Good morning all. We're up early this morning because DH has an appointment with this dermatologist for another skin check following his Mohs surgery last fall. After that, we'll stop at Wal-Mart for some groceries. So, not much on our agenda and we're hoping to keep it that way. diva49, hope your trip to DB's apt. goes smoothly with no surprises. (fingers crossed!) I'm IN. Have a good day, y'all!

Good morning, everyone! It's been a while since I was here, but I see a lot of familiar members are still around.
My husband and I have been fine, despite the pandemic. Hubby's job was spared, but several others in his department where either laid off, furloughed, or took voluntary packages. One colleague tragically passed away (a man only in his 30s) from an operation that should never have taken him.
My state's (NJ) covid daily cases have been reduced greatly and have leveled off, but the end of restrictions still seems far away. I am in favor of caution, but it makes so many things so difficult. My father has been in an assisted living for several months now. We've been trying to get him to a couple doctors for evaluations, but we keep having to postpone the appointments. They don't consider them "emergency" appointments so if we took him out, he'd have to isolate in his room for 7 days. It had been 14 not long ago. Before that we wouldn't have even been able to return him to the assisted living, at the time. Unfortunately, we believe Dad has dementia. He received a preliminary diagnosis of that a while back (which he never told us about), but it's crucial that we get a neurologist to confirm it again. The situation is tough. His LTC insurance refuses to pay anything since the gp indicated the dementia could be alcohol-induced, even though our dad didn't abuse alcohol in any significant way until he was 70 years old. I believe his alcohol abuse was because of dementia and/or mood issues. It's all very sad that this has happened. My siblings and I have not been able to have meaningful conversations with our father for some years now.
My husband booked a vacation for us to Europe in September, but it's certainly possible that we will have to cancel it because of covid-19. Europeans are not allowing Americans in because we have the worst covid outbreak in the world, and it's worsening still. My husband is a European country citizen, as well as an American, but I'm just the latter. Perhaps we could have a better chance than couples who were only American, but it's still iffy if we should go, even if they allow us. Frankly, I don't blame them if they don't.
Hubby has lost some weight lately from my healthier cooking. I am due to weigh myself. We'll see. I feel and look thinner, but that's not always a true indicator for me. We have been exercising a bit more, despite the hot and humid days in our area.

Happy Tuesday!!! (I seriously thought it was Wednesday when I got up this morning!) Busted out 4 miles this morning before it got too hot. My pace was pretty good (13:44 mile). It's always that last mile that gets me! Other than that, nothing much on tap today besides some work. cyndee, It's good to see you back! *HUGS* It's never easy when our parents age, let alone when they are in assisted living and now COVID! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

I'm in, planned and tracked. I don't mind hot weather, it's this gross humidity I don't like.

I’m in. I made to my Virtual Workshop this morning. Then dh and I had our first PT appts. My knee definitely needs the work out. We have appts the next 4 Tuesdays. I’m glad we finally got appts and have started the process. Have a good day everyone with many reasons to smile.
