Good THIRSTY THURSDAY Mornin' ladies ☼ We are looking at hot and humid weather today - with (of course) a chance of TStorms. Ran into one storm driving home last night, no biggie - lots of lightening, but the rains were not too heavy! They let up by the time I got home, so guessing not enough to help the ground! I went out to sit on the back porch for a bit - but Tracy came out to "chat" so I just came in!
Dinner was fine, plain baked chicken, brown rice, and veggies - then upstairs to pack! I think I am set now, will do a last look before I pack it in the car before going to work!
Tracy called the hotel and I can leave and enter the parking garage as much as I want... and we got late check out - at 2:00 PM. So, now I can get her to the hospital then get back to the hotel and do my waiting in our room! May not have to pay t park at the hospital - if I am just dropping off and picking up?? Might pack up my laptop too - since I will be there most of the day? Not sure... It just feels weird to know I will be at the hotel by myself! That has like almost never happened? I cannot remember a time that I have "checked out" of a hotel on my own! That is adding to my stress of the week! LOL I am so not used to doing some of this stuff alone! UGH!
OK Have my coffee - time to catch up ♥

WORK IT WEDNESDAY went OK... not "stellar" but OK... Too.Much.Sugar.! Maybe today will be a better day???
Christine: YAY Enjoy that sunshine ☼ GF! It is a wonderful thing... I got to sit outside for lunch in the sun - before the clouds came in - that felt good! Ahhh, my scale is going UP 7 UP & UP again! Even increasing my water (less seltzer) isn't "working"! But I guess nothing will work if I keep eating the junk stuff people bring in to work! Yesterday Deb went to McDs for lunch and brought back sundaes for everyone!
No - no time off this week except for leaving early today, and off tomorrow. Next week is Kaitlin's 1st vacation - mine is the week of the 20th! Then I have a couple of Mondays off in August.
Hope your meeting with the Prince yielded some answers for you- we all know he is not good at "deciding" anything!
Yes... now that I know I don't have to worry about a rest room - as I can come and go at the hotel until 2... I want to see what's near there to get a walk. From Goggle though it looks like not much to see or do... near the hospital... but we'll see. If nothing else the hotel has a nice patio that I can sit and relax until time to check out - or pick up Tracy - whichever comes first.
Good luck with moving more and not using those Fit Points to allow extra snacking!
Jenny: Hope your day went well - training? Again??
Sue: Are you already through your 2 weeks?? That went quick! Glad you are staying on at least 1 more week... not sure who makes the decisions to only bring people in when they get "behind"... Geeze, if they just let folks work - they wouldn't get behind!!
Thanks - I know I need to get back to prepping and planning for a week ahead (again)... it's what keeps me SANE and ON TRACK! Oh yeah, I have to do a morning shower... no matter what - I have to make that time!
LOL Sue - guess no worries about duplicating the thread today - YOU get to sleep "in"! Ahhh, unfortunately no - the mood has not "lifted"... I think between Tracy's surgery, and the unknown of getting her to the hospital and the driving around Brookline/Boston... has me - well - quite frankly - A HOT MESS! I am trying NOT to let my worries about the driving in and around the cities get the best of me... but it it what it is... and I know I CAN DO IT... I am just not USED to "doing it"! Quite frankly I feel like a big baby right now... worrying about it already! I don't know what lunch today is for me either... thinking I may just order out... a nice salad from anywhere - is easier than me worrying about that this morning too!
LOL No not a fan of porta-potties, but if the need strikes...I always have my hand sanitizer hanging on my purse or bag... even before COVID I had those things dangling from my bag!
Yes, accounting usually holds me up early on in the month - I just haven't noticed the past several, since I was already behind! She posted yesterday, and I got July 3 out of my way... it was pretty much done, just had to plug in the ending balance and it zeroed out! YAY! Today I will get the weekend done if nothing else! Hoping they go smoothly so they can all be done before I leave today!

