GOOD MORNING ☼ WORK IT WEDNESDAY... What can we DO to "WORK IT" Today?? 1.) MORE WATER/LIQUIDS 2.) PLAN MEALS 3.) MOVE MORE 4.) TRACK FOOD & DRINK
Sitting here pre-planning my day... knowing it CAN and WILL be BETTER than yesterday! UGH! What a mess (eating) that was for me! WHY? I was in a mood! The worst part is the mood was brought on by the scale... so in retaliation for that I just ate more? Well, not more, but wrong? What a mess I made for myself, huh??
I need to reel it in... soon... So - Today's PLAN is to PLAN, TRACK & FOLLOW THROUGH!!

Christine: LOL I prefer the laptop too! Seems so much easier for me to track on this, than on my phone! OH I didn't realize you were back in the office now! Yes take those Mondays, extend your weekends!! Sounds like with most tables full, Linds will have her hands full being the only waitress on! CHA$$$CHING$$$
Gabrielle: Hmmm... OK... so the BOSS gets three weeks off during this crisis/pandemic, but you can't get one?? I don't know HOW you do it!! Doesn't sound like your plan to work afternoons at home went very well either... {{{hugs}}} Oh - I am not fearful of public restrooms... I just want to know there is one I can use!! I mean seriously - if I can't go inside the hospital, I need to know what else is around. I have googled it, and Oh yes we ARE in "Boston", just over the line from Brookline, anyway... the area doesn't appear to have a lot of "business" around it!!
IF all goes according to plan... and that IF is a HUGE IF... I may be able to get Tracy to the hospital for her 7 AM COVID Test, then get back to the hotel, and check out at 11. Tracy is calling today to see if I can get a later check out time - but even if I check out at 11, and sit in the lobby or on the patio, I'll at least have a rest room - and can "wait" there. As of NOW, her actual arrival time is 8:45, for 10:45 surgery. Out of surgery (around) 12:15, in Recovery until (about) 1:15. I know everything is "subject to change", but this is the timeline for now! We can do the 7 AM COVID test, and she can then check in before 8"45... OR, she will drive herself to the COVID Test, then come back to the hotel and get an UBER to the hospital for 8:45 CHECK IN? Trust me, the PLAN is not much of a PLAN yet! Part of my lack of focus this week, is the unknown of the day Friday... the hotel is 2 miles = 10 minutes from the hospital! I expect when it comes right down to it - I will just go at 7 AM and sit in the car until it's time to head home... who am I kidding that I can find something else to do??
Zoom this weekend - I can't make any promises... so schedule when it's best for everyone else, and I'll see what I can do to "get there"!
Sue: Yikes, that sounds awful! I know it's good to be working - good to be busy... but WHEW!!
HA! And just like "that" I am behind again! Accounting hasn't posted so I can't balance without their GL balances! I have nothing to "balance to"! UGH! Only "behind 7/3 and 7/4-7/6 for now... but if they don't post today... WHAM! If I can't balance at all this week, when I get back Monday - and with Kaitlin out, there goes my settlements again!
Oh yeah, our OLD theater, used to be one screen is now 6 or 8? Very small spaces - IMHO - I don't even know how many they hold on a good day! LOL Masks are still required... so I don't know about wanting to go sit for 2+hours with a mask... Oh I guess that would limit the popcorn eating! Hmm! I am not much of a movie goer anyway, so I don't expect to be going any time soon! Yes, Sunday chores did get done - I am just feeling over tired and overwhelmed some days!
