Good morning! Yep, another hot one on tap. I'm walking at 6 a.m. and it's already 77 degrees then. Like DebDoesWW said, we'll have this weather until winter! LOL! mac , I woke up thinking about your and Mr. Mac. Prayers and virtual hugs to both of you. Doing laundry and not much else. Have a good day, y'all! Oh yes, I'm IN. Trying to increase the water intake and cutting out the excess points. I can do this!

Almost lunch! I'm in. A bit more muggy here today. The weekend is bringing a hazy, humid, heatwave. Or as some call it, Houston standard lol It's that time of summer when our lawn guy skips a week here and there or he cuts the back but, not the front. He's great that way so we leave it up to him. It's grocery night, so a quick veggie omelet before a curbside pick-up. Thinking of you and DH macHope everyone has a good day!

We've actually been spared the HHH to a degree in my area, today and yesterday. I hope it's not too bad this year in places with that as a usual.
The DMV finally opened again in NJ, I believe starting this week. Though my registration and license are all recently renewed, my inspection sticker was way expired. Umm, October 2019. My husband only noticed in March of this year after the shutdown in my state. So today I decided to go. We had heard that the DMV had terrible lines, so I tried to prepare myself for them. When I got there, the main office did, indeed, have a long long line out of the building, but the inspection line was totally non-existent. I almost wondered if they were not yet open, but when I got to the place where we take "tickets", it looked open. As I rode around towards the entrance, there were ZERO cars waiting. In fact, when I pulled up a DMV staffer told me to pull into the "garage" before I even put together my paperwork (license, registration, insurance card, ticket). Anyone from NJ needing to get their car inspected might consider doing it soon. As expected, my car passed with flying colors. My husband's car needs a little work to make that happen. His inspection sticker is expired, too.
For anyone from NJ thinking about getting their car inspected, the inspection staff of course had gloves and masks on. I, of course, also had a mask on and was sure to also wear gloves. I thought the gloves were appropriate out of respect for the staff there, though it was a hassle pulling my license out of my wallet wearing them. Afterwards, I did disinfect the parts of my car that they touched with their hands.
I truly want the transition closer to "normal" to be successful in my state. I really do.

cyndee, that is interesting to hear how you get your car inspected, at the actual DMV. In Texas, you get your car inspected at any of the service stations, repair shops or dealerships that are certified by the state to do inspections. After finishing, the inspector sends something electronically into the state to show you passed and then you can renew your registration online and they mail you the correct sticker and receipt. I'm glad you completed it easily. Hope your DH can get his done too.

linda72,Yes, if you go there it is free in NJ. It's always a huge building that looks like a giant multi-lane garage (or car wash). I think there might still be some special (not all) service stations that can do the inspection in NJ, but I think usually people in NJ only go there if they also need their car fixed in order to actually pass. There would then be a fee for the inspection on top of that, I believe. Any others from NJ that know this to be wrong, let me know. In NJ, there is always the annual registration renewal (for a fee) and and every four years, a driver's license renewal (for a fee). The latter two can be done through the mail/website, but the license photo does need updating every eight years.

Drinking my water as I hydrate after finishing my PT stretches. Even walked around the house with the cane. Good way to start the day as I’m tracking every blte, lick and taste. I’m smiling as I focus on blue. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!
