Linda - Despite the problems, I'd rather be here.
I'm in, mostly planned and still working on dinner. Went early to get the 3 days only sales items. When you live in a summer resort, you won't want to shop on weekends unless you absolutely have to.

Happy Independence Day Friends! *waves*
We're staying close to home and out of trouble. Would've loved to have stayed down on the boat but, it's a mob scene there this weekend. I'm happy to grill burgers out back but, kinda nervous about the neighborhood fireworks later and our furbabies. The poor little guys are just terrified by them. I spent some really nice time today in the garden before it got too hot.

all the usual 4th of july celebrations that the cities put on are cancelled. and although fireworks are illegal in CA i'm sure some people will be using the contraband they managed to get a hold of.
i miss my friends but other than that, not celebrating anything today. happy to have my health and my family and friends are safe but just generally having the blues about the state of things.

Home from mom’s. They have redone their back yard and invited us over for grilled chicken and veggies! Delicious dinner and their back yard is wonderful.
It was a delightful afternoon.
