Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Starting to put my grocery list together for tomorrow. I shop early, less people in the store. Definitely need some fruits and veggies and probably some beans.
Have either of you ever tried tofu? I see that in so many recipes and I’m curious. Might have to give it a try. I’m still trying to add more meatless meals to my menu, but not ready to go vegetarian. I do want to limit red meat, I find I eat way too much of that.
We were talking a lot about summer food yesterday in my virtual workshop. One of the WW staff mentioned chicken Italian sausage. I used to eat that years ago, putting it on my grocery list along with peppers and onions.
I need to do something different, my usual meal planning and eating is still not working for me. I got to 15# lost and have really stalled the past few months. I won’t blame the pandemic, it’s really still about food choices that I make.
Today is going to be the hottest and most humid day of the week. I can’t wait until Saturday when the rain comes.
Enjoy your day

Good morning from rainy looking MN! Grey overcast day again this morning. Thank you both for your good thoughts for DS. I haven’t talked to him this morning to see how he’s doing. DIL works this weekend, so I think we’ll take Mara and give DS a break. With any luck we can get her out back so she can play with the water table and the sprinkler and run around and get some good exercise! She runs with Maggie and they both enjoy it.
Getting a massage this afternoon. I wear a mask during the massage. And she wears a mask, a plastic shield and has to change scrubs between clients. And her room is downstairs away from everyone else there so it’s nice and safe.
I need to get to Target also. A prescription refill and a few other things it’s hard to get for pick up. Target is now doing freezer/dairy/meat/bread but not sure I’m ready to use it. I like to check expiration dates on things like my yogurt.
ok, just got a call from Amazon about someone buying an iPhone on my account - not sure if it’s a scam or not but I’m not clicking on their link on the phone. Will go online to my amazon account and check.
As I thought, the Amazon thing was a scam. They wanted me to press a button on my phone; I don’t press those anymore than I open unknown links on my iPad. Got ahold of customer service, she checked it out and said it was a phishing scam and there was no pending sale of an iPhone! Good to know. And I feel better.
Stan & Maggie are going for a short run. Depends on how he feels and if it starts raining or not. Hope they get one in, they both can use it!
more later!

Healthyjoy - My brother introduced me to tofu. Make sure to press out all the water before cooking. It will take on the flavors of what ever dish is. The first time I fixed it for husband, I only used half of what recipe called for. He didn't mind eating it so now use full amount called for. A WW recipe I like, from the Tastier than Takeout cookbook, is Vegetable Pad Thai.

Joyce, sorry I can’t give you any info on the tofu. If you try it let us know how you like it. I have used the chicken sausage with peppers and onions, that is good and something we like. I should look for that again when I go shopping.
Ruth, sounds like a good plan to take Mara for the weekend so your DS can get some rest and make plans. Hope DIL can talk to her mom and tell her that a visit isn’t the best idea at this time. Enjoy your massage. Good thing you checked out the Amazon info, there are so many scams out there. I check my checking account and credit cards every few days to be on the lookout for problems.
Welcome Martha. How often do you use tofu? I haven’t tried it so don’t know much about it.
Hot and humid here today. Bill has an appointment with his dermatologist. He was there in May and about 3 weeks ago he got a funny bump on his shin. It was the same week he had his appointment with his cardiologist. The cardiologist said to get to the dermatologist but didn’t think it was malignant. Hopefully the doctor can remove it today I asked him if he wanted me to go with him and he said no hope he can drive home. If he can swim when he gets home we plan on going to our neighbors pool for a little while. That sure cools me down.

I don't use tofu often. I currently have a package in the fridge. Guess I better plan a meal around it.
