Good morning and welcome to the last day of June! Where DID this month go? ? I slept very well last night...woke up a tad on the achy side, but nothing that an Ibuprofen won't cure.
Today I shall concentrate on walking more. I've been lax in that department the past 2 days.
Humid out there right now...no sun, so I'm sure it will feel a tad cooler.

Took a short walk earlier. It's sticky and humid out there. I will go again later on if it's not misting. More than likely get more steps house walking today. There are a few things that I need to get both at Walmart and Hannaford's but not sure if we will go today or later in the week. Nothing that I can't live without right now. All planned for the day...just need to track it. It feel SO GOOD to have no agenda........I'm lovin' that

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Last day of June??? Say it isn't so!! DH went and used his Kroger fuel points from last month yesterday and was very pleased at how much he saved! It's like a game to him, and thankfully one that rewards him at the same time.
We found that there is not enough sunshine on our front porch for the new petunia pot to thrive, so I got out another small folding table and set it up on the patio and moved the new pot. The "old" one is doing much better with more sun (even after only a couple of days). We especially enjoy the flowers on the patio, because when we sit at our table next to the door wall we have a full view of them. The patio gets an abundance of sunshine for hours a day, so everything grows well there. Our front porch has limited sun, and as the trees have grown and filled in along the tree line, there is less and less sun both morning and evening. We used to grow New Guinea Impatiens there and they always did well. DH is off to look for some today.
We have had our breakfast of scrambled Egg-Beaters with LF cheese, a mixed fresh fruit bowl, and one slice of toast (Dave's Killer for me). That should hold me for a good long time. I am planning to go to Meijer this morning to pick up a Rx for DH and just a few things that I need, then back home. I found a new book that looks good on my Kindle, so I will start that this afternoon. Tonight will be grilled salmon atop a big tossed salad with Bolthouse dressing.
BBL. Make a great day!!

LOL Sue....with us it's the points we earn monthly at Hannaford's.....Today is the last day to earn them...it's quarterly with that market and we are up to 17.40 which we will gladly redeem in July. It comes right off our first purchase for the month which is nice. They also send us coupons via our phone some freebies and others with an amount off. I love when a company 'gives back' like that.
Happy that you and DH found a better place for the plants to prosper. I have always admired people with green thumbs. I never had agarden and never really took an interest n doing so, but always love seeing and appreciating the fruits of their labor.
Your meals sound great. Hope you find all you need at Meijer. Enjoy that book. I also started a new one...it's the 4th in a series that I began reading and it just became available late yesterday. A light fluffy one by Sheila Roberts called Beachside beginnings.....
Took walk #2 and now we are going to enjoy another cup of coffee.

Hi Ann ~ I am back from the grocery store with everything I went for (plus some). When I got home, the first thing I saw was DH's truck backed in. He had been to Kroger shopping, and found many treasures (our favorite cheese balls and Kit Kat mini bars among them). We have a basket on the counter with candy treats in it, and it was getting low. I snagged a bag of snack size Kit Kat and he grabbed two mini (double) ones, so now we have LOTS!! We got a good laugh out of that! Doesn't matter, they keep forever and will last us a long, long time. We had some Laughing Cow Dippers for lunch with some Michigan cherries. Just perfect!
DH did bring home a New Guinea Impatiens plant for the front porch. I asked him jokingly when I saw all the groceries "what about my flower?" and he said "on the porch". Wow!! The petunias on the patio are already perking up visibly from the strong dose of sunshine. Oh, I am in no way a gardener. DH enjoys puttering around with it, and I don't mind getting out the supplies, and helping plant, then I take over watering and feeding. So I guess it is a team effort. But we do enjoy the fruits of our minimal effort. Our patio looks really colorful - and they are all flowers that bloom until it gets cold - including the one on the front porch. So we will have weeks of enjoyment from them.
I still have some more groceries to put away downstairs and then I am going to sit down and relax for a bit. I'll check back in later.....

I had to LOL at your kit kat mini bars as last time Carl and I were at the Dollar Tree we separated he with his hand held cart and me with mine and we both had 2 bags of them LOL......We keep ours in our 'treat drawer' in the kitchen, and when the mood hits, we will enjoy one. I don't have them every day so it's all good. I also like the fun size snickers as well.
So nice that you and DH work together to enjoy the flowers. IT makes it more special that way.
Happy you were able to get all you needed.
In going over my list, we decided to wait till later in the week before we shop. Nothing is really pressing, and after the two days of back to back household stuff, we just want to relax today.
Right now Carl is busy making homemade bread. I can hear the mixer whirling away. He makes 2 loaves at a time and this time he will gift our neighbors Brian and Jean a loaf when it's done. We often share back and forth like that.
I meant to ask you what book you downloaded from kindle unlimited. It may be something that I will add to my ever growing list LOL.
I just finished my FF Greek yogurt with blueberries and a splash of lemon juice topped with fiber one original. I felt like something sweet and cold and that fit the bill.
I did manage to get in a 3 mile walk. Happy about that. Hopefully I'll add to it as the day goes on.
Now I'm going to read.

