Good morning ~ SATISFYING... Let's make today SATISFYING... nothing "special" or not "perfect", but SATISFYING. I know I need to feel more SATISFIED with LESS these days... less expectations out of myself - out of others - out of life! I need to learn to be satisfied more easily... and put less stress on ME - MYSELF... no one else puts this much ON ME - it's ALL ME... I expect too much lately!
I start today by having some quiet time, then off to my hair cut... hoping I am SATISFIED with that today! Then home to get things ready for tomorrow. I need to do some cleaning - as - YES - we too have a chance of pop up showers, so we may need to move the BD party indoors! UGH! But if we do - we do.. I just need to be ready for it - just in case!
I also have several things I need to get done on the computer today - looking up finance info, to get all our ducks in a row - so to speak.
Meanwhile let me catch up if I can ♥

JO: Thinking of you - have to read on to see if you popped in after your MRI... but been thinking of you all day yesterday ♥
Gabrielle: OH my... good luck with your HOT weather coming! WHAT? No time off for you? While I am not surprised... I am sad for you. I think you deserve some time - everyone around you has had time off during all of this... it's just "too much"!
Jenny: WOW - Good for WWOW talking with you... wish she could give me some pointers on letting stuff go! I wish I was closing in on retirement as she is... that would certainly help get me out of this funk!
Around here all we really have is HD. It is in the same town I work in... Lowe's is another 30 minutes down, making it about an hour to get there from home! I Know a lot is done on line... but I went with HD over Lowe's due to delivery! Yep, Lowe's doesn't haul away, and HD was going to be a week earlier delivery! Well that came back to bit me didn't it??? Now to order this same fridge ANYWHERE... delivery is mid-late AUGUST! Seems it is out of stock EVERYWHERE all of a sudden! There are just not many appliance stores anywhere around us any longer!
I told Ken at this rate we will have to update ALL of our appliances, WHITE doesn't seem to be easy to get any more... if I google WHITE - COUNTER DEPTH - FRENCH DOOR, it doesn't come up with many choices! We may be getting ALL NEW and go Stainless even though I do NOT LIKE Stainless Steel! LOL Seems that is what's out there these days! OH and it;s not that I don't like stainless - completely - just not in my WHITE kitchen!! Not to mention I truly don't want to replace everything just to changes the color! UGH! We may settle for a regular size... which I wanted to get away from... it sticks out and I do not like it - but may have to "settle" for it... UGH Too many things to think about right now!
Jo: I missed where you said Em was going into mechanics... WOO HOO Good for her!! There is a "trade" that will never be replaced by a machine!

OK Ladies - I need to get moving, my little Zoë is up and at 'em already! She is usually the one that sleeps in until 10! Not today! Oh well, I need to head to the shower anyway - haircut at 8:30... not sure how this will go, but I need it done - so I have to "risk it" I guess.
Will try to CBL as the day goes on - hoping Gabrielle, you have decent early morning temps for your run this morning!
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
So the day begins...super long run today, but it will be good to get it under my belt. The marathon I am preparing for is outside of Seattle, WA in mid-August and (so far) it is still a go. WA has to be in phase 4 for it to happen though...right now they are in phase 2. By 7/13 we will know (they will call it) so I will train for it in the meantime. 3:55 am and 71 degrees right now--it's going to be a hot one! Glad that we are starting early. I am actually doing about an hour alone and then will meet someone for the remainder. So glad it is Saturday! Yes, the next two weeks are supposed to be off....but with Zooms most days next week, I will be "off" but on for those. The following week looks calmer though. Eh, it's okay. This has been a weird year all the way around, hasn't it?
Carole: Lucky you---to have little Miss Zoe there! Yay for a haircut too! That will feel good. I hope that tomorrow's celebration can be outside as planned...hoping for good weather for you. I do remember you saying that you would celebrate the birthday at the same time--nice! I do think of Patti right now with the anniversary coming up (and you). I am so surprised about the fridge---why would everyone be buying appliances right now? So odd...and SO disappointing all of the way around! At the same time, I would have done what you did and cancelled. By the way, I really like the counter depth as well.....hope that it all works out. Hmmm...being satisfied. I do agree that we need to NOT be so demanding of ourselves. I do think that, if we find happiness, that state of mind seems to make everything go better. So many challenges to feeling that in our current situation...maybe tomorrow, if you can stop and just stand there and look over the family that is there with you, you can feel that moment of peace and satisfaction? It's hard to stop rushing around and do that! Well, enjoy your day and your haircut!

