Good morning! diva49, glad the carpet cleaning is completed and I'm sure the carpet looks much better! Hope you can enjoy a little down time now. I'm going to my local computer store to talk about my wonky printer. I hope they can diagnose the issue I'm having. If not, I'll be shopping for a new printer. I understand computers, printers and especially printer ink are in very short supply because of the virus. (home schoolers are buying them a lot) I'm IN. Hope you all have a bright day!

I'm in, planned and tracked. We are reopening the aquarium, arcades and ride park today. Combined with the weather forecast for the next few days, I expect it will be a zoo despite restrictions.

Update on my printer: it was essentially dead. I have a HP 8600 that I bought in 2014. I was getting a vertical streak on the left side of all printed sheets. I went through the testing: cleaning the print heads and aligning the print head. I kept getting an error message about the aligning. Dr. Google and the forums there show it is a problem for HP printers without much I could do to fix it. My computer store confirmed that the only fix was to purchase a new print head which HP no longer makes (?!!!) But, Roy, who works at the store, pulled out another print head that he had been saving from another printer that was brought in for a different repair. He and I went back into their shop, he substituted the print head and voila! My printer was fixed! The ink cartridges for this HP are attached to a plastic holder where the print head is located. Roy said this printer was a good one to keep because he doesn't like the newer HP printers. For example, I've been using substitute ink cartridges instead of the HP ones because they are half the price. But, HP now produces printers that will ONLY use HP cartridges. More importantly, printers and ink are in short supply because of Covid so plan ahead and buy what you might need to have. Roy is hoping they get more equipment in the future and I'm hoping this fix for my printer allows it to work a little longer. Oh yes, and when I asked Roy what I owed him for the different print head, he said, "nothing, I'm glad I found someone who could use it." Isn't that nice!

Good noon! I'm in. linda72 , best of luck with your printer fix. We had to buy a new one two weeks ago Some kids down the street from us, set off those M80 type fireworks again last night. They sound just like an explosion and sent the cats diving for cover. From out of the blue, they make me jump but, the animals were truly traumatized. I can put up with the typical fireworks fare of screaming whistles and the crackling pops but, those other ones are really miserable. I can hardly believe it's July already. I'm pre-tracked for once with grilled chicken for dinner. Enjoy the day!
ETA: linda72 glad you got it fixed - was cross-posting

Happy Thursday! I'm ready for a 3 day weekend, even if I'm not going anywhere! diva49, I will be cleaning my living room carpet tomorrow! Good times! linda72, I had to buy a new printer the other day! The one we have still works, but it's from 2006 and I can't down load the drivers (the no longer exist) for it to work with my laptop! I just bought a cheap $40 one for now! AND like you said, there was NO extra ink cartridges in the store! Heck, there aren't even any on Amazon!! good thing I don't print a lot. doordie50, I'm glad I live out in the corn fields and don't have to deal with people letting off fireworks! Nothing much happening today. I got my 7 mile walk in this morning! I thought I was going to die! It wasn't too hot, but they black-topped one of the roads I walk and DANG! It added about 40 degrees to it! UGH! I had to slow my pace! BUT I trudged through and made it! I'm really glad I didn't take the dog with me! No big plans for the weekend. Just plan to hang around home and get some housework done! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!