Ann ~ I really had to LOL about you two and the Kit Kat snacks. Guess great minds really DO think alike! They are a handy way to keep a sweet treat that can't do us any harm. Things we've learned along the way, eh?? Your yogurt sounded good ..... I bought some Kozy Shack Simply Well Rice Pudding today. That is another favorite of mine with LF and NSA and cold and sweet - plus I stir in some cinnamon and top with one small dollop of whipped cream. YUM!!
The book I opened yesterday is called "What She Inherits" by Diane V. Mulligan which is touted to be "Short Listed Best Indie Book 2017". It is a South Carolina beach town novel with some mystery to it.
I got everything put away and now I need to go sit and put up my feet. No walking for me today as it is extremely HOT and I'm done for the day. Did I mention? DH will make his famous green salad tonight, and I will grill a salmon filet and split it between our two salads. Done!

Too funny as I also downloaded What She Inherits...haven't started it yet as I'm reading the other one from the library. I've tried their tapioca pudding, but not the rice. That's going on my 'list' I top lots of things with cinnamon. I mix it with the Splenda Naturals with Stevia. That is one that doesn't bother my tummy. I really wish I liked fish.....I will eat tuna in a can packed in water and all other fish I enjoy deep fried. Kind of defeats the purpose LOL...Luckily we only go for a 'fish fry' once in a blue. If Carl had his way, he'd be there every night....He likes all type of fish cooked any way. I defrosted Krakus ham and we are having ham and cheese sandwiches with lettuce and tomato. For a side I have air fries and the rest of the coleslaw. Quick and easy. We are still just vegging out from yesterday, so want something easy. Waving to Pam and Judy....... Right now it's thundering and misting out. Happy that we got our walks in while it was dry. First two it was nice...third walk it was far too hot so it was cut very short! Later.

Hi! It is hot as Hades her today, 91, with a "feels like" of 102. It's actually a little cooler than yesterday which felt like 106 because of the extremely high humidity. Debbie and I decided to walk a 8:00 this morning and I still had to get a fresh shirt and bra when I finished. My Garmin showed 3 miles. After I got cleaned up, I ran errands in town. Shopped at Walmart and found most everything I wanted (except Lysol & wipes, of course). I want another sturdy shepherd's hook to hang my biggest airplane plant, but there was not to be had at Walmart, Tractor Supply or another gardening store I tried. I was also looking for a stand-alone garden hose rack, but couldn't find that either. Breakfast was yogurt and the rest of the fresh pinneapple. Lunch was a fried bologna sandwich and tomato, cucumber and onion salad. Dinner will be meatloaf, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and the very last of the sweet corn. I had a nice long chat with DD3 and the DGDs this afternoon. Now, it's green room time and then I will have supper to cook. Today has really flown by! BBL

Pam my hat goes out to you walking in that heat! 3 miles is awesome. I hear you on having to 'change' when you come in from a walk. I do the same at times...I just don't like that 'clammy feeling' LOL.
Sorry you were not able to score all you wanted to while shopping today. We are still 'putting it off'....maybe Thursday or Friday we'll bite the bullet and git R done.
Your meals sound delish.
Nice that you got to cat with DD3 and DGD. My friend from Canada and I have been playing a game of telephone tag all week. Maybe tomorrow we'll get lucky.
Going to play a game or two on my phone and relax.
Waving to Judy.....
Sweet dreams all!

Guess I'll have to check out What She Inherits. It sounds popular! DH told me this morning that he has noticed our gray tabby, Sadie, sneezing a lot. He pointed out that she was still in our bed sound asleep, when she is usually out the door at first daylight and hard to coax in at night. I googled sneezing in cats and learned they can catch colds, just as we do. It said to monitor eating and drinking and get them to the vet if they stop, as they can only last a couple days. Much to our relief, she seems more active this afternoon. She has eaten and had water several times, gone outside and hunted down a gecko, so I'm thinking she will be okay. I had to smile at the Kit Kats making their way into so many grocery carts, lol. I am partial to Lindor truffles and Ghiradelli squares, preferably with dark chocolate. I enjoy at least one every night. A day without chocolate is like a day without sunshine. Ann - I like your way of taking multiple walks per day to get those steps in. I know it is better to keep moving throughout the day than to take one walk and then sit all day. I try to keep that in mind and get moving when the Garmin tells me I've been sitting too long. I am also picky about fish. I love fried freshwater sac-a-lait (crappie, I think you Yanks call it) and bream, but don't get to have it often now, as we don't fish much. Catfish is okay, especially if sliced very thin and fried crisp and I like baked or grilled salmon, speckled trout or redfish/red snapper. I really don't know much about haddock, cod, sole, halibut, etc. as they are not as available here. I eat canned salmon or tuna occasionally as tuna salad or salmon croquettes. I don't really care for baked or grilled tuna, but I can eat it, if necessary. Sue - I am learning that putting plants where they get the sun or shade they love makes a big difference. I planted coleus in my front flowerbed in front of the hostas and they quickly let me know they were not happy there. In the green room, where they only get a little morning sun, they're thriving. Like you, I am amazed that another month is gone--3 1/2 months of this crazy life we're living. We're blessed that we're still here, healthy and pretty much happy. FYI - Pentas seem to do well in full sun. I have a pot of red ones that are thriving. Judy - Waving!