Sue: So glad that you are getting that training and have some commitments to work through 7/10! Woohoo! I can't wait to hear about the paint party too--what a nice way to end the week!
Jenny: So good to hear from you and WOW, what a turnaround with WWOW....I guess you have to change the name for her now, huh? That is so heartwarming to hear how it all happened. I'll bet that it has changed your whole attitude about work too...wonderful! Yes, we have a mandatory mask order in CA now....fine with me! No questions! Hope that you have a good day!
Jo: I am thinking about you...hope that everything went okay yesterday and that you get results quickly.
Lisa: That will be nice to have FD together! All of the fathers have passed here (at least for me and DH) so it is DH's day when we celebrate here. It will be good to have the kids here.
Christine: hope that your weather is good and you can bike, get in the boat, etc.
Okay, time to sign off and get out of here...OH, and I have a mani/pedi today!!! Yes! They opened yesterday---probably one of the cleanest and safest things that has been closed....they always wear masks and I will wear mine too. It is appt only so I have one this afternoon--yahoo! See you all later.

Good Morning! Yay for Saturdays!!! And YES I too will look to make it a Satisfying day. Doing it so far Slept in until 6:30 when DH has to rise for work. Got a load of laundry going before he needs to shower - can't have the washer using his 'hot' water at same time which, by the way, in this modern world you CAN but DH insists it drains from his shower - sigh - so I humor him and time the use of the washing machine lol Sitting outside now - cup of coffee, sunshine, warmth, and quiet of the morning. Except for that pesky stray cat - it just now wandered too close to our porch and ColbyGirl pulled a 'Cujo' on it which scared the bejeezus out of me, the darn cat and Colby herself!! LOL Now Colby is keeping guard by staring at the neighbor's where the cat ran (geesh my heart is still going!) No major plans for this day. NONE. NADA. LOL HOORAY!! Thinking of going for a WALK now as it's going to get hot later and I just feel the need to move more. Yesterday was a beautiful, absolutely beautiful day on our Peninsula. Our Bay was 'still as glass' which prompted me to suggest to Carly when we rent Kayaks to get the special 'Touring' style in order to take them out on the Bay - it's a large open area with potential for high waves from the wake of boats so this type of Kayak is narrow on bottom to easily ride rougher waters. So we did - and not many boats were out on the Bay, at least, no where near us - I can officially check off an item on my Bucket list I didn't venture that far away from the shoreline, not like my Lindsey who aims for the opposite side (which is about 2 miles) which intimidates me!

