Good morning friends. Very happy to report a great sleep complete with waking up refreshed. Carl also slept well. It's misting out which means Carl will not be mowing Jean's lawn today. I was hoping it would rain so that he would give himself a day to rest! He tends to push himself too hard.
Still on the fence on weather or not we hit Walmart today. I made it through yesterday nicely without the items that I needed LOL...so I just may postpone it again.
Haven't weighed in yet, so not sure what 'damage' pizza did LOL. To be continued......
Will CBL. Chicken is on the menu for tonight. I always balance the 'next day' well...and this is the beginning of another week.

Hey all and TGIF - though the days run together lately and Friday seems the same to me for the most part!
We woke up to rain which is a nice change but I hope it does not boost the high humidity when the heat wave arrives tomorrow. We will go to the Cape and I may stay an extra day again because that was nice last week and I can pretty much work from anywhere. I need to be back Tuesday for a dogging grooming appointment and a podiatry appointment on Wednesday. I have an ingrown toenail and usually the nail salon takes care of it, but I'm still skittish about a pedicure. Soon, I hope! I also am having a tooth problem for the past few days. A dull ache and Alleve seems to help but I need to see my dentist next week. It seems to be radiating up on that side of my face. Ugh. Large molar on the top right. (not sure which number - LOL) Plus I have an orientation at the new real estate office next week. It is either by ZOOM or in person. I may opt in person with social distancing since it's three hours long. I do NOT want to Zoom for three hours. Ugh.
Pam, I am glad you have time with the DGKs. YOu and your DH are such wonderful grandparents! THere's nothing like being around kids to lift the spirits. Have fun on the historical trip today. A beach trip soon sounds like fun, too. You are so consistently good with those walks despite the heat and humidity! A role model for me.
Ann, I know how you feel about Carl overdoing it. My DH looks so tired when he gets home at times. But, he seems to really enjoy the challenge of this work and I'd never pressure him to quit. He will know when it's time.
Pam, our DD applied with the program to teach and heard back that they are reviewing her qualifications, etc. She has been a second and third grade teacher and taught English abroad for over 5 years so I would think they'd like her background. We'll see. She is excited that she might be able to WFH. The lawyer is busy preparing the justification for her move away from CA motion. FIngers crossed. DD has no family, no support, no income there so I think she has a very good case for leaving. They left their beautiful Arizona home when her DH wanted to move to SF and she was 8 months pregnant at the time. Poor kid had to find a new doctor and deliver a baby with a couple weeks of moving. Stressful. She said as nice as her area is, it is very transient. People leave because they cannot afford to stay in such an astronomically expensive place.
I had a good session with uke teacher last night and we brainstormed ideas for her to keep teaching us and earn a bit of money. She will charge $5 for an hour lesson - very reasonable - and teach two nights a week instead of 7. She'll do some library online singalongs so we'll have those, too.
Sue, have a good day. I think your HHH weather is coming here soooooon!

Judy sending warm hugs your way for the ingrown toenail and the toothache. Both are so annoying and painful! Nice that you are planning to go to the Cape. Should we get the humidity, at least it's cooler by the ocean. Enjoy Praying really had that DD gets the job. That is wonderful that your teacher is only charging $5.00 an hour! That's more than reasonable. I know how much you look forward to it. I'm enjoying the cool weather. Wanted to take a walk to get the mail, but it's drizzling a little too heavy for that. Carl left to pick it up via the buggy Should it clear then I'll walk...but nothing like the marathon of steps I got yesterday. It was well over 18000! I am now going to bathe my feet in epsom salt and warm water and then apply a nice soothing cream. I learned my lesson. And to think that was just in house walking as I only went out once later in the day with Carl and LuLa and we didn't walk all that long. I'll need new carpeting if this keeps up LOL. My day is planned and tracked. Had my 'turkish breakfast' and lunch will be lo chili over lo rice I have plenty of cherries to nibble on along with hummus and petite baby carrots and my FF Greek yogurt. Supper is a baked potato grilled chicken and mixed veggies. Also hoping that the rain doesn't kick up the humidity! Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I am just now getting online for my personal stuff. Earlier this morning, DH asked me to help him print an invoice for an order he has coming via UPS today. It used to be so easy, but since we had my computer upgraded to Windows 10, everything seems to be a fur ball! We hadn’t logged onto the business ‘identity’ (I guess since we had Windows 10 installed?) and it would have freaked him out completely had he tried it alone. It went into a new web server and asked all kinds of questions. I seem to recall that it did that once to me on our personal ‘identity’ but it was quite a while ago so I forgot. Anyway, I discovered way too many emails on the business ‘identity’ so I began deleting them, then recalled I’d have to go on the online server and erase them there as well. That took half of my morning. Then I started the same process on my personal email which I had cleaned up until the 1st of this year previously, but there was still a TON! That took the rest of my morning. Geez ……
Anyway, we had a fabulous time with “the kids” last night. Red Lobster was the first place we ever ate with them (many years ago) and was our go-to place for a number of years once or twice a month. After that we branched out and tried some new things, but RL stayed at the top of the list. Their dad one time said they had been out for a day and he offered to stop at RL for dinner to which they all said indignantly “not without Mike & Sue” and that became a favorite story for all of us. So the location was very much in our comfort zone and the restaurant was very clean, well managed, and service was great. We had great conversation and lots of laughter and lots of remembering and catching up both.
