Linda, Micki seems to be responding well to his treatment. Great news anout the bloodwork. Changing from a night owl to a lark will take some time. I know it would be hard changing from a lark to a night owl. Worry about a loved one always takes my appetite away and I am a stress eater as well. I am glad people are wearing masks there now. It is also good news that nephew is doing well and rest of family ok. It would be a lot easier to do ribbons than use the handheld device I have to make zoodles. Zucchini Parmesan pie sounds good. I hope you got more sleep last night.
Becky, I hope the pattern does not hold true and your foot is better today. I hope the new bike is better than the old. Ours is still okay. I prefer walking outdoors but between the heat and allergies this year I haven’t done much if it.
Kathy, the squirrels sound like they could be in a Geico commercial. Yup, I wouldn’t want to mess with a bobcat. Sharp claws and teeth with a nasty temperament is bad news for hikers. How did the produce turn out? Did you get a good picker? I wish we would get some rain. Sunday everyone had storms around us and we got 5 minutes of rain.
Karen, did you hear from the RE agent? How was the board meeting? Have a good trip to AVL.
Denise, Liz, stay safe at work.
My allergies seem worse this year and if I spend anytime with the plants the next day there is heck to pay. I don’t want take too many medications since I have been dealing with this eye issue, so I haven’t been taking the allergy meds. I guess they really do work or there is more pollen this year. I woke up with a sore throat from sinus drainage and Iggy is concerned it is more than allergies. I am not since I was out in the yard yesterday picking cherry tomatoes and green beans. Everyone is so nervous anytime someone coughs or sneezes. We are all goong to become hypochondriacs. 😜

moonriver, Denise, how fun! I used to do the flower arranging, too, with artificial flowers. I had to stop because everyone got some as presents. I wear my mask everywhere as well except in the car. I have seen people driving alone wearing masks in the car, but I figured they were picking up or dropping off others. It is only 80° but the real feel is 90°. Enjoy the flower arranging.

Chele, I could definitely see the squirrels in a Geico commercial. They can be pests, but they're cute and very determined. The shopper turned out to be a couple, which is fairly common. They were very fast and the produce looks good. I took DM's groceries over to her yesterday and she was very happy to see her share of a Haagen Dazs BOGO. We got one of their new light ice creams to try. It has good ingredients, just less of the sugar and fat. The Ben & Jerry light ice cream has disappeared from our stores, so I was glad to see another option.
We haven't gotten any rain today so far, but it's overcast right now. We get hit with rain from the Gulf and the Atlantic, so more chances of rain than a lot of places. More chances of hurricanes too, but I don't want to think about that! I know, it's scary now if we get any minor symptoms that we wouldn't have worried about before. Hope the sore throat is gone by now and the allergies aren't too bad.
Denise, the flower arranging class sounds like a lot of fun. I hadn't heard of one that sends you the flowers and vase, but what a great idea! Becky, hope the podiatrist can help with your foot.