Gabrielle - ENJOY your super long run now! Glad to hear some one will be running with you later into it - support will be great! I am very sorry to hear your personal time off will not necessarily mean time away from work issues - but I do get it. Especially during all this unrest with the Pandemic. It has NOT gone away - we are just trying to navigate our way through it to live our lives. It is all so crazy...what about your flight to So Cal? Jo - Well, How did it Go!? very eager to hear from you - in fact I tried to Messenger you yesterday to send positive thoughts but my phone messed it up and somehow I messaged a young man named Dmitri which made me nervous and well, forget it. Just know the thought was there Carole - Oh, just enjoy this beautiful day. Hopefully like us, your weather will predict Pop up Thunderstorms that just roll past - I ended up watering all my flowers last night as the rains went South of us Did you get into the Pool yesterday with Eden? Hooray for an official Haircut appt. Our County is finally designated GREEN next Friday, June 26 and trust me, I will be calling for an appointment for a Pedi!!!! I agree, was it Gabrielle? that our Nail Salons are actually the cleanest of places with tools sterilzed and workers wearing masks anyways! I have no objection to wearing a mask, ever. Just need to keep remembering to have it with me at all times. Interesting take on your kitchen appliances - I'm thinking the White will be more difficult to buy - honestly, Stainless Steel does look good in an all white kitchen - maybe slowly turn over that way so you can have far more options in different models coming out? We switched from black front appliances to stainless steel. Not hard to keep clean at all, but you DO see smears and fingerprints easily. Our dishwasher is next - I swear it's the original from 25 years ago. When we bought the house 12 years ago it had a white panel, but DH flipped the panel to opposite side which was black all along LOL Sue - sounds like yesterday was a productive day! And yes, sounds very promising with Todd trying to find you a more permanent position. Sorry, outta time - I want to accomplish so much this morning! Lindsey will be home later today and we are planning our own family Disney Party on our Deck tonight to celebrate our Trip that never came to be...LOL...Don't ask.

Good morning! I went to bed last 845 kay night totally drained, and still feeling drained from the 2 xanex I took before the mri. I was on that thing for 40 minutes. They took pictures I had to hold my breath on and off and then the injected the dye. I didnt feel that more breathing with my left arm over my head. Came home made dinner. The oner of the worst parts was not drinking all day.
After dinner I checked my app that my Dr put all my info and messages on. The mri showed the mass was a bunch of blood vessels. I do have a very fatty liver and must lose weight before it turns into liver disease. He want me to go to a GI DR to get their take on it. There is still the issue of my liver being enlarged.
So after a good nights sleep I'm feeling like a new woman. This gives me the motivation i need to really stick with WW.

Carole, thanks for starting us. Sorry you are going through such a troublesome time. I hope your landscaper gets his butt in gear. Are you having everyone over for FD? We don't have plans here. I will spend part of the weekend prepping salads and veggies. What is Tracy having surgery for? Hope you get to enjoy Boston fir a little while. Oh yeah hope their pool and hot tub are open. I have white appliances too. Hope you find what you want. When we got our dishwasher DH picked it up so we didnt have to wait. When we got s new washer/driver last year, they delivered it. One guy and he tore up our floor back there! Oh we were pissed!
Ladies thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support It means so much to me to know each of you are there for me.
Christine, you kayaking on the lake sounds wonderful. We are supposedto have the same earner here just 10 deg. Hotter. Hope you do nothing but relax this weekend. I wad with you concerning work. I just couldn't focus on my work. I had a lot to do yesterday so the morning went fast
Gabrielle, enjoy that long run. I hope your marathon doesnt cancel. Your job sounds pretty stressful. How Is it going with you're son living on his own? Steven loves it but is still home alot.
Sue, that is great news on your job front! So nice to know that the powers that be are working to keep you there. That was a great evaluation. Yay for working just enough to still get you unemployment. Your painting nice dound like it will be a blast. Do you have to wear s mask. As textured painting sounds so cool.