Ann ~ Glad you got to enjoy your pizza. You are right, of course, that it is never a good idea to try and eat around a craving – or even a taste. I’m glad I finally learned that! We also had a lovely evening. We got home from dinner a little after 8 and went outside to sit on the porch and it was low 70’s and dry and just the slightest breeze. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening! Also DH brought home a slice of Steve’s Deli cheesecake which he cut in half and we took half to the youngest “kid” who is my cheesecake eating buddy. She loves it! He set my piece back in the fridge and I had it on the porch.
Pam ~ I also tracked on MFP for quite a while as well as in a WW paper tracker. I do recall that there was a lot more things to enter because of the 0 point foods on WW. I did like being able to track fat, sodium, etc., but once I got a handle on it, I was able to let it go (however reluctantly). Then for a while I tracked on WW paper and on the website before I got enough confidence in the website to let the paper tracker go. That was about when I put the mobile app on my phone and could track away from home and scan products in the store. Enjoy your time with your DGK!! I would think that would be a welcome diversion at this time. Sorry you can’t go to the camp, but they’ll enjoy it next time!
Judy ~ It is great that you can work from home. I think the plans for your school reopening sounds like someone has really done their homework and put a lot of thought into it. We talked with “the kids” last night as two of them are still in college. The middle son has just his student teaching requirement to fulfill in order to graduate – but we don’t know if the Grand Rapids schools will be open or not. So he feels like his life is on hold. His sister would prefer in class learning because she finished up last semester online at home and didn’t feel like it was something she could really benefit from. So much indecision. Hope you have a fabulous time at the Cape, and especially enjoy your “extra” day!! You have a busy week after you get back home. I also watch for signs of overdoing on my DH’s part, but he also loves what he does and can’t imagine life without it. He DID however decided to “take today off” but he’s out there, so we’ll see how much he does.
We have the deployment party tomorrow and I am really looking forward to seeing them. We have such a long history with our soldier and feel such a kinship with him. Years ago he was our neighbor who I met because of his dog who had befriended me. Anyway, it’s a heart-warming story. I asked DH again if he was sure he was comfortable going and he said “absolutely”. They have a house on a very large parcel of land and at previous gatherings, people are spread all around and the hostess has already told us all the food will come prepackaged in servings sizes and we will all be wearing masks in addition to being outdoors. We also discussed that we could meet ‘n greet ‘n eat and then be on our way if we wanted to. I am really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we are predicted to have a very HHH day, so it may be a short visit for us. They have put in an in-ground pool since we were there last, but we aren’t swimmers.
I am a bit heavy-headed today so I think I’ll continue on with my bed-changing and laundry and otherwise just take it easy. I’ll check back in to see how all of you are doing.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue I hear you loud and clear. I just had 'updates' done and I can't find a darn thing! TG for DH and his patience or you would see my desktop in your backyard LOL. Glad the situation is under control How nice to go to the deployment party at your neighbors. LOL to your 'canine friend'. I am not a swimmer but Carl used to love it. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad so that you can at least enjoy a short visit. Cheese cake enjoyed on the patio with a nice breeze....that's a little piece of heaven So happy your dinner at Red Lobster with the 'kids' was so enjoyable. Decided to blow off Walmart. I'm going to enjoy another nice laid back day at home. Yup, I'm a true homebody at heart Well, I'm off to enjoy another cup of coffee. dec
