Well, June just flew by...
The eye still has a nodule so I will be on oral steroids along with the eye drops. If this doesn’t work there will be tests coming my way for an undiagnosed underlying condition such as rosacea or rheumatoid arthritis. I told Iggy we’d better have some raw veggies cut up because my appetite soars on steroids.
Karen, score in your TP a d paper towels. We have had plenty of those but tissues and wipes have been scarce. I found the King Arthur bread flour at Meijer. I bought 10 lbs just in case. Has the electrician been by to fix the garage door issue?
Denise, what have you been up to before work today?
Kathy, I am trying to blow the hot air back your way. I have been singing Kool and the Gang “Oh, it's too hot (Too hot) Too hot, lady (Too hot) Gotta run for shelter Gotta run for shade” I hope you don’t run into the bear family.
Liz, back to the grind in this heat! Ugh! I hope you and Gary enjoy the grill. Iggy has been looking at them in line. We need a new one. Ours is rusting out.
Becky, I am glad PT was better yesterday. A honey rock melon is an heirloom melon like a cantaloupe but it has ridges on the outside and is sweeter. A 9 hour operation! I hope the surgeon got it all and she is on the road to recovery.
Linda, here’s the craziness in our county. Everyone has cancelled the 4th of July celebrations except for the suburb we live next to. We are right inside the borderline of the city and pay school taxes to the suburb and have the zip code of the suburb. Anyway, the suburb is still having their 4th of July parade and fireworks even though our zip code is one of the ones with increasing cases of the virus. Bet they won’t wear masks! We are thinking of doing our shopping south of town where they are wearing masks.

Wow, Chele, hope those meds work soon. Yeah, I would be shifting to mask territory too. Parts of AZ, especially the areas where Timothy McVey (OK bomber )and other nuts came from are , as usual, defying any gov. Requirements. Fortunately northern areas.
i actually saw small hand sanitizersin basket at checkout today! I always fight depression when hot weather keeps me inside and I get less exercise and art and museum take vacations. This year has been worse and I have been indulging in 3 c's: carbs, chocolate and cheese. The clothing had become looser and still seems same although scale is up. Got to get it together. So got coffee, got dressed, took advantage of a strange cool down (still only 92 at noon) to give Micki a good walk to his favorite place I have been avoiding because of pit bull running loose attacking dogs on walks. Police found owner and dealt with it yesterday.
Then I went to Sprouts on the corner for dairy, cold cuts, bread and produce. Nice to see all masks. Got scared in parking lot where a very scruffy bearded homeless guy with no mask was asking for money. I held up my hands ward off fashion when he got within 15 feet and he went off to someone else. I thought about putting money down with a rock and letting him get it, but he started walking up and down the lot talking louder and louder to himself...quite crazy. I got the stuff into the car and escaped.
did a lot of pruning yesterday before garbage pickup tomorrow and still need to do Miracle Gro.

