safe--and sleeping in! Looking forward to hearing how it all went.....
Well, I have to hop in the shower and get ready for the dentist---woohoo! Fun times. I broke off a piece of a crown in February and it took this long to get in (it doesn't hurt---probably gritting my teeth and it is an old crown). Now I might be cancelling the trip down south. My sister and I were talking and she is getting the sense that my niece is doing some kind of huge event for her shower--this is not what I thought she was doing. My sister thinks that they might be in "denial" about COVID. So, I will call my niece today and ask about it. So....we will see.
Have a good day everyone! Hope that you find a way to move it!

Morning Carole and all to come....slept in until about 8:00 and feel like a new person! Slept great on Friday night but not Saturday so was a bit draggy by last night and needed the extra sleep! Never did get back here last night...Hannah called to FaceTime when I was just getting ready to get on and we chatted for a couple hours....Shea has been gone since Tuesday so she just wanted to chat!! I didn't mind, we hadn't chatted in over 10 days because they were cramming lots of "family fun" into the last weekend before he left and then I worked on Thursday and left for NC. The boys were funny too!! Always a fun time!!
Time to catch up a bit...feeling really out of of touch! Haven't read or posted since Thursday....going to head all the way back and see what I missed!!
Carole...YAY for plenty of water on Wednesday...sorry your felt "not into the day"....it happens! Sounds like you had a good plan to make Thursday and good day!! LOL, were cookies supposed to make "everything OK" when it came to the issues with the roof?? Wonder what they were thinking?? It's funny...last night one of the things Hannah and I were talking about was home schooling the next year...one of her neighbors is contemplating it and Hannah was trying to make sure she knows what it means and how much work it will be for her with 3 school age boys and a 3 year old....I'm not sure parents know the work involved. Hannah again said "my kids NEED to go back to school for everyone's sanity and well being"! I just laughed!
Jason was just as bummed as me when he thought we might not be able to go to NC....when I texted him when I knew for sure I wasn't going to have to work he sent me back a big smiley face!
I got plenty of water at work on Thursday....had 2 30 ounce tumblers of just water with a little squirt of the YL Vitality drops....unlike MIO drops that I used to use, a VERY little goes a long way with these....like a teaspoon in the entire 30 ounces. I also had a can of seltzer....then more at home. I have been working really hard to try and get plenty of water while at home as I know that I don't do well on weekends and right now the weekdays seem like a weekend for me!!
LOL Carole...I don't blame you for wanting to fill your own fridge!! I would be the same way. Thankfully I only had to deal with Jason and he didn't care! So tomorrow is the big day...you'll love your new fridge!!
Christine...sorry your Wednesday was such a mess moving from place to place to find a space to "work" that didn't interfere with Carly or Gary and to be productive. YES...the heat/humidity last week was terrible...I'm enjoying the couple days right now with lower temps and low humidity....by Thursday here the HHH is coming for the remainder of the 10 day forecast!
No...the NC tournament was cancelled but Colton's coach found another one in Salisbury MD to replace it so they went there instead and it was only Jason and I at David's. If the coach hadn't found the tournament, they would have come just to visit but will say they enjoyed being "back in the ballpark" again!!
Christine....if I did have to work Friday I definitely would have because if I didn't and work was "available" I would have had to claim that when I did my bi-weekly UC filing last night....it asks if you turned down any work offered. I would definitely NOT have jeopardized the little bit of $$$ I get from UC....it's barely enough to cover the mortgage so can't risk losing a penny!!! But....didn't have to worry about it!!
Jo...so glad the MRI got moved up!! Friday will be here before you know it! Glad your at home work has been extended...especially now with the added health issues you are dealing with, it is one less "worry" by staying home and distanced from any possible exposure!
Gabrielle...glad you opted to stay home for your "run" on Thursday to take advantage of the 70 minutes to prep for your long day of Zoom meetings!! I can only imagine how draining it can be to keep your staff "calm" in this chaos!! I understands the apprehension of some about going back to the office but having been someone who has continued to work the entire time and know many who have also worked out of the home I know that it CAN be done safely IF people do their part. Also, life will eventually get back to normal, yes, with some modifications I'm sure but we can't "hide" in our houses forever....it's not realistic or healthy! There is validity to needing to "build up your immunity" by exposure to "life" and the germs around us. Continued isolation will continue to deplete your natural immunity to so many things. It's science!! It was actually one of the conversations we had at David's this weekend....both David and Katie work in labs, doing the research and testing on viruses/diseases such as COVID-19 and know that the human body is an amazing machine and it can be much more resilient than people give it credit for. While I'm sorry that an argument prompted Max to move out with a friend it sounds like it's a good thing for everyone. Hugs to you....kids "leaving the nest" is tough but a natural progression....hopefully whatever he and Ed argued about it will not keep him from coming to visit with you!!
