Good Morning - MOVE IT MONDAY... I best find a way to MOVE today, but MAN am I soooo tired!! What a long day yesterday! I spent a little time in the pool - but mostly I was getting things done, or visiting with my Aunt. She doesn't go to the pool deck any more - so I don't like to leave her by herself all day ♥ It was a long - HOT - but GOOD day here. Next one will be 4th of July! I kind of like celebrating my sister's BD with Kathy's on FD... gives us next week with NO PARTY!! Even if folks come up to swim - it is less "work"...I think? Anyway - enough of that - grateful my kids and sisters and Patti all WANT to be here, whether to "Celebrate" or just come to swim/hang out - so letting go of everything else right now!
Back on track today - never did get my salad put together for today - but there is some made, ready to dish up, so Eh, it will happen... HB Eggs for breakfast - salad with chicken for lunch - watermelon and cottage cheese for snacks...plenty of water and seltzer and tea - back on track and back to tracking! Now for more coffee and settle in for a bit to catch up ♥

Christine - YAY for getting up an at 'em early ~ and fresh donuts for DH!! Oh a friend shared a picture of a beach in Gloucester on Saturday - she was on the boat out in the bay... but from the water, the CROWD at the beach was unnerving! I get it - outside and fresh air - but NO distancing to be seen!! I just don't se myself going to the beach at all this year! With no one in school any longer even weekdays will be crazy busy!
WOO HOO to Linds! Glad her TH background could come in handy for the new job! YAY for the family letting her "practice"bartending too! Disney party sounds like it was a fun time... a little bittersweet I would imagine - but fun all in all ♥
Awww, bet DH is super happy to have Linds "Coming home"! Oops, now to move your office - again!
Oh Man - seriously? They can't even get you a new desk chair?? LOL I guess, pick your battles!??
Yes, perfect (?) weather day here yesterday - kind of HOT actually, but I got in the pool for a bit to cool off... I should have gotten in again after everyone had gone home - but too darned tired! I just went to bed, with the fans blowing! Actually LOL As I was making another trip in the house - cleaning up... made myself realize the steps were good for me... yup, Ken and I cleared everything up as usual! My sister (while in the pool) asked Tracy to pull the ice cream cake, as it said to have it sit for 20 minutes before cutting! So sure enough ~ Tracy pulled it and set a timer for sisters and girls to get out of the pool! DS Pat came is and asked, did you get Mary's cake ready? I said Not yet... working on Kathy's... so she did set to work getting Mary's ready... UGH.... Never gonna change them now!
OH after the Relay night at their house - DS Mary DID SAY, It's a lot of work! I said Ya' Think?? But that was a week ago - so I guess by yesterday they "forgot" how much work it truly is to get a party together!
Oh I do NOT blame Mary AT ALL for retiring! Just a little jealous is all - but I know, she has certainly "earned it"! Even at 65/66 she was going in to the pizza shop at 7 AM to make the dough... and that's a LOT of work - hauling 50# bags of flour around, then hauling that 50# of cough out of the mixer and up to the table... She is having hte Dr sign off on her return to work papers, just in case (down the line) she wants to return as a cashier or front desk help... but for the most part - she never wants to return to work!
I am not getting my hopes up for a relaxing morning at the hotel while Tracy is in surgery! LOL I am taking it one day at a time... just being AWAY will be nice - so not overthinking it. I will take my laptop - just in case - I have a few hours at the hotel... because if ONE person is allowed to "wait" at the medical building - it will be Ken... he'll drive her over and wait - I'll stay at the hotel! FINGERS CROSSED.! LOL
Good for you NOT doing too much "work" yesterday - Saturday sounds very tiring!!
Gabrielle: OH WOW! SO sad to think that woman pushed herself that hard - and collapsed?? Thank goodness she made it back tot he parking lot - and didn't collapse out on the trail! HYDRATE - HYDRATE - HYDRATE... YAY for pedicure... hmmm, oh well, sorry you didn't get the manicure, but YAY For another day of pampering for YOU! I am going to try to call today - when they open - to make an appointment, but I am sure I won't get in in the next 2 days! They will be wicked busy! ON second thought I may just wait a week - to let the crowds calm down a bit... might make for more relaxed time!
Oh YES - Christine - how DO those sonic stakes work for keeping rodents out of the yard???
Thanks Gabrielle - I do enjoy some 1on1 time with my girls... doesn't happen often... and yes, I CAN "enjoy" some exercise... need to learn to enjoy more! LOL Yes we had the "ivory" appliances too - I am leaning towards stainless... again - just not sure my OCD can handle one appliance at a time!
Hey has Max found time to head to OR to get his stuff?? Will he need anything from there to start his classes in August?? If I remember correctly the lease runs out in July right?? Too bad he and Ed couldn't just make the drive up and back together? I am guessing it is too busy on the ranch these days for Ed to get away!
Jo: Absolutely it cannot "hurt" to hear from the diabetic counselor! Get the info and you will figure out how to use it! Yikes, sounds scary that Steve's heart is out of rhythm! Good luck with Dr calls! Sorry the coworker spilled the beans about a possible job shift for you! Might have been better just hearing it from the boss! LOL Our 1on1s have completely been sidetracked - and we are ALL back in the office 2 days a week! We worker-bees are there 5 days, the boss only 2 days... but she COULD start holding conversations again - but she hasn't! Good luck as you take on new responsibilities... hang in there, it may be temporary!
Oh so Em will be going to the lake with you? YAY! Good time for you to get away! Glad your DS is also doing WW - you can lean on each other while away!