Yeah, LOL, we used to get the OT no matter what - now we don't... which is fine, extra time is still extra money... but I am getting to the point I'd rather have the extra time OFF instead of extra $$

Good Morning ~ already 72 degrees outside and promising to hit 90 today! I honestly am NOT complaining - it is hot and humid and I just love looking outside seeing SUN! We have not had this many days in a row of sunshine in YEARS lol WI today has me hovering around the same, a few ounces here or there. I know exactly what I need to do to change that...obviously doing nothing is not working either... Carole - thank you for starting us off - I thought you were taking a few days off this week but now I see you are heading into work? Sorry, just confused. I know this Friday is Tracy's re-scheduled surgery. You had mentioned Brookline so I looked it up - there are quite a few nice parks in the 'neighborhood' so maybe you can head to one to walk around, sit on a bench, enjoy sun?? Might be nicer than sitting in your car? Actually sounds like a very nice area But I'm sure you will figure it out - Sue - wow, the EARLY morning shifts have got to be killers! Is that the schedule this position requires? Definitely a change in routine for most of us - hang in there! Will you keep to it through next week too? I know you mentioned you are covering for Vacations and they asked a supervisor to keep you one extra week...hope everyone is being nice to you! lol Jo - I think you mentioned this weekend is when you leave for Vacation? - I was checking the weather for ya! When it says, "Partly Cloudy" it really means a pinch of clouds with plenty of SUN! How have you been feeling? I know how stressed you were with the bloodwork and tests and the updated liver news. Did you return to BLE ? I'm thinking about turning more towards BLE myself if anything, to kick start some healthier eating habits! How was your birthday? You mentioned picking out some nice sandals...good for you! I usually end up doing the same here as DH is AWFUL with gift buying - he just doesn't pay attention LOL so if I want something he is usually relieved to have me get what I really want! Shelly - I know you have been enjoying company this week and getting closer to your own Vacation trip! It will be so good to see your Boys!!! Gabrielle - yep, I would be a bit perplexed (?) too if the Executive Director took that much time off while you struggle to take even a long weekend...hmmm...maybe he assumes YOU will take care of everything? I hope he's not taking advantage of your talent and time...I have a long Agenda of items to discuss with the Prince. Yesterday he requested we meet at 1:00 today. I replied that I hoped he had allotted more than 15 minutes for our meeting as I had several items from my Department that require discussion. He immediately replied, "Send me your list" then sent a calendar invite for an hour and half! I'm not sure I can stand to be in the same room as him for an hour and half but trust me, I WILL share my well thought out items and hope we are on the same page. We have not met since April...The Prince LOVES the fancy colorful graphs of NWEA MAP so he renewed the contract - I agree, very expensive, especially since our State developed a similar program that is FREE just minus the fancy graphs. Shaking my head...I am leaning towards using MAP the first 2 weeks of September followed by Acadience (DIBELS) for the little ones only. I would love to hear your thoughts on the necessity of Oral Reading Fluency benchmarks for older students - I'm thinking our teachers are not using that data in our upper grades - Okay, I will look towards today to MOVE MORE. I have done well with water. I have Tracked my days. I REALLY need to stop adding to my Tracker and using weekly Fit Points lol

Evening all...only got out a few minutes late tonight and not heading in until 7:00am instead of 6:00am tomorrow....we are just about caught up but there is another HUGE job coming that could arrive tomorrow or Friday.... got word today that I will be in Back Issues one more week to help get everything caught up!! I'll take it.....one more week w/o COBRA!!
Time to head back to yesterday and catch up a bit....
Carole...love your drive to make tracking "2nd nature"....you will do it!! Salsa chicken sounds yummy...you can make black beans and rice work....everything in moderation!! I love how you are getting a "jump start" on the changes before vacation!!
Yes, I have been up with the birds the last 2 mornings...thankfully I can sleep in a bit tomorrow and then hoping on Friday it will be a regular 8:00am day.....I'm exhausted....since I'm starting 2 hours earlier than normal my time to relax and enjoy my coffee and answer emails, pay bills and do those usual morning things is gone....been getting my shower at night which I hate so tomorrow will be back to morning shower, won't have extra time to enjoy my coffee but at least I will be back to my normal morning shower....