Now....I am not saying it's time for life to get back to normal now...this opening up again needs to be a slow, well planned process to see how people will react.....this virus was a new strain and that is why it hit hard and got out of control quickly because no one had any resistance but as people start to move among each other with various degrees of "herd immunity" it will level off and like the seasonal flu it will have it's outbreaks now and then but will be able to be controlled.

Good Morning ~ will look for ways to MOVE IT today - most likely a walk later - temps are STILL very cool and with it being cloudy it just feels cold out there. But at least the strong winds have finally died down. OMG the winds!!! Crazy strong, every single day of this weekend. I'm over it! I think it was like 24 mph constantly with stronger gusts - I know it knocked my plants of flowers over and lawn chairs got scattered - and that was with the SUN shining - very deceiving the weather all weekend -
My house feels cold. I am working from home today and my nose/hands are cold - hate that - maybe a mid-day walk will help warm me up!
I plan to get propane later to make Turkey burgers on grill with a fresh broccoli salad. I've been drinking my water so at least that box can be checked! lol
Sue - glad you are home safely. I'll need to read up on today's posts later...
Carole - hopefully being back at work helps lift the funk. I get ya!
Gabrielle - your weekend to So CA sounds perfect!!! I am so glad you are going ahead with it! Are you working remotely or at the office today?
Okay - back to my research project on Testing students during this summer - I just can't figure out yet HOW this will benefit anyone and I have a dreadful feeling parents may revolt LOL

Gabrielle...I actually asked Shea about the safety of flying with SW specifically at this point and he is confident with the safety/cleaning procedures that SW have in place at this point. Also, until the end of July no one can sit it the middle seats on any flight....masks are required and the plane is cleaned nose to tip between all flights. SW has been very proactive about the safety of their passengers and will not fill a plane just for the revenue at the risk of anyone's health, including passengers, flight attendants and pilots. Glad you did book the flights and you have a good plan for getting off and keeping distance!! Bummer it's over the 4th and your birthday but it's a one time event for your niece!! Time to celebrate her new baby!
Shelly.....sounds like a fun, busy weekend for you but enjoy!! Can't believe Nate is a year old already!! Time flies for sure!! Glad the mower is finally fixed so the yard won't get away from you again!! Look forward to "seeing" you on the thread tonight...hope it all goes as planned!
Jo....hope by now Steve's back is feeling better. WOW....your Thursday was a disaster of things going wrong...glad you got the C&G and found the phone. I loved the pix on FB of Emilie's graduation!! Poor Charlie being stuck in the truck! Sometimes we "lose" the cats and Jason figures out he has locked them in his shed! Will need to see if you posted a pix of Emilie's new hair!!! The pix I saw on FB it was still lighter brown! I do like the shorter length though!
Carole...glad my Friday title "spoke to you" on this journey! And I guess too having to wait for the window it was a "finally" kind of feeling for you!! The window looks AWESOME!!! They did a great job and the outside is beautiful....doesn't look out of place!! I'm so excited for you to finally have it done!
Christine...sounds like you had a nice Friday to yourself with Carly and Gary out of the house!! Lunch at the beach with Cheryl sounds perfect!! Yes, the temps were cooler...it was down right chilly when we got up and got ready to leave. I had a tank-top on planning for heading south to warmer temps so it was a bit chilly when I went out to load the car. And the saga and chaos of DL and the Prince continues....sounds like the Prince is not realistic about the full testing and the cooperation of the parents/students at this point! It will indeed be a long summer of "push and pull" with the Prince, DL and their expectations....whether they like it or not....parents will be a HUGE variable in the plans!! Good luck and don't "own" any part of this.....you spoke your peace and now they will have to deal with what comes!
LOL Gabrielle....Luna and Brin rule David and Katie too....doesn't matter to the dogs what day of the week it is....they are up and need to head out to pee by 6:00am....thankfully on the weekends for Katie, David is always an early riser so he gets up with them and she gets to sleep in for a bit....David and I are always up early enjoy a little quiet time and coffee when we visit!!