Afternoon all...I feel like a million bucks!! That massage did wonders for all the achy, tight, stressed muscles in my body!! All the "knots" are gone and I'm "loose as a goose"!! I have already scheduled my next one for August 1st.... I came home and told Jason how good I felt and he said "maybe you should schedule one for every 6-8 weeks or so"....I laughed and told him I already did!! I gave him a gift certificate for Christmas so he plans to call and schedule his now that we are "green" and massage parlors can open!!
Got the shopping done and Walmart wasn't too busy....lots of self check-outs open when I got to the end!! Plan to grill some chicken breasts tonight and do some broccoli/cauliflower in the IP...it turns out perfectly steamed and you can make a bunch to last a couple days as leftovers!! Seems odd planning for lunches again!! LOL...haven't done it in 5 weeks and I'm a bit out of practice!! I picked up a salad dressing and couple other things to put in the fridge and in my desk for the next 3 weeks like I had in my old desk....
OK...back to this...started this post 2 hours ago and got side tracked doing 27 other things, and finally Jason went to the lot so he's out of my hair and I have some time to try and catch up a bit...totally missed yesterday!!
Carole...sorry Thursday was a rough day and the "late" morning started the day off on the wrong foot! Glad you had time to drop off the car and walk to work! Good for you turning down Deb's offer of a ride back in the afternoon! Glad it was all covered....sometimes car repairs can be so expensive!!
Shelly...so glad you are feeling much better and the test came back negative!! I personally am glad you had to stay home...you have been burning the candle at both ends for too long and your body needed a few days of rest!! Heck, I wouldn't have admitted the doctor called early in the morning...I would have enjoyed one more day to rest and really get back to normal!! LOL! I actually heard on the news that OK has had a big jump in cases lately??? How scary the woman shops at your store and could have exposed everyone to the virus....fingers crossed no one gets it!! Good to know that you have someone you can lean on if you need to head in later some days...I'm sure if she is not used to the 6:00am start time it is really early!! Have to admit I do like going in at 8:00am.....I'm not a morning person!!
Yes Shelly...you did keep reminding me to have hope and while I'm not convinced things are going to work out, I have some hope now and with Paul & Todd in my corner!! When I stopped at the main building to get my temperature taken I stopped at my desk to grab some things to bring over to the other WH for the next 3 weeks...Paul was 20 questions about how I was, how was the family, is Shea flying or has he left for his training, etc. As I left to head to the other warehouse he said..."hang in there, we're doing what we can"!! Feels really good to hear it from BOTH Paul & Todd!!

Jo...thanks for starting us off Friday...guess with Carole and Christine both off they slept in....they are the usual "week day starters"!! Sorry for the restless night, especially since you need to get up at 5:00am for some coffee and breakfast before you had to fast for the MRI! While it would have been nice to be off, at least you didn't waste an entire vacation day just to sit at home until it was time to leave for the test!
Carole...I'll be anxious to hear if you can go into the hospital/surgical center next week....I know that here it wasn't until "green" that visitors were allowed in the hospitals at all....and still, I think it was only 1 at a time. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get to enjoy the pool/hot tub at the hotel!! Good idea to just enjoy the time away and not have to deal with "life" for a couple days!
Gabrielle...will say I don't enjoy your 100+° days....then again you are dry so it will likely be not as bad as upper 80's and HIGH humidity....the humidity is what kills me! Today when I got home from my massage and grocery shopping it was only 78° but the humidity was so high the air was tough to breathe!! I had to turn on both oscillating fans to just get air moving because it was so still and oppressive! OMG...you are SO RIGHT about all the miscommunication through all this COVID chaos!! So glad you were able to "calm the masses"!! Yes, before you start "shooting off your mouth" you need to read EVERYTHING and make sure you have your facts straight! I'm so bummed you can't enjoy a couple weeks off.....just doesn't seem fair that you have to pass on earned vacation time! I'm sure it this was any other year things would likely be different but still...I'm sure everyone else has taken their vacation and you are stuck "coming up short"!
So glad your district is trying to help the kids that always seem to "get lost in the shuffle"! So many times the kids that struggle for whatever reason seem to become an "after thought"...I know the LIU kids that used to come to the Y every other Friday were such a joy....they struggled physically, emotionally, because of behavior issues, etc and were in the "special ed" class and always looked at as "sub par"....but they are kids, they are NORMAL kids with challenges. I loved my Friday's and as a parent, their visit put a new light on how lucky I am as a parent and now grandmother to have what society deems "normal" children I know how blessed I am! But I will say...those kids gave me so much love and if I run into them now 13+ years later, they remember my voice and will always give me a hug and it melts my heart!! Sarah's neighbor has CP from a birth injury and he too is a joy! What I love most is that Sarah and Josh are so close with Tracy and Jamie and to them and the boys....Mason is just "the neighbor boy"! He is always included in whatever capacity he can participate and the neighborhood kids treat him like "one of them"....even on the slip and slide...Mason gets a turn and the kids cheer when he has a "good run"!! Makes my heart so happy!