Chele , my SIL in upstate Ny is having a bad allergy year too...giving her asthma and she cannot go outside.
Kathy..hoping for quiet hurricane season.
Got to sleep before 12:30...got out my old pillow at 12:15 Got the new one six weeks ago and I think it just doesn't work for me. Save it for guests. DH up at 4:50. $&&$#. He fed Micki at 5, I got myself some Ovaltine since I have been waking with upset tummy. They got back and I did the shot and went to bed..couldn't sleep until 6:30, but it was an improvement. We are not sure about shot and walk right away.
Much more humid with 105 degrees, but it is better. It rained..somewhere above us, but disappeared. Did a little yard work, laundry, my archive clippings, and puttered. Said The cook was on strike today. So he is fetching a Mexican. The cook did chicken for Micki to eat because we spoiled him with people food last nine years at dinner. No more pasta for him!
Before we were stuck at hime I was already tired of day after day of being the one coming up with some plan for dinner And cooking. But at least I got to eat out a couple times a week. Some days now it is three meals, but mostly I leave him to breakfast and lunch on his own.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Haven't heard from the RE agent but got a cancellation on the power, so I guess that will work. I will call the water department tomorrow and get that canceled effective at the end of the billing cycle (they don't do it any other time). Trip to AVL was long (at least longer than I've been doing) and pretty uneventful except for one incident. I was driving along one of the mountain roads and saw what I thought were 3 large dogs playing near the road. As I'm saying, "you doggies stay out of the road", I realized they were 3 fawns that still had their spots. No sign of Mama. One of them came running across the road and I was able to swerve into the other lane (fortunately, no oncoming traffic) and it ran into the passenger's side but stayed upright. The pick up truck behind me also managed to avoid them and I didn't see any carcasses on the way home so hopefully we were all pretty much unscathed. It did wipe a little dirt off the car. I really need to hit the car wash on the way home from my hair cut tomorrow. I'm with you on the status of allergies this year. I got a homeopathic option today and I'll see if that works for me. Do you have a fever? If not, you're probably right that it's just allergies. It's a good thing I have so many masks because I went through about half a dozen today and will need 2 or 3 for tomorrow and at least one or two for Thursday. Last night's board meeting was rushed because we only had about 35 minute and we needed more. We may have to bite the bullet and get a paid Zoom account because it looks like we may be having virtual meetings for the rest of the year and perhaps into next year. Did you see Sarah Cooper on Deadline Whitehouse this afternoon?
Linda, that's great about your nephew recovering. Great that he has no residual effects and that the rest of the family is fine. I can totally sympathesize on your pillow situation. I have one now that is made of shredded foam and when it starts to flatten, I stick it in the dryer for 20 minutes on high to fluff it back up. I sustained a pretty serious neck injury when I was in my late 20s and tended to go through pillows pretty quickly until this one. Can you gradually change Micki's schedule to eat later in the morning and then give him dinner later as well? When I think of Ovaltine, I think of A Christmas Story and the Little Annie decoder Ralphie got for sending in his Ovaltine labels. 105 is almost cool for you. I can relate to the disappearing rain. We seem to be getting that a lot lately.
How was the podiatrist visit, Becky? Did you get a diagnosis? Good luck at PT tomorrow.
Denise, DM was big into flower arranging for years. In fact, she made the arrangements for our wedding, including my bouquet which I still have in one of my china cabinets. She was a good accountant, but if flower arranging had paid better, I think she would have liked to have switched careers. You may not be an expert now, but remember you are only starting out. Give yourself time. I know what you mean about how hot masks can be. I made some new ones with 100% cotton outside and swimsuit fabric inside and they are quite a bit more comfortable. Don't know how many germs they might stop however. I have one on except in the car.
Did you used to watch Sex & the City, Kathy? In one episode, they referred to squirrels as rats in cuter outfits. Speaking of wildlife, Dale saw a skunk outside the back door this morning and it didn't even move when he threw a can of Off! at it. I sprayed it with a squirt gun from the deck and it waddled off into the woods. We haven't seen one of them here before so I hope it's the last one. I haven't checked the available B&J's but will have to see if the light stuff is no longer available here. Hope the Haagen Dazs is good. Let me know. I'm not surprised the female shoppers select better produce than the male shoppers. Were you able to get everything on your order? No thank you on bobcats. We have coyotes here and I don't like them much either.
Liz, I hope you're having a good week and things are going well at the new building.
I'm tired after my long day. All good with the car and we were talking about getting new tires in the fall but they should be good til at least spring.

Karen, wow on the fawns running out and one hitting your car! I'm glad all of you are okay. We have wildlife crossing signs all over the place, but I've had close calls with deer running out in front of me. I remember the comment about squirrels as rats in cuter outfits, lol. They have those big brown eyes too. Oh no on the skunk!! I had a large order and only one substitution, which is a new record. I'll let you know on the ice cream. I miss the B&J's light Cherry Garcia, so I'm hoping this is as good.
Linda, my mom and I have both decided that we're tired of our own cooking. It gets old having to do it every day and every meal. That is rough to all of the sudden have to get up so early. (coming from another night owl)

Thanks for the start Chele.I don't think the foot would have been worse but I decided to walk outside for the first time since last Monday and that did it in which prompted the trip to the podiatrist.I prefer walking outside in nice weather but for now I guess I will back off.How is your eye doing?
Thanks Kathy.I have tendinitis from overuse.
Karen Are you using disposable masks or do you use a different cloth mask for every place you go?I have tendinitis due to overuse.I have been getting in a lot of steps and he wants me to cut back to 5000 steps a day for awhile.I can house walk or recumbent bike but no outside walking.Since the bike is on it's last legs while I'm waiting for the new one I will have to cut back on the time I use it in a workout. He prescribed a steroid pack to start tomorrow at breakfast since it may affect my sleep.I go back in 10 days unless the pain is gone.

Becky, tendinitis is nasty. No wonder it hurts. It also takes time to heal, and walking to much will keep it mad!
Wow on the deer ! glad you are ok.
euww. On the skunk.
Micki was practically Chewing my feet waiting just until five for dinner tonight. No way that is going much past 5:30!