Sue: Well, sorry the games were short-lived, but WOO HOO for being home early to putter and get yourself ready for the work week ahead! I am already thinking YAY that 4th of July is on Saturday - so I have Sunday to recuperate before work on Monday the 6th! LOL Today is "difficult" to want to get moving!
Ken is on vacation this week - so my heading to work is even more difficult! Hoping he will mow today - yard is looking TERRIBLE... with his new mower, I am guessing he won't want me to call Jeff to mow the yard! LOL $$$
HA! Well they SAY the hotel is "next door" but it is a car drive to get there!! Like I said, playing it by ear... will decide what's what when we get there!
I'll have to find an appliance store that I can actually SEE the difference in colors I guess... on line is so hard to really SEE, and like I said - I was searching for white, so never saw the extra stainless option! OY VEY so many decisions to make! LOL If it looks "black" I won't want it... never liked the black front stove and dishwasher we had... I think you see less fingerprints because you are 1 adults living with the fridge! LOL
Yup, you will feel bad for the girl that gets let go - but hey, you earned it! No worries about how you may get the job over her... points or not - your seniority alone should make you more suitable to keep on!
Oh I hear ya'... FD is just another day for me too! We do the get together, mostly for a pool day - this year was for BDs, but it was tough... with Mary bringing a FD cake, and Zoë NOT having her Dad... I know, life goes on and it was FD for Tim & Ken, but seriously we could have done without a third cake!
LOL Yes Sue - when we moved in here the stove was olive green, the fridge was brown... that's when we turned to ivory... Glad you got your food prepped for today - I was not so lucky... folks didn't leave here until 8 PM last night and I.Was.Done.! LOL At one point I actually told Ken (very quietly) I just want them to go home!!

Good morning Christine ~ Enjoy your walk before the rains... not much sun here today either... yet? I didn't think we were looking for rain - thought we were still "possible showers"... who knows any more!!
OK Need to get moving - going to be a long day - but will do leftovers for dinner, so can call it an early night - after dishes! Just told Ken NOT to do the dishes... he doesn't do them to my satisfaction - so I'd rather just do them up quick after dinner! Just the big stuff and plastic that doesn't go in the dishwasher...
Anyway - gotta MOVE IT here ♥hugs♥

Good morning! Woke up early today. Had a bad dream/nightmare that is bothering me. Hate it when I have those. Today should be a busy day work wise, catching up from Friday.
It was a nice FD. Steven came over after work and we had dinner together, than the sisters zoom, than watched the new episode of "Yellowstone". Such a good show.
Emilie and I got on the Fafsa website and made sure that was all set. I'm s little nervous that she will be thed only girl in the class. But hopefully college age kids will act more mature than HS age.

