Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Joyce, thanks for starting us up this morning. I was glad to see the thread started. Hope you can pop back in later to let us know how you are doing. Take care.
I just heard the beeper on the dryer - I want to get the sheets back on our bed before it gets too hot. Very pleasant now, mid 70s and a nice breeze. I will be back later after getting some chores done.

Good morning,
I’m doing ok. I slept well during the night.
I have the week off from work. My brother says I’ll feel more normal once I go back to work. I’m still trying to process all that happened, the new meds, possible side effects, how things are going to be so different for a while - until I get used to things. I’m going to go to the pharmacy later today. I just picked up the meds yesterday on the way home from the hospital and didn’t want to keep DB waiting. I really want a consult on one of the meds. And I’ll do some grocery shopping to get some fresh fruits in the house. After today I’m going back to Instacart curbside pickups.
Laundry is also on today’s agenda. I need to keep busy.
I’ll bbl.

Good morning. So happy to see Joy starting us up today. Posted your update on the other CB site. They are all concerned for you and praying for your improved health and well being.
Lots of laundry here too. I brought home multiple baskets from DS/DIL - part of my de-cluttering at their house via remote control. I’m the remote control!!! Baby steps!!! DIL did ask me the other day if I’d changed laundry products because she had broken out in a rash. Told her yes & no. I put laundry in, pour in some of the urine enzyme (in the loads that need it); wash in cold water Tide with an extra rinse; then wash it with Dreft, also with an extra rinse; then dry with no scent Bounce. Most loads only get Dreft & Bounce. However, she is also out running in the woods and may have brushed up against something she is allergic to. She did say if it’s the laundry, she appreciates not smelling like urine and will just take some Benadryl!!!!
Working on our to do list. Our primary election ballots need doing; DH has some computer stuff he wants me to help him with and I have a list of chores I want his help with!
I’ll bbl also to check in. Need to move today’s 1st laundry load from washer to dryer.

Good Morning~ The last couple days, I have gotten up when light comes on. That hasn't happened in a looong time. Garden has been watered & weeded. Kale harvesting has been postponed until tomorrow. Laundry done yesterday will be thrown in dryer shortly. Joyce - Definitely take this week to adjust to all the changes. Would it be possible for you to work part-time before full-time? Glad you are going back to get consult on new med. Dottie - Hope your day goes well. Ruth - I am sure that it won't take long for DDIL to get on board with you helping them out with various things.
Will be fixing our supper in crockpot - Indonesian peanut chicken with rice noodles.
Here is a hot weather recipe: Quick Gazpacho 2-14.5 oz petite diced tomatoes 2 cc. reduced sodium tomato vegetable juice 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 English (seedless) cucumber, diced 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced * 1 small red onion, minced 1 T. balsamic vinegar 1 t. salt
Stir together all ingredients in large bowl. Refrigerate covered, until chilled, about 4 hours.
*I used some diced green chilies instead.
To make a smooth soup, put thru blender or food processor.
Recipe from WW Power Foods cookbook.
Have a good day! Hope to bbl. <3

Joyce, it will take some time but you seem to have a good plan in place so that is the important thing. The curbside pick-up will be good for now – take care.
Ruth, wow that is a lot of extra steps to get the urine out of DS and DIL clothes. I hope they appreciate that.
Martha, thanks for the Quick Gazpacho recipe, it looks good and easy. There will be some items of DS#2 that go straight to trash but a lot of it is electronic stuff and he might want that, although most of it is outdated. Good job on getting outside and getting the garden taken care of before it gets too warm.
I went this morning to get my hair cut – first time since before the pandemic started. The place (just a no appointment walk-in place) that I used to use hasn’t reopened but I did like the place I went to. Very clean and the stylist was very nice. Bill is cutting the grass, I will need to go out soon to spread the grass clippings in the back. I have 3 tomatoes almost ripe – getting excited for the first tomato. I have a little garden in the back yard – but because of all of the trees it is only in the sun a few hours a day so it takes a long time for the tomatoes. I put 4 plants on the south side of the house and it is one of those plants that have the tomatoes that are almost ripe. I have a great picture of one of the neighborhood hawks in my backyard, we know there is a pair and think there might be 2 pairs of hawks in the neighborhood.
