Nice coneflowers, Karen. Love the color.
I am having trouble with my left eye. Blood shot. Dry. Irritated. Nodule. I went to PCP this morning thinking it was an allergy issue but, no. It is not pink eye. He thinks it is episcleritis, but he cannot prescribe the steroid eye drops so I have to see the ophthalmologist tomorrow morning. The good news is my BP is 120 over 68. Healthy food, exercise and minimal salt is working.
I haven’t been on the screens too much all weekend and I am not caught up on posts. I hope all is well in Chicksterland. Have a great Monday.

Karen, thanks for the start. Pretty flowers!
Chele, oh no on the irritated eye. I'm surprised the PCP couldn't prescribe the steroid drops, but that's good that you can get in with the eye doctor tomorrow. Do you have any OTC moisturizing eye drops? That might help with the dryness in the meantime. That's good news on the BP.
I spent a frustrating hour trying to get my cell phone added to my CVS account so I can get a prescription delivered. When I enter it on their website, an error comes up saying an error occurred and to call a 1-888 number. The first time, it went dead when they tried to transfer me. The 2nd time, I got transferred 3 times with much waiting in between only to be told that they can only unenroll me. To enroll, they said I have to call the pharmacy! They need to change that error message, not to mention the hideous music they had playing while I was on hold. My CVS is right next to a huge student apartment complex in the center of our current outbreak, so there's no way I'm setting foot in there right now.
Another hot day here. I hope we get some of the rain they were forecasting. Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Kathy, it’s a PITA to get anything changed once it is in someone’s system. I had to go into CVS to get my landline deleted and cell number added, but that was pre-COVID. I don't blame you for not wanting to go in.
Linda, I am glad you like the lemon blueberry ricotta cake. It is a keeper of a recipe. Delicious and easy to make.

Chele, the crazy thing is I've been enrolled for years, but the woman just kept repeating that they couldn't enroll me. At least they were saying I could call the pharmacy, but I don't have a lot of confidence it that working either. I was going to try and download their app first and see if that will work. I've never bothered since it was easy to just go on the website and put in a refill. Hope your eye has improved some as the day goes on.

Kathy, that is amazing about the median age for postive tests there is 35 with it being the largest population of seniors in the entire country. Just shows who's taking it seriously. I heard that the comedian at a crowded comedy club in Nashville tested positive, so our numbers wlll keep going up. What a hassle with CVS! I hope they get it together so your Rx can be delivered. I don't blame you for not want to step foot in that part of town. I hope you got some rain. We got hammered about an hour ago. I was out on the deck doing my nails and it was just clouding up but otherwise fine. Before I got all 10 digits filed and smoothed, we had thunder and major winds. We weren't in the house for more than a couple of minutes before we got torrential rains and 30 mph winds. I haven't checked the rain gauge to see how much we got, but I may not even have to water blueberries (shallow root system) until Wednesday. Good luck at PT today, Becky. Hope the pain is less today. I know what you mean about picking cucumbers every day or they get too large. I had several last year that were well hidden and got HUGE before I even knew they were there. Some were not edible. They will be easier to keep track of in the container garden. Linda, I hope the grocery trip goes well. I'll be interested to see how many people besides you are wearing masks. Gee, only going to be 111 for mid week??? That puzzle sounds bizarre. The cake sounds incredible!! Was it as good as it sounds? OH NOOOO! on the eye, Chele! Good that you could get into the PCP so quickly and even better that you'll be able to see ophthmalogist in the a.m. Congrats on the stellar BP. Yes, eating well and exercising does pay off. Screen time probably isn't comfortable right now, so I hope you'll get good drugs tomorrow so you can get back to normal. The coneflower variety is Cheyenne Spirit, which is my favorite. It didn't bloom at all last year so I was thrilled that it came back. I even submitted some photos of it for the cover of the next MG newsletter. We just had a female house finch waiting for Dale to take the feeder back out after the storm. She said on the railing about 6 inches from him until he hung it up and then jumped on it the minute it was on the hook. I think some of them are getting a bit too tame. Liz, how was the weekend? Have a good night at work, Denise. How are your veggies doing? Are your temps still hot? How often do you do chair yoga? Today was cleaning day while Dale went to the grocery store. Three loads of laundry. An hour of Mother Earth News Fair online workshops. Started out the morning with an 800+ yard swim in about 78 degree water, which felt great. Hope everyone has a good week.

Just a quick check-in as I've been busy all day. I had to reschedule PT because our Dish satellite has been messing up since before Mothers Day.I didn't think we would have time to buy groceries after PT and get home by the time they said he was coming. It turned out he ran late so I could have kept my appointment. It's nothing he can do much about.Thick branches are over the satellite and he cut off as much as he could but it's as good as it's going to get until we can find someone with a longer saw.
Chele I hope you get something for your eye tomorrow.

Sounds like technology bad day here!
Cheke, sure hope that is a simple fix. I am on Restasis for dry eye..not sure it helps a lot and if insurance does not cover it, $430 a month! Trick is to recap the little Individual droppers and use them for two or three days instead of once!
Yes, I finished it...run away lawn mower, parachute landing on birdbath, coffee flung into air...good grief.
Got up third day of headache, but We did costco and grocery store...everybody in masks, Carts wiped with disinfectant, etc, very few people in either place as we went early. so we have lots of fruit and veggies and laundry stuff and tp. Tonight was Costco rotisserie chicken...lovely large one for $5. Cannot beat that. Trouble with both going...we now have a dozen bagels and two tubs of cream cheese flavors!