Christine...I always prefer tracking on the computer instead of my phone...for me it's just easier!! I'm sure it will be odd to be back in the office FT now...but you knew the day was coming!! YES...take those 4 days so you don't lose them...I vote for Mondays too!! Glad Linds likes her new job...yay for all tables being hers on Sundays!! I'm sure COVID plays a part in the slow business....how long has this one been open??
Gabrielle....no "Track Tuesday"....must seem odd!! Sounds like a good idea to make that list of "must do" projects between now and the middle of the month.....I always do better with lists! Maybe your boss just takes his vacation and figures he'll pick up the slack when he gets back....we all know the work will wait for us!! Some people don't feel the pressure to get stuff done when it comes time for vacation...they just "unplug"!! Yes, it's a lot of hours and I am taking full advantage of the extra $$$. I'm glad I have one more week next week, then who knows...might just be home again??? Keep checking the job opening list....not sure if they filled the Account Manager position from in-house or not...if they did, that position should open up??
Gabrielle/Christine....I do not envy teachers, school districts and others in education right now...I know locally they are trying to figure things out so that the kids can go back to school.....I've heard kids will need to wear masks and that could be a fiasco but it is what it is!!
Right now...either Saturday or Sunday is fine for me!! Schedule it and I'll hopefully be there!

Carole....you just beat me again this morning!!! You weren't there, I hit refresh and you popped in!!! Duplication averted!!
Carole....I did move more today because I was stiff and sore, probably the extra hours sitting....with it being so hot, I have been drinking a lot and mostly just water!! Running out of leftovers now so not sure what lunch will be the next two days....maybe will just throw together a salad quick.... OK, here's the deal...yesterday was a disaster for you but it's over!!! Hopefully the mood has lifted and you can face the day will a fresh start!!
LOL...I'm with you Carole...public restrooms never worried me...heck there is always soap and water if need be...I just need to know one is available!! I am NOT a fan of port-a-potties!!
Hopefully Tracy got some answers today so you can finalize your "plan" for day....even if you have to check out of your room, the hotel will not even think twice if you hang out in the lobby or on the patio...they will probably not even notice you are there and you WILL have a bathroom!!
Oh my Carole...sorry accounting is holding up your settlements AGAIN...if I remember right this happens most months!! Hopefully you can at least get a couple done before you are off on Friday!! There are only certain movies I like to see in the theater.....most we just wait until they come to DVD or on demand....we had some extra movie tickets so that is why we went a few times several months ago...I actually still have 4 movie tickets left so once things are open again...we will likely go back at some point!! I don't think our theater is open yet...I know it wasn't a couple weeks ago and we have been green for a month now so they can open???
Yes....Jason used to get OT no matter what and it changed a couple years ago....I'm with you, the time off is better anyway, except right now for me....I'll take any OT I can get right now!! LOL!!
Christine...yes, it is indeed a warm one today!!! It is SUPER humid here today and no rain is dropping on us....all the storms were north....looking like tomorrow is going to be even hotter/more humid!! UGH! No, the usual hours for this position is 8:00 - 4:00 but both Gloria and I would rather come in early rather than stay later...so we opted to start at 6:00am the last couple days....we were there until 6:15pm on Monday and by the time you get home, get dinner it's time to wind down and think about heading to bed.....but I will say, these REALLY early mornings are killing me this week... YES, YES, YES.... Tonya and Gloria are great....known them both for a long time, Tonya started about the same time I did at Sheridan and Gloria has been there many years too...They have both been very patient and helpful!! Mark is great to work for too!!
Glad the Prince allotted you more time for you meeting today....hope you got to cover all you wanted to cover!! SMH that the Prince would pay so much $$$ for colorful graphs when the FREE program can provide the same info...heck you can make an Excel spreadsheet and use that info to make a pretty colorful graph for FREE!!
Hi Jenny...why are you training someone new at the Elk plant???
I'm done....I'm tired....time to sit in front of the fan and relax for a while and hopefully nod off to sleep soon!!
