Linda, so sorry to hear about Micki's diagnosis. That's a lot to go through for all of you. Glad to hear he's doing better today. I have farmer's market envy here too. We don't have one nearby and the ones that are farther out get really crowded.
Becky, we're supposed to be dry today and tomorrow and then more rain is coming for the rest of the week. Glad you at least got a quick shower.
Chele, I think it is really more the visiting that DM misses. DS called me yesterday from DM's house and was chuckling since she was working on getting the wifi back to normal, DBIL was in the bathroom replacing the toilet flapper, and DM's neighbor was out in the yard fixing a couple of sprinkler heads! Everything is fixed now and I'm delivering some groceries to her tomorrow. Enjoy your haircut!
Karen, DM has been seeing cardinals, hummingbirds and butterflies in the backyard, so she does have some wildlife to watch. Those rascally squirrels come in sometimes too and eat her hibiscus flowers. I've seen them do it and they send the petals flying. It must be a sweet treat for them. They have trouble getting to the flowers since the branches won't hold them up, so they go for the ones closer to the ground. They'll also shake the branches to try and get any loose flowers to fall. They are determined little rascals. Unbelievable about the kids in the lake.
Liz, hope you're having a nice weekend.

Karen I wish the same thing about our fur babies.Scooter has something going on just inside her ear.I don't know if she got bit or what. She doesn't act like it bothers her so who knows.Yesterday the foot was better but today it hurts more.It seems like the pain is more in the outside ankle and heel today.I do the ice but would have to unplug the floor fan to alternate with heat.My niece seems to be doing fine. She post pics on FB of them going various places. She deserves some time away.We got up around 98-99 today and of course humid so you get the picture.Yes Scooter is enjoying her fan.We thought we were going to save some money by getting her a 6 month supply of generic heartgard and a flea pill that would last for 3 months. They said one she probably wouldn't like as well as the others.Well she didn't like either one so Kenneth ground them in the pill grinder and I stirred it in her Frosty Paws ice cream and nope. She didn't want anything to do with that ice cream and she has never refused her ice cream before. It did have a smell to it and I wouldn't have wanted to eat it.I got most of the flea pill in her and we got a different generic heartgard and got her to chew on most of that.I guess back to the other heartgard next month.
Linda Could Micki have any of the doggy ice creams?I have found Frosty Paws and Dogster in the small 1/2 cup sizes.
Kathy I wish we could get the quick almost daily showers you have.Kenneth hasn't even had to mow the yard for awhile now because it's not growing. Our friend brought out 2 more watermelons today and he said their cucumbers and tomatoes have all burned up because of the heat and no rain.
