I'm IN.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
Today is my late mother's natal day. She'd be 110 years old. On her deathbed she told me NOT to be like her. I am more like her than either of us could have imagined... but I'd like to think I kept mostly the "best" bits. The photo is from my christening in Summer 1952. Dad, Eugene. Mom, Lottie. Don't know the priest's or church's name. That's an investigation for another day.
Today Toots & I are "at home" although I brought an overflowing postal bin from DBigBro's to sort and cull for his final inspection and disposition (and hopefully lots of shredding). Work in progress; still more to do there but much improved.
Coffee... βββ... tastes even better when it's not gulp-and-run...
πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ

Muggy Monday. That is what I called today. I'm trying to walk early but when it's almost 80 degrees at 6 a.m., it's hard to get enthused. I got 2 miles done though and now I'm waiting for DH to wake up so we can start on mowing and edging the yard. While the rain was nice last week, we now have a jungle growing. MJ, glad you're home from your DBIL's abode. Hopefully, there are no surprises in the mail piles. pbnj welcome back!

Happy Monday!
It's been a CRAZY week (it seems it's always something with me)! I ended up heading up to my son's house in WI to dog sit last week because his FIL got the call for his double lung transplant! It happened late Thursday night! Surgery was over about 2 a.m. and so far so good. He was awake by Saturday and able to breath and talk! He did have a minor setback late Saturday/early Sunday and they had to shock his heart and he developed some fluid in his lungs. It is all part of the process of his body adjusting to the new (foreign) lungs. He is the same age as me (47). So please send all the positive energy and prayers his way! He's a fighter!
As for the dog sitting, my son's dog is a HANDFUL! She is great as long as she doesn't see any other dogs or she freaks out! Not really aggressive, but not scared. She just jumps and pulls. I learned where all the dogs were and didn't venture too far from our walking route! I managed to get between 17,000 and 20,000 steps a day. She got 4-5 walks a day and then I would go do 5 miles (they have a GREAT fitness trail in town). The only bad thing was WI is a mess with the COVID-19 stuff. They have no mask requirements and the county my son lives in is a hot spot. So, I really didn't go anywhere (but my walks). I picked up groceries from Wal-Mart and had to run into Petco but that was it. For 5 days! LOL So now I will self-quarantine for 14 days to be on the safe side!
On positive note, with all the walking, I FINALLY broke my stall in my weight loss! I lost 3 lbs this past week and FINALLY got to my 15 lbs lost (well, 17 lbs, but whose counting)! I AM SO HAPPY!
I hope this week is less exciting!
I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

I'm in. Sweet pic MJ.
We got back late today from a weekend getaway to the boat. I packed groceries for the galley and except for a couple of long walks, I was completely content just to stay onboard. The change of scenery was really welcome and exactly what I needed. LOL now I'm running around trying to catch up on laundry and chores that didn't get done while we were gone.
Very happy news Neen. Great job on your weight loss!