Carole....hope you had a little peace and quiet even with Eden and her RC car!! Often hard to concentrate when the grandkids are here!! I know I don't always get much accomplished when the boys are here for the weekend!! Glad you hopefully got to enjoy a fun pool day yesterday with Eden...By the time I was heading home from work the skies opened up and it poured....didn't rain long, the temps dropped the humidity went up...it was so sticky last night....
I don't "do" Father's Day for Jason either...yes, this year I made the succulent planter and told him it was "for Father's Day" but it was really just a gift I knew he would love and since the original time schedule was right before Easter, which I also don't "do" for Jason, I joked it was supposed to be for Easter but COVID decided it was Father's Day instead. I honestly have never gone overboard even for my dad or DFIL...it was usually just dinner and time together...yes, I would send them each a card but that's it!! The girls usually just call to chat with him or if around will stop in to spend time! Tomorrow we will spend time with Sarah and Josh at Colton's tournament so I know that will be a fun way to spend part of the day!!
Carole...I know the next couple of weekends will be tough with Zoe's first FD w/o Matt and then their anniversary the next weekend...again, so many "first" so close together....be kind to each other....I'm sure emotions will be right on the surface!
I will say Carole that after Todd talked to me on Wednesday about why I was being called in I don't feel as much like a "doormat"...I know they did it with a plan to help me....I'm so glad he said something, even if he did say "if you say anything, I will deny it"! Todd has such a big heart and truly cares about the people he supervises. Paul is the same way! Unfortunately both of them because of the positions they hold are often thought of as the "bad guys" when everything they have to share and then enforce comes from people above them and even if they don't agree...they have to do it for their job security! I thankfully know the "soft and human" side of both of them and have always love working for them and felt appreciated!
Oh...OK....since your bank and Matt's bank names are so similar I get confused....remember when I sent you the picture of the bank at the flower bridge thinking it was yours....you said it was actually Matt's!
Oh...last night I saw the next painting we will be doing...I'm lucky, mine is a "freebie" as I have a full punch card! But even if it was not I would be doing it...it's on slate! Carole...do you still have the slate from your roof or did you get rid of it?? I told Lacey last night that you took off your slate roof and she said "where does she live?? I'll go get it"! Well Spring Grove PA to MA is a bit far to run on the spur of the moment...but if you still have it and we can "hook up" next time I get to New England...she will take it off your hands!! Not sure how much we could bring back in the car but we would gladly do it to help both you and Lacey out!!
Carole...I'm sure it's hard not to feel "pushed aside" by the landscaper....I'm sure part of it is trying to get things coordinated with others as the county/state opens with limitations......hang in there, you WILL get your yard done and it WILL look awesome!! LOL, I used to have a widow's peak/cowlick right in the middle of my forehead too but honestly, my forehead is so short that I could hide it better having no bangs!! I don't have it anymore since the Moh's surgery for the basal cell but still, by 4 weeks with bangs....they were in my eyes and driving me nuts!! I would have had to trim/cut mine by now if I hadn't been since 2/27....either that or my bangs would be "grown out" by now...that is how fast my hair grows!! All my other siblings have high foreheads like DM....me, I'm my dad and short it is!! AND....a head full of cowlicks everywhere....also thank you to the "Olson gene pool"! Poor Hannah got the cowlicks too and hates them!! Both Kellen and Kale have a head full of them too and their hair can be so "out of control"!! LOL!