Becky, the Vibe Plate has many benefits. It can increase circulation, helps with balance and flexibility, helps joints, and can strengthen bones. It supposedly helps some people lose weight, but I've never experienced that particular benefit. It's a bit costly, but it has a lifetime warranty. Are you managing to keep ahead of the soreness today? Good luck at PT tomorrow.
Love the photo from yesterday, Linda. Reminds me of the old SNL Land Shark skits. Did you buy any of the little hand sanitizers? I'll bet they were at least double the pre-covid price. Oh, NO on the 3 Cs! Good that the clothing is looser, even if the scale isn't reflecting a loss. I don't think I would have let that bearded guy get anywhere close either. I might have been tempted to call 9-1-1 after he started loudly talking to himself. I wish we had Sprouts here. There are none at all in East TN. I don't know about my entire neighborhood getting zucchini because some critter is stealing mine before it's large enough to pick. There may not even be any for me.
Kathy, I guess the amout of undisturbed habitat on the mountain side of the highway gives the bears enough room to roam. However, that has been getting more crowded because there are more bears. They have even had bears spotted on the UT campus. How's the dust situation? Are you getting rain like we are?
Sorry about the added steriods, Chele, but I hope it will clear things up so you don't have to endure testing. Good time of the year to be able to get a great variety of fresh veggies. I have rosacea, but it just breaks out my nose, which tends to be red quite frequently. One of my fellow MGs who is about a month older than I was just diagnosed with RA earlier this year, but it usually shows up earlier in life. MIL had it from her 40s. Congrats on the KA flour. Dale was only able to find Pillsbury this week. The electrician came about 1:15 and was able to fix the switch and also replaced a ballast above my car that went out about a month ago.
Liz, what kind of grill did you get? We didn't replace ours when we moved and have a little one but it doesn't work very well. We talked about getting a gas grill because we had the hookup installed when we built the house so we can run it off the LP we use for the house. Covid cases are up almost 1300 cases since yesterday and our cases are rising faster than Knox County's--we have about 2/3 the number of cases despite having about 1/4 the population. Unfortunately, nobody seems to be doing much to mitigate.
Are you able to pick any produce from your garden yet, Denise? I have some peppers that are just about ready. Tomatoes are all still green. I have tons of blossoms on the cucumbers, but no fruit yet.
I had a Zoom meeting about the MG video this afternoon and have spent part of the day pulling together things for the newsletter, with tomorrow being the deadline. I have a little more energy than I did yesterday and did a 600+ yard swim this morning in very comfortable water. We are expecting storms any time, but they had some really bad ones in Knoxville last night that caused flash floods, washing out roads and stranding people in cars that needed rescued. They got over 2 inches of rain in a fairly short period. Fortunately, it dove south of us. We may not be so lucky this afternoon. More rain expected tomorrow. At least I'm not having to water plants right now.

Chele, sorry you're still having eye problems and hope the additional meds help. I didn't know they could test for rosacea. I have it and it has affected my eyes at times, but not with the same issue you're having. The dust is finally starting to clear a bit here, so stop blowing that hot air our way! I've forgotten if you have Sirius radio or not, but U2 is debuting their new channel tomorrow. I'm glad the deal I got included streaming since I'm not driving the car that much.
No signs of the bear family today. They usually disappear on trash day, maybe since they're full after a night of raiding the bins. They probably don't like the noise of the garbage trucks either. It might be worth shopping in the other zip code. I've thought about that too since the one to the east of me has much fewer cases probably since they're further away from the students. Karen, I've heard some thunder in the distance, but no real rain yet. I'm starting to see more sky through the dust, so I think it's clearing out. There was a launch today, but I couldn't see a thing off to the east. We got a good rumble from it though. The news had a picture of a bear wandering around UCF a couple of years ago. Can't say I'm sorry to see June go and I hope July is better for all of us. Linda, I know about those 3 c's. I don't have any chocolate in the house right now which is about the only way I stay away from it! That's scary on the homeless guy, especially since he didn't have a mask. Glad he walked on from where you were. Waving to everyone. Have a good evening.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I'm sorry the nodule is still there and you had to start on steroids.I think everyone's appetite soars on steroids.PT was good yesterday but I think my back became unaligned today if that is even a word.Kenneth talked to her husband last night and she had just gotten out of surgery and into ICU so they told him to go back to the motel they were staying at.
Linda Another busy day I see.I saw that picture on Facebook the other day.
Karen I have been a little sore today but not the knee itself. They mostly had me do seated exercises and manipulated trigger points yesterday and told me not to do the standing ones today.Texas numbers are going through the roof.
Even though our county wouldn't mandate a face covering law HEB has decided to mandate face masks starting tomorrow for all the places not currently under a face mask order. The bar owners protested at the state capitol today and some are urging them to open up tomorrow despite the executive order. If they do all their licenses will be yanked.

One hospital is in critical care mode. That means five kinds of people get priority above age and having a disease.if you are less likely to survive, other people get treated and too bad...not enough to go around.
