Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Busy morning ahead. I have an appointment with ENT doctor to finally take care of my ears. They have been so itchy lately. After that I’m getting a haircut. Have no idea what that experience will be like. I’m going back to my pixie style. I was thinking about letting it grow, but I decided the extra maintenance isn’t worth it.
Ruth - No, DB and DSIL don’t have any kids. I always regretted not being able to give my parents grandchildren, but it wasn’t meant to be. Hope you enjoyed a nice quiet evening.
Dottie - hope you had a nice time at the lake.
Expecting some rain today, we could use it. Temps still reaching high 80s, that will change a bit on Wednesday.
Enjoy your day

Appointments done.
ENT visit went well. Very organized. Ears already feel much better.
Haircut is a big shorter than I wanted, but it’s hair and will grow quickly. I do like the style though, suits me more than long. I’m glad he has such a small shop, felt comfortable. Chatted a lot.
Went to a bakery near his shop and picked up a small loaf of rye. I wanted to get a pastry, but I managed to leave there with just the bread. Small victory, they all add up.
See ya tomorrow

Joyce, nice to hear that you like your new haircut even though shorter than you wanted. It will grow. I have seen/read about some good financing deals on cars so I’m sure that is helping with the sales. Did the ENT say why your ears were itchy? Glad to hear that the visit helped.
Ruth, let us know how Stan likes his Ninja Foodie. I use my instant pot for a few things but not a lot. I do like it for the bone broth-so easy. Hope you can continue to adjust to the CPAP and that you can get better sleep.
It was a nice/warm weekend at the lake. The kids were in the water or using the kayaks or fishing almost the whole time. They were really tired when they headed home last night. One of the nicest things was they only got into 2 little spats (the way siblings can often do). Plus they really enjoyed seeing DS#2, he did a lot of fishing and kayaking with them also. We got home late morning and trying to get caught up on L. I think I might need a nap this afternoon, didn’t sleep well last night.

Good afternoon all. Joy, that is the nice thing about hair, it will grow back. Glad you like the new do! You should send Dottie and I a picture of your new haircut. Have you heard back from your electrician yet? Do you have problems with wax in your ears too? Apparently that can be hereditary as Stan’s DF had it; Stan has it; some of our kids have it and some of the DGDs have it. Not sure it makes them itch, but they sure have issues with it.
Dottie sounds like you had a great weekend at the lake. So nice when they can be in/on the water and enjoying it. Makes all the work of having a 2nd place worth it. Bet they really enjoyed their uncle time. Our kids sure do. Do you sleep as well at the lake as you do at home, or not?
We had a good visit with DS/DIL/Mara yesterday. Then got to chat with older DD on the phone. And Stan got his 3 mi run in yesterday so he enjoyed that. Tonight we are picking up our Italian dinner and will enjoy that. And on the way there we will pick up some spices I ordered at Penzey’s down in St. Paul and then he will get the other groceries he needs and can use his Ninja Foodie for the first time tomorrow night. Going to make a chicken & broccoli dish with lots of spice in it. A Moroccan spice that is made up of a bunch of other common spices. Sounds good anyway!
I have laundry going and hope to get some cleaning done today. Need to pick up toys. Had some picked up and then she was here yesterday and played with some. They left right after she got up from her nap so didn’t get them put away then. I need to dust and vacuum. I’m thinking of bringing back the cleaning gal. I’m still kind of leery of having a stranger in the house and touching things, but the dust is getting to me and I can only take care of so much of it and then I have to quit. But I think some of the dust is bothering my allergies too. And Stan just about refuses to dust!
Oh yeah - my Fitbit Versa quit a few days ago. We could not get it to charge. Tried 2 different chargers on 2 different outlets and it would not charge. Then today Stan asked me a question about it; so to humor him we plugged it in again and the dang thing charged. But not before I have ordered a new one of course. This one has been having issues; so I’ll wear it until the new one comes and then just save it as a backup. They use the same bands so that I won’t have to buy new ones.
Not a lot else going on. Have a good day all.
