Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
A busy morning ahead. I’m going to change out my cable box today, have an appointment at 10. I’ve had to reboot it almost every day, stations freezing, delays when changing stations, and my channel setups look ok, but they aren’t working. It’s been years since the equipment was last swapped out so it makes sense.
Then I’m heading to the grocery store. Picking up fruits and veggies, and my chicken supply is getting low. I’m either going to bake oatmeal muffins or baked oatmeal today so I have something for breakfast at work tomorrow.
And I have an appointment at Best Buy to find out more about Smart TVs, I want to let them know what I want to mainly use it for, Youtube and exercise sites, and I want to hear their recommendations. I have a 32” TV now, measured my entertainment center and should be able to get a 50” TV.
Met with electrician yesterday, nice guy. He grew up in the village and has had his business in the area since 1994. It’s just down the street from me. Gave me some suggestions for the outside lighting, definitely says my major list must be taken care of. He will email the estimate. Had good ideas for my garage lighting too.
Dottie - are the exercises that you learned at PT easy to do at home? I don’t remember all of the ones I used to do, but I remember a few could be done from my bed, when I first got up in the morning.
Ruth - hoping your new cpap helps with your sleeping. I remember being tired all the time, wasn’t fun.
Time for coffee. Later.

Good morning all. I’m not going to start the cpap until tonight. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to hear Mara; and I have to set it up with my phone so it will send nightly results in for them to see. Then they know if they need to make changes to any of the settings. I did not want to mess with that with Mara yesterday.
DS said they are leaving the cabin about 10:30; so they will go trade cars (get the new one checked out while they can still return if anything major is found); pick up the dogs and go home and unpack; then meet up to get Mara. Much easier for them. I’ll try to get her a nap since it’ll be late afternoon before we meet up. Sounds like they had a good time. DIL did a 13 mile trail run yesterday. Not sure how long that took her.
I need to make a bunch of phone calls this morning. Schedule my next haircut; a pedicure; a manicure; a massage. Have to coordinate all that because the massage gal is in a new place.
Fingers crossed his estimate comes in low enough for you to do all the required work Joy. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
ok, going to get dressed and get moving. So I can get some things done! I’ll check in later.

Joyce, they gave me a sheet of exercises (6) to start with. They are very basic. Each visit they do different things, starts with heat for 10 to 15 minutes then a massage, they usually concentrate on the knee cap and my ham string muscles because they are always tight. Then bike for 10 minutes, then some more stretches and balance work. Then an ice pack for 10 to 15 minutes. Basically the stretches I can do at home. I also purchased a DVD with knee exercises to strengthen my muscles. So far so good. I was glad to hear that you liked the electrician and hopefully he will give you a good estimate.
Ruth, hope the CPAP works good for you. Sounds like you have lots of appointments to make. Hope you can get everything coordinated. Does Stan every make bone broth in his instapot? We had a rotisserie chicken this week and yesterday I used the carcass to make broth. I have done this several times, it comes out so good and very little work involved with it.
Busy morning so far. I cleaned the daffodil bulbs. There was still some dirt and leaves on them. I must have 250 to 300 bulbs. I put them in mesh bags and hung the bags in the basement (cool and dry space). I finished the shopping for the weekend. Both boys will be up at the lake for FD. Monday is DS#2 birthday (39). We usually take him out to dinner, will wait and see if we can find a place we would be comfortable going. I wiped down all my kitchen cabinets. Since we are doing much more cooking than usual it seems that the kitchen needs cleaning constantly. Plus even though Bill doesn’t really cook he still messes up the kitchen/counters just making coffee. I used Murphy’s Oil soap for cabinets – that seems to work good. What do you use to clean kitchen cabinets?
