Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful for that. Never woke up once which was good. Going to be another HHH day here. Yesterday I didn't move much at all and didn't make 10,000 steps which is off for me as normally my steps are between 14,000 15,000 daily. Oh well...today is another day. The H&H have always drained me out.
Need to sit and plan my day and do my morning weigh in.
Waving and I'll CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy First Day of Summer (though it doesn't arrive here until late afternoon). Temps are predicted to be around 90 and humid. I have already been out feeding and watering my flowers before it gets too hot. I have a couple of errands to run this morning, so I think I'll do that before it gets any hotter.
Ann ~ Glad you slept the night through. My DH is still waking up, and sometimes goes out to the living room to watch TV. Last night I woke to a "rata-tat-tat" sound, only to find him in his La-Z-Boy and the TV on (thought turned down very, very low). Apparently that sound was just enough to waken me; but I went right back to sleep.
I am going to get myself ready for the day and then go do my errands, then I'll check in when I get back.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue so sorry to hear that DH still isn't sleeping well. That is so annoying for both him and you. I often wake up to the TV when Carl can't sleep...or a game he is playing on his phone. Keep cool and hope you get those errands done before the heat sets in. Happy to say my day is planned and tracked. My mystery weight loss is back on with a few more oz. and I'm happy about that. Also called my carpet cleaning guy and he is 'up and running' and will be here bright and early @ 8:30 on the 30th. Nothing like nice clean fresh smelling carpets Miss LuLa insists on buying dad sirloin strip steaks for Father's Day....so in a bit we'll be off to Hannaford's. Have a great day, all!

I am back and indoors for the day! I went to the gas station and filled up my car (first time since the first week of March LOL) and then went to Big Lots to buy a box of Miracle-Grow. I saw it there the other day and for some inexplicable reason did not buy it. The price was definitely right, and it was there ..... but I had to go back today and get it. Now it is in my garage and it will last me a long time (if the previous one is any example). But it was nice to get out of the house, even for just a few minutes.
After drawing a blank for several hours, I finally came up with an idea for supper tonight. I had to veto (in my own mind) several options because either we just had them or are going to have them soon. But I remembered I had a box of Betty Crocker Scalloped Potatoes in the cupboard. Even though I don't usually resort to 'prepared' food, I have had these and they were good so one day when they were on sale at Meijer, I grabbed a box and stuck them in my cupboard. I also had 8 oz of diced ham in the freezer, so I took it out to thaw and read up on the m/w instructions (to avoid heating up my house today) and brought up a bag of frozen green beans to "go with". I think I'm all set.
Our family has made plans to meet at ......(are you ready?) ...... a local Dairy Queen for Father's Day. I have no idea how this is going to work out, but I'm just "going along with it". The plans were made with my DH, not me, so I haven't offered an opinion. I had planned to make him a steak dinner for Father's Day, but looks like we're having foot-long chili dogs instead. OK by me. I did pull two small tenderloins out of the freezer to start marinating, so if we need them tomorrow evening, they're ready; otherwise we'll have them Monday.
Ann ~ I totally applaud LuLa's thoughts about Father's Day!! She's my kind of gal!!
Since all my stuff is done today, I think I will go read for awhile.

Back from Hannafords with two very luscious looking sirloin strip steaks for tomorrow. We also got some baby bell mushrooms a red and yellow pepper vidalia onion and a zucchini and summer squash as sides. I have lemon pound cake and Carl always has dixie cups in the freezer (he loves his ice cream and I am not a fan) and I also have fresh mixed berries and whipped cream (for him) so he will be a VERY happy camper. I gotta say...LuLa really DOES know how to celebrate LOL. That is a very different Father's Day indeed, but hey, if it works out it will be a fun time I'm sure! We have no Dairy Queen Bars near us. I haven't been to one in years. Enjoy. Smart to take out the steaks ... just in case Sue I have all those ingredients and you betcha I am going to turn that into a FEAST for us at some point during the week. It has me drooling Thanks for the suggestion. I was so thrilled that Hannaford's was not busy. Thought for sure it would be with Father's Day and all. We zipped in and out in record time. Another day of no walking until the sun goes down. Just too darn hot out there for me to deal with. I downloaded a book called The Turn Of The Key by Ruth Ware. Never heard of her, but the cover caught my eye so figured I'd give it a try. So far so good. Going to sit and read some now. Later........

