Yesterday's plan for a Not Much Day <hahaha> vanished when Son#1 initiated the move of the remainder of a full bedroom suite from DBigSis' house to his garage. But we did get home in time to watch most of NASCAR Xfinity from Indianapolis.
NASCAR Cup series will run this afternoon. We're not telling our family where we are. And we'll have the "burgers on the grill" that we were too tired to cook yesterday.
It is, after all, a HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
Coffee's ready... ☕☕☕... here's to US on a gray Sunday morning... <mug held high!>...

I'm in. My sister, her stepson and his wife will be over later. We'll hang on the deck and in the pool. Cold sandwiches and salads are on the menu.

Good morning. I agree with susiq25679, MJ don't answer your phone today!  Another low key day. I watched Hamilton yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I'm grilling bratwurst for dinner and relaxing. Off to get my coffee! |

Finally got the grill put together yesterday that I got right after Harvery 🙄 we were grilling burgers by dinnertime! 🍔🌽🍉 Tonight's line-up includes barbecue chicken and potatoes, onions and peppers drizzled with olive oil and spices. 🍗🧅🥔🌶I forgot how much I enjoyed grilling, it has been on my to-do list but kept getting bumped down the line. And of course I had to get the huge one that wouldn't fit in the back of my Blazer all put-together 🤣

DebDoesWW, I agree about grilling. DH likes to eat the grilled food but isn't interested in doing it so I've taken over that job. I love grilling outside and keeping the kitchen cooler. Enjoy it. Your menu sounds fabulous and oh yes, Happy Birthday to your Dad!

DebDoesWW, I love a flat tray like this one for grilling veggies and shrimp. Better than the wok I have because it covers a bigger area of the grill. ![]()

I'm in. 93 and few clouds. lol my weather app shows thunderstorms for the next nine days. I'm a little more optimistic.
I'm grilling sweet peppers, onions and Italian sausage for us today. A combined late lunch/early dinner. Thankfully, last night's fireworks weren't quite as bad for the cats as the days leading up to the Fourth. There were fewer M80's set off close by last night.
Everything needs a drink outside - time for the garden hose. Hope everyone has a great day!

people in my city somehow thought it was ok to keep letting off fireworks through until 3am. that cat wasn't scared until the 2 and 3 am fireworks. i could see she was visibly like "wtf"?
agreed with the advice for MJ, if you want a not much day it's in your power to keep it that way! just say no, we're tired and had planned on a low key day! but that was awfully generous of you to move a bunch of big heavy furniture for him. i hope you got a big tip!