Carole, thanks for starting us. Sounds like you had a nice FD/BD celebration. 3 cakes!? Oh my yes sounds like overkill. When we have a Bday celebration the person whose bday it is doesnt help clean up, but the rest of us clean up together no matter whose house it's at. I know yesterday had to be hard , those holidays will be for a while. [][][][]hugs. Glad you got a chance to get in the pool. Nice your DS can retire. One of my sister is retiring in January 2021. She is counting down the days.
Christine, enjoy your walk. Good for you for getting out there. I need to do the same thing.

Morning all...MMS for now!! Got to grab a few extra things from my desk today to bring to the other WH....will stop, clock in, get my temp taken, grab my fan and things and off I go to the other WH.
Will call La Cucina for pick up after work and dinner is done!! It's to be very HHH today so not having to cook is a good thing!!
Will catch up after work!

Afternoon all...got to La Cucina and home before the storms rolled it...nothing much here at home but it sure is rumbling and flashing so someone is getting nailed!! Had a busy day, learned a couple new things and still feel like I'm floundering a bit but Tonya and Gloria assure me I'm doing fine.
Time to catch up...
Carole...thanks for starting us off...I honestly don't move near as much at the other WH as I did at my regular job but it is what it is!! I'll figure it out! Sounds like you had a nice day yesterday and a good plan to have DS's DB with Kathy to give you a weekend off....I'm sure you will "wing it" just fine today with food and be back on track tomorrow!! Nope...I don't see anything changing with your DS's helping with anything....you would think that after "all the work" for the Relay night they would realize how much you and Ken do ALL THE TIME!!
Until you get to the hotel, you won't know who, if anyone can be at the surgi-center with Tracy so will just have to play it ear and "wing it" when you get there! Yes, just getting away will be nice!!
LOL Carole...I know what you mean about the OCD and doing one appliance at a time switching to stainless but for us, it was the budget that gave us no choice.... Jason and I are lucky...we are both off on Friday July 3rd for our holiday....YAY for our long weekend!! Hope Ken got the lawn done today and will tackle a few other chores/tasks tomorrow and Wednesday before you leave for Tracy's surgery!! Oh...I would definitely been DONE by 8:00pm last night!!
I actually took a nap yesterday afternoon for about an hour in the recliner...I just couldn't keep my eyes open so I closed them and nodded off...the FitBit logged it as a really deep sleep so I must have needed it....still was asleep by 10:30pm for the night...that doesn't always happen....sometimes I end up awake until midnight or after!!
Christine...yay for the morning walk before your day starts...with the hot days and the chance for showers at any point...makes sense to get it done early!!
Jo...sorry for the bad dream! Any idea what brought it on??? I can only hope that college aged kids are a bit more mature than HS...I remember the FAFSA days....glad they are over!!
Everyone else must have been busy this morning...waves Jenny, Lisa, Gabrielle, Shelly, Nadine and anyone else I might have missed...I'm beat and want to relax and hit the sack early!!
Sweet dreams all!

Evening all.....been back to work since Thursday and I’ve been busy every day. Saturday after I got off work I ended up helping DH sort cattle. Thought I would have to help them yesterday doctor them and sort off more again but they worked later than expected. Today DH was off and him and DBIL worked them I think. After I got home tonight (worked til after 7) I cooked steak on the grill and baked potato in the instapot. The potatoes were really good. My microwave quite yesterday and I usually cook my baked potatoes in there. I think I like these IP better. I ve done it that way before but seemed better than before.
Storms also blew in pretty hard last night. I moved my car to shelter and you could see the storm heading in blowing the dirt so bad. I had to set in my car for a while before I could get to the house. More storms tonight. Didn’t park car in the barn so I hope it doesn’t hail tonight. Last night ended up just being wind and rain. Well take that back. Just moved my car. Talking about golf ball size hail joe so had to move it to the barn.
Sorry guys no personals. Planning on WO with trainer 3 times this week. Hoping to not Find excuses and just get back to a more consistent everything!!!! I have to learn to focus!!!!
Hope to come back tomorrow
