Aldi had mangos for 49 cents so I stocked up with several.
They are SO good but I am noticing that they make my throat feel pinchie. Lips feel little tender too.
Have you ever had this issue?
Fresh pineapple also bothers my mouth.
I love them both but not their side effects.

Jennifer , I've never noticed that with mangos or pineapple. I wonder if you have some sensitivity or mild allergy. I hope you will mention this to your doctor if it persists. You might want to go easy on those mangos, but I know how yummy they are. I have one that I should eat soon, that is plenty ripe. I'm not allergic to seafood, to my knowledge, but I remember during a trip to Maine and Nova Scotia that I was chowing down on scallops and other shellfish like you wouldn't believe. Normally, they don't bother me since I eat them infrequently and in normal amounts. However, towards the end of the trip I was getting little blisters all over my face. The only unique thing was all of the shellfish I ate. When I returned home and stopped eating it, the blisters went away. I do eat a little now and then, but definitely not for several consecutive lunches and dinners.

cyndee interesting, it sounds like a mild allergy or sensitivity. Mine is not severe I'd feel silly mentioning it to my dr. I just wondered if anyone else evrr noticed this. I also wonder if being tropical fruit has anything to do with it.