I agree Gabrielle that June 15th is a bit early to make a decision for the school year and what it will look like in the fall....with summer just starting and people starting to get out and about who knows what the cases will be like in another month or two...hopefully things will settle down a bit and districts take a little time before that announce to parents/students the plan, just it case it would end up changing as the summer goes on.
Glad the new cookbook and stocked pantry has the vegan meals a bit easier for you. Yes, part of any meal planning is to have the basics in the pantry to grab and go when you need them. Glad it has finally gotten to the point that the vegan meals is not a "chore" and you can just cook!! Will be anxious to hear how the different diet shows on the scale.....
Jenny....yes, seems many of us had a crazy week last week! Sounds like you were right there with us!! Sorry the back was an added issue for your crazy week! Gotta love technology....great when it works but a PITA when it doesn't!! Heck, things happen and I'm sure they customer and driver know you did NOT forget to call on purpose....sorry for the meltdown but hey, the week is over!! YAY for another # down!! WTG Audrey....great finish to the school year!! WOW, a senior!! Watch out world...she'll soon be taking it by storm!!
Jenny...actually not ALL airlines are keeping the middle seats open....SW is currently the only one that guarantees the empty middle seat!! Other airlines will fill every seat IF they have enough passengers on the flight....they will be the "last" seats assigned but can be filled if they need it!!
Carole...are you kidding me...only 3 on the crew??? Guess that is why missing 2 of them was a problem but if you were expecting a crew of 6 I would have been shocked!! How nice to have a great group of workers taking pride in their work and respect for the home owner!! Ah yes, old houses are infamous for not being "square"....I remember when we put up wall paper in the nursery at our old house .....didn't realize how "off" it was until we put up the chair rail and the bunny wall paper....by the time my dad got to the other end of the long wall, one of the bunnies got decapitated! LOL!! He actually had to start at the chair rail and go up instead of from the ceiling now.....he figured it out after the 3rd piece and changed his plan so it wouldn't look odd at the chair rail.
Of course it would cut out some light....it's 1/2 the glass of the slider!! I'm sure on a sunny day it will be just fine!! Sorry the day was "your day" as planned but I'm sure it was fun to have the girls.....I loved all the luminary photos and the video Tracy posted from Friday night. The luminary ceremony is always my favorite part of the RFL each year!!

WOW...I sure missed a lot this weekend....didn't even get on over the weekend!!
Christine...when we got to NC on Friday it was mid-80's and HUMID...overnight the humidity died down and Saturday it was low 80's and little or no humidity with a slight breeze...just perfect!! It was actually almost chilly!! D&K turned the AC off and opened up the windows and door to the enclosed porch to enjoy the beautiful day!! Your new umbrella sounds like the perfect "pop" of color the back deck needed!! Bummer about the no nap but SO HAPPY FOR LINDSEY!!! Finally a plan and she has something positive to look forward to in the fall! Guess her procrastination getting her application is was not an issue at all!! So happy for everyone...I know as a mom, you worry and hope things fall into place.....all prayers were answered!!
LOL Gabrielle....I love you only "shared" the cold weather! It's funny that a week or so ago the entire country was VERY hot and now the country is mostly cooler!! Usually the weather "travels" across the country but sometimes things just "settle" over us!
Christine....We spend a lot of time outside this weekend of on the back screened in porch enjoying the beautiful weather.... each night after supper we took the dogs for a nice walk....it was just what everyone needed to "recharge" this weekend!
Oh Christine...I totally get the frustration of your county still not going green....that was us when we stayed red when we had met the criteria for yellow. I do know that the criteria for going yellow to green is totally different and even though the counties and larger cities have more cases, their numbers and going DOWN each day and for some reason Erie is going up daily....while there is no magic number to meet with cases per day anymore because of more testing being done the main "yard stick" is the trends of cases going down......Erie needs to turn that around and they will indeed go green! I did see on FB that on Friday our area was very happy to finally be able to eat in a restaurant and get out in the world around!! I was very pleased to see that restaurants & bars really did their due diligence and heeded all the criteria to make sure it was done correctly so that people were distant to keep this moving forward in a healthy direction.
