Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Ruth - that’s a beautiful cabinet. My living room, actually my whole house, is small, that’s why I’ve been holding off getting a large tv. I thought it might be too big, but it’s not. I would love to get an Apple Watch, but I’m sure it would be too big for me. I’m not even comfortable with the Fitbit Charge 3, that’s why I’m still using the Charge 2. I keep my iPhone and iPad connected, mostly because I want my photos to sync. Hopefully now that the watch is disconnected it will be fine. I can’t imagine a phone calling on it’s own. I wear glasses, but my eyes aren’t really all that bad. One of my friends used to stumble around in the mornings and had to keep her glasses nearby. Hoping your DS meeting isn’t what he’s thinking.
Dottie - even a 30 minute rain would be welcome. Looks like we have to wait until Saturday for ours.
Woke up at 5:30, it was already 77*, heading for another 90*+ day. Min-Tues hit 94. Grateful for AC both at home and at work. Not doing much today, definitely not going outside.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, it is hot and humid here today. No sun today, rain is expected around noon time. It looks like we could get some of that tropical storm over the weekend.
Ruth, hope the call for you DS isn’t what he is thinking it will be. It is a difficult time for DS and DIL with her mother so sick. It sounds like her mother isn’t one to follow rules, but hope she can get out of the hospital soon. I hate when my computer or other electronic device starts doing things on its own. I know I wouldn’t have been able to figure out how to do all of the things that needed to be done with the watch/phone. Even Bill said that some of the newer things cause him problems. Bill built us a similar cabinet as the one your TV is in and our TV just fits in the center area. We have one of those old big tube TVs up at the lake. If it breaks I’m not sure how we will get it out of there.
Both Bill and I have been getting our exercise in early because of the heat. I did one of my DVDs and plan on doing my knee exercises later. I can break the knee exercises up into 3 to 5 minute segments so I get a break in between the segments. I have to get 2 forms ready to put in the mail. If it rains this afternoon I plan on just reading my book, too hot to do too much.

Good afternoon ladies. Just turned noon here! And hot! And muggy! We are to have a heat advisory this afternoon - temps in the 90’s but heat advisory of 100-105!
Joy, thank you. It’s a HUGE cabinet back into the wall. Now I wish I had that space in the bathroom. Or our walk in closet. Dottie, we had to get a couple friends to help haul out 2 of those big tv’s. We had one here and then one in our bedroom. Thankfully our city did/does the day where you can get rid of all that kind of stuff and they take the tv’s for free. Along with computers, phones, etc.
It was DH’s watch that was making the calls on it’s own. He was out for a run the one time and he bought the watch so he doesn’t have to take his phone with. I was uncomfortable having him out on the road somewhere and not being able to contact anyone or call for help if needed. Dottie, he knew how to un-pair them, and re-set to factory; but he was hoping not to have to do that! He hoped it was a known problem and they’d have a fix for it. But no such luck and no guarantee it won’t happen again.
Gal picked up the pack ‘n play I was trying to sell. An online DF was coming to visit this summer (she was one of two of them coming) and they both had/are having grandsons this year. She was going to buy the pack ‘n play, the swing, and I was giving her the exersaucer. But since she can’t come she said to go ahead and sell. I just remembered I haven’t listed the exersaucer. Should be on my list to do this afternoon. Think I’ll sit downstairs and sort some of those files that came out of the file cabinet I sold. Hoping to get a bunch more stuff listed and sold.
Have our sheets in the washer. About ready for the dryer. I’m not looking forward to re-making the beds, but I’ve finally got it down to a manageable system. Take the mattresses off one side of the frame where I can better reach the other side and make sure all sides are totally on. DH is such a restless sleeper that his corners come off every couple nights. DH has complained today that he’s so tired he can hardly put one foot in front of the other. Told him last night he was snoring loudly; he has restless leg syndrome (untreated) and his arms and legs were thrashing; and he was up and down. His sheets show wear from his feet moving all the time. I have marked our sheets so we each have a set. I want him to see what he’s doing to his sheet.
Time to make lunch. I need a couple things from the grocery store too. I really want some fresh sweet corn. And we bought some small red potatoes for DH to crisp in the air fryer part of the Ninja. Hoping they turn out better than the chicken dinner did. I think maybe we should have used whole chicken breasts rather than the chicken tenders. And cooked the rice longer. It may have been old too and that may have affected it. Who knows!
have a good afternoon all. More tomorrow.