I guess it is time to get moving here... not going to pack the laptop, that would just encourage me to sit in the hotel room all day - instead of venturing out to see what that part of Boston has to offer! LOL While I am glad to NOT be driving in the middle of downtown Boston - I kinda wish the hospital were somewhere else... IN the city... not the outskirts... city streets are easier for me to want to wander around than "neighborhoods", but I will try to look forward to getting out and seeing what I can see for that section of Boston!
I will have my tablet - so will check in as I can... DRINK YOUR WATER Ladies... especially in this HOT - HUMID weather!!
♥hugs♥

Good Morning ~ I have been sleeping in an extra half hour each day since starting 'Summer' schedule at work - but it really cuts into my time here Not a very good night's sleep - kept waking - but it's fine. Tracked my eggs for breakfast, w/watermelon; Lunch will be a large salad; snack will be counted out almonds, and later Greek yogurt w/berries. I might pack an extra selzer - whoo wild times here - lol Today ends our SUN streak - looks like scattered thunderstorms each day from tonight on...I have been putting our lawn sprinkler out each evening as our poor yard is getting so brown - Carole - What a huge relief you can use your Hotel room if needed until late afternoon. Check out is no longer a biggie - most hotels do it for you! Just ask at the desk when you check in how this one prefers it but we've never had to do anything other than vacate before 11:00 am It's all automatic now...If the weather is decent hopefully you can venture over to the Park area of Brookline - it looks so pretty! Find a bench and sit - or find a cute coffee shop to grab a tea if you like. It will be fine - you are a strong person! Sue - Okay, finish STRONG!! Go Sue, Go! You can get through this day and breathe more easily tomorrow. Good to know you are able to 'help' out all next week with this next large order! Jenny - how did Training of the new girl go? Is she replacing WWOW when she retires? How's the pool area coming along with getting those rocks out? Gabrielle - hopefully you are doing okay with using the TM instead of the Track...hey, don't be surprised if I text you from work today about Attendance for this new school year - the Prince asked me to find a similar policy for ideas on how to track Attendance if we offer a hybrid program - giving parents the option to Stay Home and participate virtually - but it would have to be synchronous not wander online when the child feels like it - it's looking tricky - Anyways, gotta get moving. My hb eggs are about done and I want to head out the door early

Good Morning everyone
Back at the Elk plant today again. Training went really well yesterday and McKenzie did really well, we had a lot of fun. She is training for both Redi-Mix and Aggregate dispatch, but after training is over and she gets it all down she will be part time only. They are training another girl also named Miranda for both also, she is full time. What they are doing is rotating all the scale techs and having them go to all the plants in the Mid valley so the job does not get to boring being in the same place all the time. I love it, you get to meet fellow employee's and go to other plants to see how they run it. Now people like WWOW is so close to retiring they just leave her in one spot and the lady that I'm filling in for at the Elk plant today she is really close also, so they leave her in one spot as well, and to tell you the truth after working with both of them they have a lot knowledge about the program we work with and are good trainers but you get them out the they're office and they aren't to good at being any where different. They both panic and forget a lot just because they are in a different spot and that's not what our boss wants. He want's to be able to change at the last minute in case there's an emergency and some one can't make it in or if they go on vacation someone can come in and not miss a beat job wise. I think it's a great idea and we all get to keep working, the more a person is trained in the bigger asset they are to the company. I told them I would train for Redi-mix as well since I've done dispatch for both for the last 11 years so I know a lot about both product's but they said no they are full on the Redi-mix side, so I said OK and moved on. To tell you the truth the little gal that runs the Redi-Mix down here asked me once how many years I've been doing Redi-Mix and I told her, well, I drove Redi-Mix for 10 years and worked in the dispatch for another 11 years so that makes 21 years of it, and I think she felt a little intimidated because her mouth dropped and she got a little bit of an attitude, and said "Well that's way longer than I've been in it", she's maybe in her late 20's early 30's, I defiantly HAVE been in it and probably DO know more than you, I never said it, but I was thinking it. People are so funny sometimes, it's like they ask a question and feel intimidated by the answer, my theory is don't ask a question if you can't accept the truth OK enough of that rant