Speaking of restaurants...I was so impressed with Cracker Barrel on Friday....we got there and wore our masks into the restaurant.....they did have a pattern to head to the hostess stand where there were 6' markers on the floor between incoming parties. Menus were paper and were tossed after we ordered. There was nothing on the table and many tables had markers that said "table not in use". In our section only 7 of the 15 table were being used. After we ordered the waitress brought out whatever we needed....S&P, creamer, syrup, etc....when I asked to "warm up" of my coffee she said "we can't bring the pot out of the kitchen so I will bring you another cup". She explained that if it left the kitchen it had to be cleaned before it could go back....I watched some one clear another table and the S&P shakers and hot sauce bottles were all placed on a table and someone came out and wiped all of them off before bringing them back into the kitchen. Tables were cleared, wiped down and then sprayed and wiped down again with likely another disinfecting spray. It was a similar process to pay the cashier when leaving. I felt totally comfortable eating inside and was very pleased with the procedures CB has in place to make sure this opening is a safe one.
According to the waitress, they could have opened a few days earlier but the company decided that no one would be allowed into the restaurant prior to the inside opening except those that had been doing the carry out service all along. So when they could have people inside they brought the entire wait staff and kitchen staff in in groups to "train them" on the new procedures so that everyone knew what was expected. They actually had only opened up on Wednesday!!
Lisa....sounds like it was time to get those tires replaced! YAY for saving $100 over the price of the dealership...that is usually the case! Glad business seems to be picking up for Greg....that's a good sign that things are getting back to normal! Sounds like the scale cooperated while you were laid up post "bee incident"....great place to start!!
Christine...our Sunday was definitely simple....can't get much simpler than getting in a car and driving home! LOL!! I will say again the travel gods were with us and we made great time....best trip both ways ever!! At Thanksgiving, the drive down is always great but the drive home is a nightmare....yesterday we breezed right through Richmond, past Kings Dominion, through DC and Baltimore all at 70+ mph!! That NEVER happens on the way home!!
I texted David when we got close to the lot, we stopped there so Jason could check the broccoli and cauliflower and cut anything ready.....anyway, I thanked him for a much needed visit and he even said that for them it was "therapeutic" for their mental health. Like us, they are working but that's it!! Their area is just starting to open up and still no gyms, no inside entertainment like bowling, movies, etc.....they just started to open golf courses, outside pools and outside volleyball and tennis courts.
LOL Christine...I left NC and it was warm, sunny and nice....got home and it was cloudy, 66° and down right cold!! I got out of the car at the lot to check the garden and get some updated pictures as I hadn't been down since Jackson's birthday in May...WOW, had it grown and looked great!! I was out of the car about 5 minutes and got back in to get my sweatshirt!! Today is chilly too still....a bit overcast and breezy, still barely 70 degrees!
Christine...sounds like you had a very productive weekend....lots of weeding, adding River Rocks, weed killer.....tired just thinking about it!! Glad Ben came and helped out with lugging the River Rocks to the back yard...yes, he deserves lasagna for helping out! Always nice when you can feed them as a thank you!! OMG....Colby Girl is going to be the death of your nice back yard! Why does Gary not respect the work you have done and work with you to keep her out of the yard??? Grrr is right!! We no longer have Netflix....I gave up Netflix for Disney +.....
Yes...it's amazing how "off" you feel when you get dehydrated! By the time I got to David's on Friday I was so thirsty and I drank 2 of my 30 ounce tumblers of water in about and hour and a half!! I never drink much when we travel because you never know traffic and rest area options. Sometimes you arrive at one and it's closed or you are heading toward the next one and hit stand still traffic....I hate to get stuck and need to pee so I don't drink much on the road.

LOL...yes, NC was fabulous! We honestly didn't do anything! David went into work early so he could be home when we got there. Katie had taken Friday off to go look at a couple of cars with Sam...they have been looking for a car for him to take to school so that Chris could have the civic as his car and D&K didn't have to car pool to work as their schedules are really not close and they are not exactly "on the way" from one to another. They looked and two and found a nice 2015 Honda Civic for $10k in great condition, 4 brand new tires, low mileage for the age of the car....perfect car for him that will get him through college and many years after!!! It was so nice that Sam came home to see us....he's been staying at his apartment at school trying to find a job for the summer and one he can have PT during the next school year as well...so far no luck but he keeps trying. He actually lucked out that Katie got the alert about the 2 cars and was able to see them Friday so he got a bonus for his visit!!
