MOVE IT MONDAY... Well I for one have had 2 straight days of MOVING - so today I may just go back to work to relax a little! WHEW! What a weekend!!
Yesterday turned out a little differently than I had planned - no surprise there - my biggest PLANS need to be to NOT MAKE A PLAN!!
I knew I had normal weekend "chores" to get done - but then I also had Zoë pretty much all day! The "plan" was for Ken to take her home, then he had to hit Staples and Home Depot... well, 1st there was an ambulance call. Which is a normal 2 - 2 1/2 hours gone...well on the way back from the hospital the 2nd call came in - so all in all, 6 hours later he came home! I could have taken her home, but then that would mean MY STUFF wouldn't get done... Patti could have come and gotten her, but she too was doing laundry and dishes... so we agreed when Ken got home, since he had to go to Greenfield (Again) anyway... he'd just bring her. I was going along getting things done, and of course, she wanted to swim... so why not? I called my sisters - because it was hot, so if the pool is open we usually call to let them know... whatever... so they came up... only an hour or so... I actually "used" them for a while... let them swim with her while I flipped & folded some laundry. I did "swim" for a little bit, to cool off, then got out and left them to it for a while!! When they got out - Zoë had a snack and then Ken got home - so I got her dressed and off they went! By the time he got home, we were eating dinner at 7, and I.Was.Done.!
The good news is... I got most of the laundry DONE, dishes were DONE (until dinner - now there are more), Lunches for 2 days are DONE... and I need to get back to work, to rest! LOL
I know I bring a lot onto myself, if I had just gotten dressed and taken her home when he was on the 1st ambulance call, I could have been back home by noon and had the day to myself... but I was being lazy, which only comes back to bite me in the end! Always does!!
So "Sensible" Sunday wasn't as sensible as it could have been... but it's over, and moving on to Monday!

Sue: Glad you could catch up with DC Carol... yes MA is onto Phase 3 today. *public pools, not spas or hot tubs *movie theaters, the local one will limit to 25 people per theater! Not very cost effective, but they are willing to try! *Gyms - again limited capacity, and cleaning after each person... oh and with masks! I wouldn't want to be on a TM wearing a mask! UGH! Of course I don't DO TM anyway, but still, you get my point! LOL Those are the three that stick out in my mind...
Ouch - poor Jason... bet he just took it in stride... just a couple of stings? Hope he is less puffy today.
I do feel badly for Sarah... like I said, we know whatever she said, was done "under the influence"... remember the night I had with Timothy, when I had to drive to Foxboro. At this point I am sure she "knows"... and I bet when Josh got home he also was another "voice of reason!"
HA! LOL I don't think I will ever be the "Stand Up" for me kinda gal...I like the idea... this weekend proves that - if nothing else! Glad Jason had your back (again) with Sarah... yup, ALWAYS the mother's fault, eh??
OH No - NH beaches were far from "diligent" from what I heard! Yeah - some folks from Cape Cod were discussing how others coming in were far from diligent too! I know that where we usually go - is never "crowded", not the best beaches for waves and sandy beach - so we might be OK if we took off for CT some day.
Yes, that's why I am hoping to get Nancy OUT for a couple of hours. If we stay to eat at her house, she will still be taking care of her mother, and if a phone rings, she'll feel obligated to get it... Heck as it is, we were traveling to RI one time and she was answering her cell phone, to see who was ringing the doorbell at home - even though Paul was there to answer the door! But - like I said, we'll see... I also overheard Tracy telling Eden that I am on vacation in a couple of weeks, so I may end up with her for an overnight! I also have painting I need to finish up - so I can get the upstairs more organized... we are planning of getting another dumpster this fall, so I want my stiff ready to toss this time! Last time was all about the lumber and stuff to get it out of the yard - this dumpster will be about the attic, house and basement!

