Carole...I wish I could send the dryer weather your way and just one of these "scattered" T-storms would dump a good bit of rain on us....things are continuing to go around us and we really need a good soaking. Next 10 days is 90° or higher and little or no chance of much in the way of rain. Bummer your night swim got ruined....maybe tonight??? I do hope you can soon plan Matt's service...it's time and maybe if it's all outside it could work??? I hope you and Nancy can managed to find a little bit of time to get together for lunch when you are off!! I know what you mean about not getting your hopes up but I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!
LOVE the plan to take a couple Monday's in August so maybe you and Ken can get that weekend away.....if he plans far enough ahead, he should be able to manage some vacation time then!! Tell him to the check the vacation calendar and get the "wheels in motion"!!!
Jo....sorry for the early "dog alarm"....glad you were in bed early enough that it wasn't a super short night!! How nice to have the produce boxes ...I used to enjoy that when we had that delivered to work...it didn't last long but it was nice to get the fresh produce weekly, especially before our garden got in full swing!! So sorry for you DM's fall and being in pain. How hard it must be for her with her dementia being brought to the hospital and then not letting your DS go with her....Thank heavens nothing is broken and DS did get to spend a little time with her bringing her back to Whitetail...I'm sure it was hard for DS when your mum didn't recognize her!! Hugs to you and the rest of the family....dementia is hard enough to deal with but add the constraints COVID adds to the situation is really hard!!
Carole...sorry the water temp is chilly again...hopefully you will get some nice hot days to warm it up again!! So glad you had a nice quiet evening with Tim's family, Zoe and the 3 of you. I'm sure it was a nice surprise and much appreciate gift from Grandma Hall....always nice to have that "extra" to be able to do those little things around the house that have had to wait for now!! Hope you have a great day today!! Yes, I agree that your DS should have talked to parents or you & Ken before announcing to Eden she can stay late....that could be one very sad 6 year old if mommy and daddy say it's time to go??? But "not your problem"!!!
Oh no....as you know now, Kellen is fine. He is actually with Josh at the tournament for the weekend. Since Josh only had Colton Thursday and Friday, he thought it would be fun to take Kellen along so they had just some Kellen and Daddy time last night, today and tomorrow.....they are having a great time!! If Kellen was home, we would have had both of them here!
Jason did call a bit ago and said that when he unlocked the door to the house and went in with Jackson all Sarah said was "I'm not in the mood"....Jason said "fine" and just walked outside!! I'm sure she is a bit "hung over" today and feels like crap!!
OK...need to tackle the kitchen...kind of left it a mess when I made the salad yesterday and out the door we went!! Need some lunch too...my waffle didn't last long, it was only the 'baby" one that wasn't even a full waffle so a bit hungry now!!
Back later....have a safe, happy 4th all!!