Supper is done, kitchen is cleaned and just now waiting for the sun to set before we walk miss LuLa one last time for the day. Only thing that I forgot to pick up at Hannaford's is my wing sauce that I add to just about everything! I used the last of it tonight on my chicken. Oh well.....the world isn't going to end LOL. Sweet dreams all. See ya in the morning

Hello Gang!
I am on a roll today. I got up and out by 8:00 this morning and met my new neighbor Debbie for a nice, long, 3 mile+ walk. We had gone 3 miles by the time we ended at her house and then I still had about 1/2 mi to get to my house. After I got home and cooled off some, I hosed the remnants of bird's nest and poop off the front porch (they seem to have finally given up) and then mixed up some clorox and Tide and scrubbed off our cast aluminum patio furniture, which was quite a job. It hasn't had a good cleaning in 3 years and had lichen spots growing on it. I now need to get some rustoleum spray paint and give them a good coating while they're still clean, but refused to make a Walmart trip on a Saturday.
I put up all the cleaning supplies then switched to gardening. We have a big patch of ferns growing under the kumquat tree just outside our back door. I thinned them out and made 4 pots of them to put in the green room, some hanging, some not. I tried it a month or so ago with one pot and it is flourishing, so I decided to expand. I also potted 3 air plant "babies" that I have been sprouting in peat pots and watered my outdoor plants. We don't have a hose that will reach the green room, so I hauled water for the plants out there. Besides, I like to use rain water from our water barrels as I think it works better than tap water for plants.
I came in showered and had lunch and then read and played computer games. Then, I got our dinner started and then joined DH in the green room. When he came in to watch the news, I stayed out and finished one book and started another. Last evening, we couldn't find Sadie when it was time for the cats to come in. She is always the one who lags behind, but eventually shows up. DH & I took turns calling her and at midnight gave up. Neither of us slept well and worried about her being eaten by coyotes. She turned up this morning and slept all day long. She finally went out for a while in late afternoon, then slept beside us in the green room. When DH came in to watch the news, he took her with him and now both cats are safely inside for the night. With all the activity and after a night of interrupted sleep, I will probably head to bed early tonight.
Breakfast today was blueberries, yogurt & seeds. Lunch was leftover weinies & lentils and a tomato. Dinner is pork loin and gravy, brown rice, green beans and sliced tomatoes. The scale is inching down, so I am trying to be reasonable with my eating and keep the downward trend going.
I am too tired for personals today. Please forgive! I so enjoy coming here to catch up on your doings. Have a great evening!

Hey all,
I loved reading all your posts. We had a rather uneventful but very relaxing day. It was so hot. We didn’t go to the Cape as we just didn’t feel like a packing up for the quick trip down. DH was so tired and he really need a day of rest. We puttered around and I read a bit and then we took a short ride to a neighboring town. We had sandwiches for dinner- grilled turkey and cheese and I just finished my uke lesson. Lunch was a southwestern slaw type salad with grilled chicken. For breakfast we had our weekend Special of bacon, eggs and WW English muffins. I walked the dogs and did get in my 5000 steps.
Pam, wow, you sure were busy and active. I need to lie down after reading all that!😂
Sue, can’t wait to hear about the DQ celebration. I love DQ ice cream so that’d be fine by me! I hope your DH rests better. Hard when you can’t sleep.
Ann, glad you slept well. I did, too. Your steaks sound yummy!
See y’all tomorrow! Nearly finished my book.

Back from a short walk with Carl and LuLa. Still brutal out there.
Happy to read what Pam and Judy are up too.
I'm exhausted. Going to relax a bit before we pour our Chianti.
Sleep well 💤❤😇