Kris did come over on Friday for dinner, got there about 4:15 and left 8:30-ish....we just ordered pizza and hung out, went for a walk with the dogs!! Saturday when I came down from my shower at 9:00am she was already back.....UGH!! She is exhausting!! At one point I came in the house to get away from her and all her drama for awhile!! I left her on the porch with Katie and Jason....I just couldn't listen to her anymore!! Oh, she has 3 more tattoos and another piercing and up until 2 weeks ago she was only working PT at her job because of COVID-19. Then probably 4-5 times while there she got a phone call and said "nope, just a bill collector....they can't get blood from stone"! WTH....she has new tattoos and piercings but is not paying her bills!! Who does that? I was so glad she left right after we ate supper and didn't come for the walk with us!! I had a peaceful walk!! It was a much more relaxing evening!!
OMG...we decided to play board games....we laughed so hard playing "SORRY"...it was Katie, Sam, Chris and I.....needless to say we play a "no mercy" game! D&K were just like Jason and I, we never "let" our kids win a game or treated them any differently when we played....if you got knocked off with either a "sorry" card of just with the move....oh well! So, the boys learned early how to play to your own advantages!! So it was a "cut throat" couple of games and poor Sam was knocked off over and over but then tides turned and he ended up winning! 2nd game Sam "owned" the game until the very end, then Katie caught up and both were one card away from the win until a few "back up 4" cards got them vulnerable and Chris took them both out and he won! Needless to say, I was victim of the "sorry card" over and over and ended both games with pieces still in START!!
Kris and David decided to join us for a game of Phase 10.....Katie and I cleaned house....David and Sam gave us a little challenge but Kris and Chris were doomed the entire game!! I think they finished the game with 15 of the 20 cards still left in their pile!! I love to play games and that is one thing we always enjoy at David's!!
Carole...I wonder if you had Matt on your mind after the RFL event and that is why you had the odd dream about him??? Yes, despite being off Friday and Saturday you really were busy with so many things that took you away from getting ready for the new week...not to mention all the distractions of the girls, Tracy, your sister popping in...no wonder you didn't have time to catch up here!! I think the new mower for Ken is the perfect since you got your fridge! Hannah and Shea have a rechargeable electric mower and their batteries charge fairly quickly and last quite a long time and they can get a lot of mowing done on one battery!! How much does Ken have to mow???
Gabrielle....I totally get the build up of your frustrations and finally "losing it" with DH. No, I don't see it changing anytime soon! I will say, I would be very annoyed with Ed's long run, then visiting with others and being gone that long, knowing you are home doing everything else and knowing the you changed your day of the run to spend time together!! I know I had my own "break down" a while back and we can only "stuff in down" for so long and then it just boils over and it has to be let out!! You are right though about not a good idea to expose yourself to too many people since your DM does rely on your help!! No chance taking any added risks for her at this point!
Carole...had to laugh that Eden was up and coming in the house as you came down from the shower! She definitely is an early riser....Zoe will sometimes let you "sleep in" but not Eden!! I think I would be a bit miffed too at Tim....might be a mom thing??? Sorry everything you tried to do on Saturday ended up being a fiasco...some days just go like that!! Yes, the "funk/mood" could be the weekend...I'm sure it was a tough one with the Relay event and mixed emotions that brought! So glad you got a positive response from those that passed by the house!! LOL.....not surprised your are a "full service" resort, complete with the hot tub!! I don't blame you for coming home Friday and sleeping in your own bed...I would have done that too!!! I am NOT a camper either!! I love that you had a lazy Sunday morning while Ken and Tracy buzzed around you!!
I can only imagine how frustrating it is at the bank Carole with not everyone back doing their own jobs and adding interruptions to your day with calls from the tellers. Yes, even a "new normal" will help your mood. I'm sure with all that has happened since the beginning of the year for you it adds to your mood....Matt's cancer, surgery, death...then just when he passed the virus blew up and you couldn't have his funeral, work sent you home for weeks, now back to work with only partial staffing in many areas...so many changes, so many difficult things to deal with!! I get it.....hopefully as MA starts to open up and the virus gets under good control, life will indeed move toward a new normal!!
OK....caught up through Sunday....will be back later to see what Monday has in store for everyone!! I honestly have not been sitting at the computer all morning! I have done some laundry, cleaned the kitchen and ran the dishwasher, had brunch and a few other chores around the house....
Waves to all....see you in a bit....

Working on supper so figured since I need to be close to the stove it was the perfect time to finish catching up.....making a double batch of what I call "lazy lasagna".....I make the usual meat sauce and cheese mixture but instead of lasagna noodles I use egg noodles.....then, mix everything together, top with mozzarella cheese and done! No layers....it's not exactly lasagna but the same flavor and a lot faster!! It actually came about by accident one time when I thought I had lasagna noodles and I got everything all ready and when I went for the noodles I had 3....so I faked it with the egg noodles and everyone loved it!
