Good morning all. Another great night where I slept right through...only woke up once early morning and went right back at it Gotta love when that happens.
Going to be another HHH day here. I shall plan my walking around that.
Happy to say nothing on the agenda. A few household chores and that's that.
I did finish my book and have to return it to the library and I think I have another one downloaded. Will check it out and dive in.
Waving.............and wishing all a great day.................Will CBL

TGIF! Friday again. These weeks zoom by. I can't believe how fast they are going.
We had a nice anniversary/birthday celebration last night. I loved my eggplant parm w/ a half of a meatball on the side and DH devoured his Mediterranean olive/lemon/spinach dish with an Italian sausage on the side. The blueberry cobbler served warm was a hit with the vanilla ice cream on top. He showed up with a dozen roses and we exchanged sweet and funny cards. That's a wrap on 42 years! As one of my comical friends once said, that is enough for 3-4 marriages for people our age! Ha ha. Thought that was a funny one.
Today I plan to do a few loads of laundry and a quick tidying of bathrooms and kitchen. I'll use the wet swifter on the kitchen floor - makes it smell and feel a bit cleaner even if it is a quick fix.
I finished watched a very dark Spanish mystery series on Netflix called Bitter Daisies. I liked the lead actress/detective. Not sure what I will watch next! I'm sure I'll find something.
We'll be off to the Cape again - tonight or tomorrow all depending on our energy levels at night!
Have a great day - Ann, so good that you slept well! Makes every day happier and easier to get through no matter what challenges lie ahead!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I have to agree with Judy that the days seem to be just flying by!! I went for my haircut yesterday and was very happy!! We cut it short, but it is Summer and I don't plan to get back into that "every 5 weeks" routine again any time soon. So this one can grow until I can't stand it and then I'll call her. It was so nice to have a less than 10 minute drive to the salon, then a half hour there, and same short drive back home. I had gotten so used to my haircut taking a half a day out of my schedule.
Ann ~ A good night's sleep is a wonderful thing! I woke up in the wee hours of the morning also, and went back to bed and thought I'd just lie there for a few minutes, and when I woke up it was 7:30!! Yay for me!!
Pam ~ You were right about the RV toilet paper. I had read the package and it was supposed to be something special – however they looked just like the other tiny rolls which our store carried later – EXCEPT that they were almost three times the price!! I got them returned just before Meijer began limiting their return policy due to COVID.
Judy ~ You’re awesome with doing the ribs!! If I had known about that method, I might have tried them at home sooner. I only knew about parboiling them, and that didn’t appeal to me at all. Yours are all done? And you can have them whenever you want??
Our supper last night was great, even if a bit heavier on SP than usual. I had a Kroger FF NSA Fudge Bar for dessert which was only 2 SP, and went 'over' by only 1. I had my yogurt 'n berries breakfast today. I am still deciding about supper, which will be salad - but I will have to decide between pizza or chicken on top??
Today I'm gonna do a bit of this 'n that around here - Change our bed, DH's work laundry, clean the bathroom, and Swiffer the kitchen floor, then vacuum. Sounds like a lot, but actually it can all be done in about an hour. It is already 81 dg with 45% humidity,so I don't think I'll be walking.
BBL. Make a great day!!

LOL Judy yes you are right. Now a days I swear people are 'rubbernecking' as they are walking down the aisle to get married. Congratulations on a fun evening and here's to another 42 years Enjoy the cape whenever you decide to go. Isn't it wonderful to NOT have a schedule? ? Love that you can pick and choose when you feel up to doing anything. So much more enjoyable that way. Throw a slab of that blueberry cobbler to me Bet it was so darn good. A good night sleep is the gift that $$ just can't buy. I am feeling so much better and appreciating every minute. OMG I just finished using the swiffer on the kitchen and both bathrooms. Must be something in the air. I was just not up to dragging out the steamer. That can wait for another day and another time. I did call our oil company to set up the budget for next year. New one will begin in July. They are easy to deal with and appreciate their customers not going in. Can't say as I blame them. Sue I don't blame you for not walking. I walked later in the evening and the other times during the day were cut shot. Right now we don't have much sunshine which I'm sure will help......with my luck when I decide to go out it will be sunshine blue sky LOL. Pam hope you are enjoying your day. Going to get a move on...........a S L O W move on later!