Carole good luck driving around Boston today, I get really nervous driving in big cities as well because I'm not familiar with them and usually the traffic is going 80-90 miles an hour, especially in Portland, I hate it. When I used to drive truck we would haul concrete up there and the surrounding area's and I would get so sick to my tummy with fret. I hated, hated it, even in my small car I still hate it. I hope Tracy's surgery goes well today I know your nervous about it and I'm thinking about you my friend, hugs to you ()()()()
Christine yeah to being back into the office at least some normalcy is coming back with all this Corona Virus. Audrey's school is going back in the fall with masks to be worn at all times, let's just see how that work's out, I hope she doesn't come in contact with it. I know of a lot of people that don't believe that this is a real virus and its all political, which is so dumb, this is a real virus and you CAN die from it, come on people. I just don't get it. My poor lawn is getting all brown as well so I water in the evenings, it's not really helping. The pool is coming along DH went out and worked on it till he couldn't anymore, bad back, but eventually we will get it done, it's just going to take some time.
Sue glad to hear you get to keep working. It's always a week by week schedule around here as well, but our company has so many rock/concrete plants there's plenty of places to work. I did ask once if we got laid off if we had to Cobra out our insurance and Billy said no, they would pay it and then collect the payment after things got back to normal, I thought that was so nice of our company, but it is a bulti-million dollar company so it can take good care of its employee's. Now if I was working for my old company, I would have been laid off, cause they didn't care at all about their employees', they didn't even carry my insurance when I was pregnant with Audrey, they made me Cobra it out. Oh well such is life. How's Sarah doing these day's? I hoped she apologized and worked everything all out.
Gabrielle yes let's do a zoom call just give me the day and time and I'll be there with my strapless bra story.
OK gotta run for now I will chat with you all this weekend

Evening all...FINALLY feeling like we are catching up a bit at work....for the first time all week Gloria and I didn't feel like we were still getting buried....while we didn't catch up all the way...we made a much bigger dent in things!! We are heading in at 7:00am again tomorrow so that we can leave at 4:00pm....heck it's Friday!! As long as we don't get hammered....we should be fine!! It's been a long week!!
Carole...I did OK with water today....actually had to "slam" the last of my tumbler right before I left work....I just forgot to drink this afternoon??? Who knows why??
It definitely HOT and HUMID today but no sign of rain today....supposed to have a 50% chance of some tomorrow...we can use it!! Jason is out back now planting the final batch of corn, green beans and 2 hills of cucumbers....it would be really nice if they got a good "drink from the heavens" to get them going!!!
Carole...that's great to have the late check out and garage parking regardless of how many times you have to go in and out!! Things are falling into place! I'm thinking you will just drop off at the hospital so no parking will be needed....hope you brought your laptop along....since you will be at the hotel hanging out to wait you can take advantage of the Wi-Fi there! How far is it from the hospital?? I know you will manage just fine checking out...heck, most hotels now you just leave the keys at the desk and go!
Yes...tomorrow will actually be the end of my THREE weeks...one week training and 2 weeks covering vacation! Add next week and I will have been working a whole month!! Not sure what will happen after that but I am truly grateful for the paycheck!! Not to mention the OT the last two weeks...I think by the end of tomorrow I will have 11-12 hours!!
LOL....nope Carole...no worries about duplicating today!!! It was nice to sleep in an extra 30+ minutes...and get a morning shower today!!! Yes, when you are not used to city driving or driving someplace that is unfamiliar it is unnerving....hopefully due to COVID traffic will be much less than normal and that should help!!
I actually made a couple salads this morning after I got out of the shower...I had a few veggies already prepped so it was fairly quick....made one for today and will take the other tomorrow!! Since I will eat out tomorrow night since it's Paint Night....need to make a good salad choice for lunch to offset the Chicken Caprese Panini I'm planning on getting! I know I won't eat the whole thing but it's still not super OP!! But it is YUMMY!!
So...did you get your weekend settlements done before you left today Carole??? Hopefully by now you are on your way to the hotel and the "traffic gods" are smiling on you!! Hoping you can find a nice place to walk around tomorrow just to "get some steps"! Yes, the city is more interesting to be wandering around but who knows....Brookline might be a nice change of pace!

