Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
We had a quiet night last night, no fireworks. First night in a long time. Very noticeable.
We’re in our blazing hot week. We’ve hit 90 all weekend, expected to hit every day this week. On Thursday we’ll be in the high 90s. Humidity will start climbing on Wednesday. No rain expected until the weekend. I will be indoors all week.
Ruth - good article. My biggest takeaway is the last one, organized clutter is still clutter.
Getting ready for my tv delivery tomorrow. When I get home from work I’ll move the tv from my living room to my spare room. Can’t wait.
Have a great day, stay cool.
I just found out that coworker welcomed their little firecracker into the world ... Charlotte was born July 4 at 11:39. What a great way to celebrate.

Good morning, I was at the lake, we went on Friday morning and got home last night late. It was a nice weekend, beautiful weather for the most part. The kids enjoyed the water and their kayaks. There was a boat parade on Saturday night and the kids had their flags ready for that. I have lots to do here, just put the second load of L in the washer, definitely going to be a busy day. Will be back later for personals.

Joyce, hope you were able to get the new TV set up okay. It was nice that you were able to see DB and DSIL and also go to church with them. I want to get some sugar free popsicles for the house. I brought some up to the lake, a good way to get extra fluids in, especially for the kids.
Ruth, I’m sure your DIL would be considered an “essential” worker, especially since she works in the ER. My DGD is really missing the structure and activity that the pre-school offers. Thanks for the 15 rules of clutter. I cut and pasted it and saved it on my computer. I see several that relate to me. Sounds like Mara was really worn out playing with her cousins.
As I posted earlier it was a very nice hot weekend. The kids really appreciate being able to be in water when it is that hot. I finished 5 loads of L by 3, everything is folded and put away except for a few of Bill’s polo shirts. I usually don’t leave them in the dryer till they are completely dry, it seems to create more wrinkles. I take them out and hang them on hangers, still need to put them away. I have an easy dinner planned. I’m tired but feel I accomplished a lot with getting all the L caught up. I called my hearing aid place this morning, need new tips that go in the ear, they haven’t called me back yet. I hope to hear from them soon.

Good really late evening. Didn’t get here earlier so this may be short. We’ve been staying up until 12:30 am, not gonna happen tonight.
I set the alarm this morning for 8 am. Luckily Stan got up right away and let Maggie out. Then he got dressed quickly and took the garbage to the curb. Then he let Maggie back in; 2 minutes before the heavens opened up and we had a monsoon with 30 mph wind gusts. For a while the wind was blowing the water sideways down the street. Rained for over an hour! Then sun came out; got hot and muggy; then got dark several times and threatened to rain more but didn’t, thankfully!!!!
A gal posted on one of our sale sites that she was in search of a 3-4 drawer file cabinet. We had one just taking up space downstairs. It had some old files in a couple drawers; things from the 90’s, both taxes, and HSA folders full of stuff. None of which is needed now. So I took a couple pictures quickly and send them to her. Even had 2 keys still in the lock on it. She said she’d take it and came at 2 and picked it up. And it turns out, her maternal grandmother’s maiden name was Leeson. So I’m going to check our genealogy stuff and see if we are possibly related at all. Well, if she’s related to Stan that is. Same area of England/Ireland in the background. Interesting coincidence. Then a gal posted 3 little Care Bear books for $1 total and Mara is into Care Bears big time. So we ran to get those and dropped off the jacket that goes with an outfit a gal bought a month or so ago. The jacket came in a load of laundry (it’s an 18 mo, Mara’s in 2-3T’s) and as soon as I saw it I knew the pants had gone to this gal. So I had sent her a message that I’d drop it off sometime. Dropped it off to her DH today while we were out. Some more out of the house. And tomorrow I’m going to start going thru the 2 boxes of file folders that were in the cabinet. Some will just recycle; other stuff will have to go in the shredding box we have building up. But that will be a lot more gone!
We stopped at the produce stand a mile or two from here. Fresh tomatoes, leaf lettuce, and they had lots of other stuff we didn’t get this time. I can’t wait for their corn to be ready. We had BLT’s for dinner tonight; tomorrow we’ll have wilted leaf lettuce with dinner. And the dish that Stan made in the Ninja Foodie the other night was dreadful. The chicken was dry; the rice wasn’t done; and the broccoli ends tasted like tree branches and chewed about that well. Not sure what he did but it wasn’t good.
Dottie so happy you had a good time at the lake. So much fun time with the grands. Making precious memories. I’m glad you and Joy enjoyed those rules. So often I can’t share those things here, but those I was able to so I did. I have a few others I’ll try to share.
Joy, did you get some pictures of the girls? Thought i sent them correctly but not sure.
ok, I’m going to bed. No more 12:30 for me. And I’ve been using my cpap all but 1 night (Mara’s first here and I was worried about hearing her); and I think it’s really helping. I’m not quite as tired during the day; and I think it’s helping my lungs. I’m not a huge fan of this mask, but going to try it for a while before I give up and change masks. Not giving up on the cpap at all since I feel it’s helping!
more tomorrow!
