Pot luck was fun and I won the dreaded trivia contest prize, a singing stuffed Christmas cow, I have to keep it and bring it back next year! It moos a carol.
heading out to Greek dinner for DH....light thing for me as we had enough food for 80.. and only 20 there!
Anyone light candles for the Solstice longest night?

Hidy ho, Neighbors.
Liz, I am happy to hear you just elfed around today. That's what time off is for.
Linda, laughing about Micki and the electric blanket. So you got the prank prize, huh? Hope you enjoyed your Greek dinner.
Karen, I hope you got to being Miss Phoebe home today. I hope the chemo goes well and she is back to herself soon. How are you holding up? Does your SIL have your new address? You wouldn't want her coming around to bug you.
Kathy, it sounds like you are going to have a hot Christmas. Santa can wear his shorts and flip flops. Happy Christmas vacay.
Becky, how is the leg today?
I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and I am the proud owner of a Prilosec prescription of my very own. I have to take it every day for a month to see if it helps with the chest pain and on Jan 3 I go in for a gall bladder ultrasound.
Today I go my hair cut. I was 5 weeks overdue. It feels much better.
Have a good evening,

Thanks for the start, Chele. Hate that you lost your post. I thought Becky said she was able to save a draft, so maybe she needs to give us lessons because I haven't figured it out. Did Iggy go to the office today? I hope your weather has gotten warmer today. We are supposed to be in the 60s for Christmas. As far as we know, SIL does not know we have moved. I have been tempted to contact her ex-husband to see how he and the boys are doing but have resisted the urge. I said something to Dale this evening about sending something to his aunt and uncle (we don't know if they are in touch with SIL) and he said he can't deal with that right now, so I guess we won't.
Congrats on winning the pot luck trivia contest. Someties those legacy gifts can be the most fun. We had several of them where I worked in the 90s and they were very unique to say the least. One was a singing mounted trout and another was a pair of surfers on a surf board that was a little risque. Hope you enjoyed your Greek. I don't think we have a Greek restaurant anywhere near here, so I have to make my own if I want it. No candle lighting here. Did you?
Liz, I hope you are enjoying your time away from St. Crazy and your "elfing". I hope you managed to stay upright. Is it going to get warm enough to melt your snow and ice any time soon? Tell that hip of yours that it better start behaving. I bought my Flex as a result of my previous FitBit no longer wanting to hold a charge. Did you get a Flex 2? When do you go out of town? What kind of nibbles are you getting for DS's?
How was your last work day, Kathy? I'm glad you have your decorations up now.
Becky, was this a Curves day? Have your temperatures warmed up a bit?
I took Phoebe in this morning and it was a dicey trip due to freezing fog and black ice. There were multiple wrecks in Knoxville but I stayed off the interstates and only had minimal problems. They did surgery this afternoon and it was late enough that we did not get to pick her up. I talked to the surgeon around 6 pm and she said she was going to keep her on a high level of pain meds and if she was doing ok in the morning we could pick her up late morning and if she was still in need of more pain meds, it might be mid-afternoon. Given the way she bounced back from liver surgery, It wouldn't surprise me if they would tell us to come and get her when we get our update call between 7 and 8 a.m. Chemo in dogs is apparently not as bad as in humans. She will go once a week for a bolus injection and blood work (which we should be able to do the day before at our local vet if we want) and it should only take a couple of hours, so I will wait and bring her home. After the first 4 treatments, it will be every other week for a total of 8 treatments. I hope the weather will cooperate on the days we need to go so we can get this done and over with. I didn't sleep particularly well last night so I hope I can sleep tonight since we may have a rough night tomorrow night. I am concerned that they might not have gotten all the cancer this time around and if they feel it has spread quite a bit, I don't know if we will pursue aggressive treatment. I know we will lose her at some point but with all we have gone through this past year, I hope we can get one or two more good years with her.

Chele,Thanks for the start.
Linda,We have cattle but I would not like a cow mooing a carol.Enjoy your dinner.
Liz,I'm glad you got your elfing done today. We more or less did the same thing.Be careful on that snow and ice.My tummy is okay.I am having constipation problems again though.Yesterday was kinda tough at Curves b/c I hadn't been since last Friday. It was too cold for me to get out on Monday and I was Scooter sitting anyway.Today I worked out slower at Curves b/c of my leg and then walked this afternoon.Scooter stays in when it's too cold for her to stay outside but the last couple of days it's been warmer so she has enjoyed her yard time.Kit Kat is just happy when Scooter is outside. She is so funny when I start getting ready to leave. She starts playing with anything she can find on the floor like she's saying "mama please don't go."Try to relax tonight and enjoy your time off.
Chele,The leg didn't hurt after Curves but it hurt a little after my walk this afternoon. It doesn't hurt as bad tonight as it did last night when I couldn't even straighten it out.I think it's more my arthritic knee and the pain shoots down a little below my knee and it feels like the leg is hurting.Do they think you have acid reflux?I would think they would do the gallbladder ultrasound first but when I had to have mine removed my pain wasn't in my chest it was further down.
Karen,I hope Phoebe got to come home today.Hang in there!

Karen,You snuck in while I was posting. This board saves a draft for me.I sure don't know how to do it.It doesn't help a lot when Chrome poofs but if you are already on the board it usually saves a draft for me and I normally cut and paste it into my reply.I didn't go to Curves on Monday and they will be closed on Friday so I went yesterday, today and am going back tomorrow to get my 3 days in.Today was in the low 70's,then we will have a couple of cooler days and then the weather guessers are predicting a high in the mid 70's Christmas Day.I can totally handle that after the cold days we had. They are also saying Jan should be warmer than Dec.You remember TX weather.I'm sorry Phoebe couldn't come home today and I hope she doesn't have to have the real aggressive treatment.