Christine....enjoy the extra 1/2 hour sleep...sorry last night was not restful!! Our sunny streak continues after tomorrow which should be the gloomiest day of the 10 day...with the HHH weather there is always a chance of the pop up T-storms! We could actually use a nice couple days of a gentle soaking rain at this point!!
Yes...I am grateful for the extra week to "help out" again...any time at work is a big help!! It honestly feels good to be productive if only for a while!! I know Gloria was glad when Mark called and told me I would be there another week.....really helped take the load off today and tomorrow....we could let a few things slide and not feel so stressed!
Jenny...glad you are enjoying the Elk plant and training is going well!! LOL, makes me smile when you mentioned how WWOW and the other woman usually at the Elk plant do great at THEIR office but flounder when out of their element....some people are like that and the older people get, the more it shows !! Some people don't "fly by the seat of their pants" well.... I agree, the more versatile an employee is, knowing varied locations' routines, the more valuable they are to the company itself! I'm sure also it's nice to have the variety of locations and interacting with other employees in the company!! I think I would like that! Yup....if you don't want an honest answer...don't ask the question!! LOL!!
There are some companies Jenny that are paying the insurance for laid off employee's and collecting it when they are called back but unfortunately Sheridan is only 30 days and then it's COBRA....so as long as I work 1 day now and then, my 30 days restarts....
NO, Sarah has not apologized yet but then I haven't seen her....as I mentioned yesterday Jason said she seemed more herself so who knows...she's a "tough nut" and sometimes finds it hard to admit SHE was the one in the wrong....I know she is glad we were proactive but admitting it to us...tough for her to say!!
LOL...can't wait for the strapless bra story!!!
Time to put my puffy feet up.....the humidity really is doing a number on my ankles!!
Sweet dreams all....safe travels Shelly...you hit the road tomorrow, I think??? Waves Jo, Lisa, Gabrielle, Nadine and anyone else I might have missed!

Good evening from Brookline! Made real good time getting here. We got checked in and ordered Chinese... now just relaxing for a bit,, then going to lie down and try to sleep. Going to be a long night.. nothing wrong, just different.
Christine: What's this park area you speak of? I am not finding an area like that. Closest place to eat from here is like half mile... yes I "can" walk it, but, so much construction around here. I will venture out sometime, somewhere, just not sure when or where. Hope your day went well. Oh yes, good to know they won't kick me to the curb too early!LOL
Jenny: Too funny... the young ones get intimidated so easily. I was ok driving here... same route we used to use to get to Fenway! Although it has changed a lot, there is still a lot I do remember! Only 1 1/2 miles from Fenway... wonder if I have it in me to walk that far? Again so much road construction... intimidates ME! LOL
Sue: Glad the day was good, and tomorrow should be a usual 8 hour day. Oh yes, got all settlements done today... even yesterday! I also got my glss caught up, so I am fine being off tomorrow. Traffic was ok...until we hit the Chestnut Hill area... busy, shopping, eating... just a busy section. Oh yes, seems Tracy will drive herself to the hospital, .7 mile! For her Covid test. Then she'll come back here, and pack. The hotel runs a shuttle to the hospital! So she will take that at 8:30 for her 8:45 check in.
Sort of feel guilty not going with her, but again, due to Covid I can't go in the hospital anyway, so she may as well take the shuttle?
OK so only on my tablet... I did not bring the lap top...figured that would give me more reason to just sit here tomorrow, so without it maybe I will be more motivated to get out of the hotel!
Anyway with only 1 screen I am not sure I am catching up with you all!
Time to call it a night... will be back in the morning, ❤hugs❤