Good morning all!
I was up and out early for Mass & my private time at church, then walked 2.26 miles at a good pace. I was down 1.4 at WI. I would be excited, but that is .2 more than when I restarted WW 11/25/19, so I have basically maintained for 7 months. Rather than get depressed, I will be thankful that I haven't gained. I have tracked my meals for the day: breakfast- yogurt, fruit & seeds. Lunch - salad with chicken breast, boiled egg and Bolthouse Ranch. Dinner - Jamaican meat pies, sauteed zucchini & tomato, corn.
To answer your questions, "sea rack" is what they call the dried sea grass/swamp grass that washes in whenever we have a storm with high tides. It is like a thick, drinking straw--hollow in the center and about 1-2 ft. in length. I emailed a picture DD2 took of the front yard. It was pretty much that thick on all sides. It is difficult to rake because it's several inches deep, but very light to carry, once you get it piled with a pitchfork. There is a canal behind the property that leads to a larger canal, that leads to a bigger bayou, that leads to the mouth of the Pearl River, which separates Mississippi & Louisiana and leads to the Gulf of Mexico. Basically, everything south of us is low swampland, so when the tide gets high (about 5-7 ft.above normal for Cristobal) it washes inland.
I am trying to get up the energy to start weeding through my closet some more. I got rid of several pair of shoes. Now it's time to part with some clothes that I haven't worn in a couple of years. Since it's too hot to venture outside much, this task, while dreaded, is a no-brainer. I know I will be pleased once it's done.
Dee stopped by while bike riding yesterday evening and had a nice visit with DH and I in the green room. DH gifted her with a jar of bread & butter pickles from my mom's recipe and she was delighted. A neighbor "loaned" her a 3 wheeled bike and she has been building strength riding it most afternoons. Her life has improved so much since moving back here! She did pass on a bit of bad news. Her neighbors' Siamese cat went missing a few days ago. Another neighbor found one leg while mowing and it is suspected that coyotes got it. (Reason #1 why we bring our two babies in before dark.) This one was a child's beloved pet, so doubly sad. They live in the house that was my childhood home, but I don't know them.
My theory on the short marriages these days is that people have become too self-entitled and don't know how to compromise and make it through the difficult times. They give up and move on, hoping for perfection in a mate and I think we all know that perfection isn't possible--only a "perfect for me" person, meaning one who can accept my imperfections while I accept his. My weaknesses are his strengths and his are mine. Together, we make ONE. I was lucky to have many good examples of long, happy marriages in my family and elders who weren't shy about talking about the hard times and how to overcome them. I remember my maternal grandfather telling me that he and my Gram decided they would never go to sleep while angry with each other. He said there were times he changed from bed slippers to work boots without ever closing his eyes. They would sit on the bed and hold hands and talk things out. Sometimes, by the time they finished, it was time to milk the cows, lol. But they had been married 69 years when he died in 1980.
I finished my Barbara Delinsky Family Tree and started Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane on audio. I am enjoying the quirky main character in The Helpline, who I suspect has Asperger's. I also have an Elin Hilderbrand A Summer Affair waiting in the wings. So much to read, so little time!
Have a great day!

Hi All ~ I am moving right along!! I changed up my plans a bit, since I added some things, so I dropped some.
I have changed the bed, and done DH's work laundry (which is all folded and ready for him to carry upstairs and put away) and did some of our laundry. Meanwhile, I cooked some pasta and made a Tuna Macaroni Salad for (probably) tonight's supper. I got on the computer and paid some bills, and balanced the checkbook. Then I updated some WW recipes and made up a couple of to-do lists.
Pam ~ Thanks for the picture of the sea rack. What a mess! Glad to hear that it is light, as otherwise it would be unmanageable. I so enjoyed your story about marriage. We are really missing our Retrouvaille (Christian Peer Ministry for Troubled Marriages) during this pandemic. We have been involved with them since 1995 and attending our meetings and presenting sessions keeps us 'fresh' with our tools. After 25 years of practice, it comes pretty naturally now, but we still work at it. I know what you mean about gearing up to clean out your closet .... I have been doing the same thing with my kitchen cupboards (which are almost done). The results always make it worth the effort (along with having the time to devote to it).
We had a little 'moment' at our house when I reminded DH (for the umpteenth time) to call and make an appointment for a blood test. His cardiologist sent him an order form and the accompanying sheet says to call for an appointment, and to be fasting. It wasn't that difficult, they open at 8 in the morning and he could go early and then begin his work day. I knew that was what was holding him up (been here, done this). But I sense he hasn't been feeling 100% which made that blood test doubly important to me. He is due for a RL appointment with his cardiologist, and I told him I am sure they are waiting for his blood test results before calling him to schedule. So after several days of grousing and complaining and acting out just a bit ... he called them this morning. He had to leave a message, but they called him back after he left and then he called me to tell me when it is so I could put it on our calendar (or just so I'd know he did it). Monday morning he goes to have his blood drawn and then I can look online and see his results.
I have our dark load in the dryer now, so I think that after I bring them up and fold them, am going to take the rest of the afternoon off. I may play some games, or I may read, or I may watch another episode of "Council Of Dads". Yesterday I watched the episode from last week, then I went back and watched the first episode again (to refresh my memory) so I may re-watch the whole Season 1.
Later .....

Pam good to see you. Happy that you are down in your weight and maintaining for 7 months. Better than the 'other way' I finished my book and downloaded Someone Knows by Lisa Scottoline. I like her books, and hopefully this one will keep my interest. Like you, so many books, so little time. I tried to get into 2 that I had downloaded and after a few chapters of just 'reading words' I returned them. Don't even remember the titles LOL....life and learn. So very sorry about the poor cat. Coyotes are horrible when they travel in packs. So many people here have lost cats to them. When we lived in the city, Rachel was an indoor/outdoor cat. When we moved here, she got spooked early on and never had the desire to traipse outdoors. We were very pleased with her decision. I so miss Rachel..... Thank you for the explanation on sea rack. Sounds like it is difficult to deal with. I bet you are happy it's over with for now. Awesome that Dee is doing so well. I so agree with your ideas on marriage. People just don't want to put the time and effort into a relationship. I often say that Carl and I make one person....he has very poor hearing and mine is great, while he has great sight and mine leaves MUCH to be desired. I often call my eyeglasses 'facial decoration' Each time I go to my eye doctor, she tells me that the Macular degeneration has taken a little more of my sight. So long as I can still read my kindle, it's all good It's hot here. I took a 1 mile walk and won't go back out until the sun has set. Time to grab another iced water, my kindle and settle in to read. Wishing all a great and healthy eating day