Jenny...YAY for finally getting some "me time"!! Are you kidding me?? WWOW apologized??? That is so refreshing that she finally looked at herself and realized who she was becoming.....I hope she can truly be at peace with everything and look forward to retirement!!
It's funny Jenny & Carole...here in town, everyone goes to HD and hates Lowe's!! Amazing how each store and the customer service can be so different. I know for us, the quality of everything is so much better at HD than Lowe's...seems Hanover gets the "low" quality stuff at Lowe's and HD is the middle of the road yet affordable at HD. We have other appliance stores but the prices are so high!! We always do our research before we get anything, unless it's an emergency like a dead fridge in July, so that when we go into the store we know what we are looking for and if it's not in the store, we order it!! Thankfully DC Carol's hubby Ken does renovations/additions for a living and he KNOWS appliances...he's always my "go to brain to pick"!! LOL!
Jenny....haven't seen Colton since his mamaw died...will see him tomorrow and look forward to giving him a huge "grandma hug"! I know it has to be hard for him....she was such a huge presence in his life and now she is gone..... Thankfully his routine has gotten back to normal and having baseball back I'm sure really helps!!
Lisa....hope you enjoyed your meatloaf!! Have to laugh...I HATE meatloaf!! My DM made it once a week and to this day....YUCK!! Jason loves it so if he wants it, he makes it!! Enjoy your time with DFIL...yes, it's tough as that generation is no longer with us....Jason's folks are both gone and I have just DM and DSM....will say for some reason I'm really missing DD this year!! Not sure if it's just all the uncertainty of life these days or what??? I could always count on him to but things back into perspective and help me see that as "ugly" as things seem, I'm a lucky woman!! I miss him terribly!
Carole...let's just say the fact I finally got my massage make this girl VERY "satisfied"!! It took 4 rescheduled appointments until I finally got to enjoy the long awaited massage and I'm so happy I have another one already scheduled!! Yes, you are like me...we are our own "worst enemies" and we put more pressure on ourselves than anyone else. So many times we think we NEED to do things the way it "always was" and we really don't....if people don't like it, oh well!! I think you have seen that as you try to step back from things people are "stepping up" and moving forward...not the same but still OK!! I know it was hard for me to "let go" of having the Christmas brunch here but then I thought back to the early Christmases when we were married and they weren't the same as when we had both the girls and it came to our house for many, many years.....it was only logical that as Sarah and Josh had kids the "traditions" lived on but at their house....many things will stay the same, just be "tweaked" and it's OK to say NO and let go of things!!
Tis the season Carole for "pop up" showers!! Don't stress over the house...they are coming to see you and Ken...NOT your house!! I promise!
Carole...we have had white appliances for YEARS...we actually opted for the "charcoal" stainless....didn't really like the traditional silver stainless and black was so dark so the charcoal was a compromise and honestly, took some getting used to but I actually love it now!! Thankfully when we changed things, finances were tight and I couldn't change everything so it forced me to just "deal with the mish mash"! LOL!
Gabrielle...3:55 and already 71°....YIKES!! Will be a hot one by the time your finish your long run....glad WA is being sensible and not prematurely call the marathon. Well, even if you aren't totally "off" I guess only doing Zoom meetings, AS LONG AS IT'S NOT MULTIPLE THAT TAKES ALL DAY.....that is OK but you should be able to be totally OFF!
Yes indeed Gabrielle...last night was so much fun to all be together again....spaced WAY far apart but all in the same room laughing, "picking", joking and just enjoying life as "almost normal"!! YAY for a bit of pampering and "normal" for you with the mani/pedi today!! Enjoy!! Yes, my nail folks always wore masks too and were very "hygiene" conscious with the autoclave and sanitizing the foot soak pedicure tubs!!
OK...Jason just got home so time to fire up the grill and get dinner going....IP is full and will turn it one when he puts the chicken on the grill!
Just heard from Sarah and Colton plays at 8:30am so will need to leave here by 7:20am for a little "wiggle room" for any possible traffic! May or may not get back to finish catching up tonight...if not, see you after baseball tomorrow!