OK MOVE IT MONDAY - means getting a move on here, and get ready for work! Ken is still sleeping, in the guest room, so I can get ready for work! Short work week, as I will get out about an hour early Thursday to head to Boston. Well Brookline... but if I can make up some extra time this week, I can use less than 8 hours for Friday... might give me a chance to have a few "extra" hours for an early day sometime down the line. Since "extra" hours this week won't be OT, with vacation time Friday - I'd just as soon use less vacation hours - if that makes sense??
Not much planning got done yesterday for the week - but there is some whole wheat pasta in the fridge so we may just do that up for dinner tonight - have to see what Ken wants, since it's his night to cook! LOL
Gabrielle: Hope you had an awesome birthday ♥
Christine & Jenny: Back to work today?? Hope it goes well for ya'!
Have a great day everyone ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Thank you for the birthday wishes...it was a good COVID-like birthday! My mom came over for a bit, DS26 and his GF, DS20---we all had about 90 min together. No hugging or anything--kept our distance but had a nice time just visiting. Glad to have a birthday to make it happen! Regarding the car--we did go for rides on Fri and Sat evenings...on Saturday it overheated during the drive, LOL. An issue with the fuse to the fan. So, DH is fixing that and the throttle (he thinks it is sticky) and then I think we are good to go. It really is such a pretty car...looking forward to having it just for a fun ride now and then.
Carole: Oh, I love that everyone stayed there but BOO to DS for NOT telling Tim about the lunar eclipse...no telescope? Sheesh! What was she thinking? I see that the next one is in November...maybe there will be a clear sky? Yay for a short week. Oh, you will be in Brookline? When DS26 lived in Jamaica Plain, I used to walk there and loved walking around...and the Starbucks, LOL. Good for you for getting the steps and the pool time...nice! I saw on FB that a friend committed to getting a walk in every single day---at least 30 min. The other day she hit her 365th day! She walked in rain, hail, blazing heat. Wow, what an accomplishment! Hope that you can figure out a way to see Nancy...I see that her and Paul do occasionally get out on the motorcycle and we know that she loves that.
Sue: Ouch! Poor Jason! If that had happened to me, both eyes would be swollen shut. Glad that he recognizes when it is time to sit in the cool place--especially with your humidity. Hope that you have a good work week....
Christine: I am going to be moving things back to my office this week....probably working on site in the mornings and at home in the afternoons. Hope that you have a good day and HOORAY for a good staycation!!
Okay, need to shower and get a move on. Have a good day, ladies!

Hi everyone! Well yesterday was an no good, awful, horrible, terrible day! Steven and I started pulling stuff out to get packed up. My beach chair (brand new, bought it last year) is MIA. No one has it (my sisters) and Steve can't find it. I'm P&ssed! I painted my nails (which are quite long actually) french manicure. It doesn't take me too long but longer than just painting them. Right after they dried I broke 2 down all the way. I had broken one the day before and now have a hang nail it broke so low. and the 3rd thing....ants!!!! I have ants everywhere. We have been battling for at least a month. i opened the utensil drawer and they were every where. the day before every appliance had some ants on them. I dumped the silver ware and container in the sink and filled it up with water. I have 4 drawers all together in the kitchen, 1 silverware, 2 utensil (junk) and one tea towels and dish rags. I had to empty all of them, Steve washed them out, killed the ants, sprayed bug spray and put new drawer liners in them and put the stuff back in. I was sooooo frustrated!! I sat down had a glass of wine and chatted with my sisters on FB rooms.
My Mum did not break anything but she is in a lot of pain. She had a bad night. She was teary and wanted to talk to one of her DDs so they called sister #3. as she talked she started to feel better. They said she is in a wheel chair and does not want to stand up.
Yes today is my Birthday. Steven will come over after work at 6:30 pm and we will have ice cream cake. Steve got me a pair of sandals, I picked them out. They are really comfortable.
I'll check back later. got to get back to work.

Good morning Well today is the last day of vacation for me , but like I said I will try to schedule another before my next scheduled vacation which if Thanksgiving so I can use my PTO before I loose it. I had a really good 4th of July, I sat with Audrey and watched Hamilton on Disney, I loved it then we went to our friends and it was nice cause no one showed up besides us so we visited and ate of course and came home and I fell asleep early like normal. It sounds like everyone had a great holiday weekend. Sorry Sue about Sarah, alcohol makes people do some stupid stuff and say stupid stuff as well. I hope she apologized to you after she found out it was Jason's idea to keep Jackson for the night. But other than that it's sounds like everyone had fun. Ouch for Jason getting stung I hope he's on the mend now Carole sounds like the girls had fun in the sun and pool as well so glad Tim and Jacklyn and Eden stayed the extra night on the 4th instead of driving home. Did you guys do the big fire works or just sparklers. In Oregon the big fire works are illegal unless your in a park or controlled by professionals. But, everyone usually goes up to Washington and get the illegal ones anyway. Gabrielle so happy to hear you got to drive in your corvette for your birthday, how fun. You should post a picture of it on FB. I will definatly share the strapless bra story on our next zoom call, when it happened it was not so funny but now I can look back and laugh cause it is quite entertaining. The girl April who mentioned it on FB, I grew up with, her and her brother Joe tell the story and it's so funny cause the actually were there and saw it. It's funny. Ok gotta run for now, hello to Christine, Shelly, Lisa and Jo Jenny