Meats are browning now and will soon put the water on to boil the egg noodles a bit....don't do them too much as they get too soft as it bakes. I was only making one pan but Jason asked for a double batch so he could make a bunch of lunches for the freezer as he doesn't have anymore!!
Carole...amazing how quickly Monday comes around again....Unfortunately my only moving is puttering around the house, getting things back in order after the long weekend away! I will say it is nice to be off today so I could enjoy chatting with Hannah last night, not worrying about getting things ready for work today!! Guess that's the "silver lining" of being furloughed at this point!! Sorry either allergies or a summer cold are bothering you today...hope the coffee and shower relieved some of the crud!!
How fun to get your "fair fix" last night! Sounds like a perfect pick me up since the fairs are all cancelled this year!! In all honesty, the Big E will likely be cancelled or modified to a point that is just won't be fun....I say it's the perfect time to beg out of the event if it does go on! I know they have cancelled every fair here even the biggest one the York Fair.....that is a HUGE event and it's got cancelled weeks ago!! Guess the event coordinators knew that even with social distancing restrictions for the event people would likely not comply as they should so they opted not to take chances. At this point we are still at the max of 250 people gathered but even assuming that gets lifted the restrictions such as masks, limited attendees.....wasn't worth it!
Carole....I thought you had finished the patio power washing last week??? Must have missed something! Glad the pool area is all set for the summer fun to begin!! Sounds like a good idea to rearrange the timing of Mary's party and include it this weekend instead....between Tracy's surgery and M/P Anniversary it would be a tough time!! With Tracy's surgery changed are you taking Thursday instead of Friday that week or are you taking both instead???
Gabrielle...sorry for the restless night of sleep and sluggish feeling on the TM this morning! Does caffeine usually bother you if you have it too late?? I know for me, it doesn't matter at all...I can drink two cups of coffee in the evening and sleep like a baby!! Hopefully you can make it an early night tonight to try and catch up!
Oh Gabrielle...don't ever apologize for "feeling" things...yes, we all have a lot to be grateful for but this time of uncertainty was NOT in the plans.....the isolation and changes to everything we do is hard and sometimes it just gets to us!! WOW, can't believe with a broken crown they let you go so long!! I would have been afraid more would break off and really cause an issue!! Oh YIKES!! I guess I was assuming the shower was going to be a reasonably small event in light of the COVID....yes, I would definitely get a bit of information on the situation....best to know what's up before you get there and are surprised!! I personally would not be comfortable at a "big shindig" at this point!!
Christine...it was more cloudy earlier today and now it seems like the sun is trying to shine a bit more....it is warming up a bit but not much!! Going to enjoy it the next couple days as by Thursday....HHH is back to stay for a while!! Looks like each day will warm a bit and then Thursday the humidity comes back just as the temperatures really "heat up"! LOL...I have on capris, a T-shirt and my slippers because my feet are cold too...I look silly but I don't care!
Good luck with the research project but I have a feeling your gut is right about parents revolting...I know it would NOT go over well here!!
Meat sauce is done and the water is just about ready for the noodle...time to get this finished up so I just have to bake it later!!
Hope all are having a great day.....

Well....looks like I'm going to work tomorrow to do more handwork....while I'm starting to feel a bit "used" by Sheridan at this point I'm grateful for each week it pushes off COBRA!! At least the laundry is done so my stuff is ready to go!!
I also got an email that Planet Fitness is opening up a on Wednesday so will hopefully get there this week to start to get some sort of routine going again....have to admit, not super fond of the gym idea yet but will check it out to see what sort of precautions and distancing they have in place!!

So much for getting back here today. I feel horrible Went to dr with a kidney infection and because I have a fever and a small cough they tested me for covid. Now I’m stuck at home in quarantine until results come back. I’ve never felt this bad and in so much pain. Flu like symptoms but I read that was normal for kidney infections. I got a shot at the dr but then she gave me pills and now I feel nauseous. I hope I can keep it down. Don’t want to have to go get shots for a few days. I have slept all day and been chilled. Hoping to feel better soon. Can’t really focus to much since I’m in pain but wanted to let you all know what’s going on. I’m sure the test will come back negative but the waiting will kill me.
