Good morning friends. Woke up feeling refreshed without pain. All good. Today will make an effort to hit Walmart and Tractor Supply and be done with the shopping for a bit.
Awesome job on your weight loss, Judy! You do have a lot on your plate. Hopefully the drama with SIL will ease up so that you have more time to do the things that YOU WANT to do for you. Good luck with your doctor appointment.
Last night we did get to enjoy the screen room. It cooled down enough to make it enjoyable. Happy about that.
Started reading "The Things You Save In A Fire" by Katherine Center and enjoying it.
Wishing all a great fun OP day and will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday!! We had quite a cool-down overnight and woke to temps in the mid 60's (heavenly!). We slept with the fan in the open window and then opened all the doors and windows when we got up. The fresh air is such a treat!!
Ann ~ Glad you're feeling better. Hope you find everything you want while shopping. We also got to enjoy some outdoor time last evening. Such a treat!! We came in early because of a TV show we wanted to watch.
Judy ~ CONGRATS on the WL!! It does always 'catch up' if we just stick with it. You are doing an awesome job of that! Glad the news from the attorney was on the positive side. Your DD is so fortunate to have you and your great positive attitude. I agree that everything will work out. We don't know quite how as yet, but it will. So sorry to hear about your friend. Yes, Rick was only 57 which seems distressingly young!!
Pam ~ I am finding that I manage to keep busy, but sometimes in the morning the day stretches out before me. I have decided not to look at it that way. The old saying "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time" comes to mind. I don't have to fill my whole day in my head, I just meander along through it, and sure enough I fill it.
Last evening we had a light healthy supper, and then I went for a double walk before settling in for the evening. Though it was still in the 80's, the humidity was down so it was doable. This morning it is very cool so I will definitely get out and walk!! I wouldn't mind getting extra in today before it heats up again.
DH cooked his famous EB with cheese for breakfast with a fruit bowl and one slice of toast (Dave's for me) and we enjoyed it very much. I ended up eating his Red Lobster leftovers for lunch yesterday and then used the mac 'n cheese and coleslaw from the fridge for supper, which helped clean out the fridge. I have thawed out a package of center cut loin pork chops for supper. They are presently marinating in FF Zesty Italian dressing. When they're all seasoned and ready, I will cook them in the Instant Pot to make them fall-apart tender and then I can wash it and put it away before supper. I have corn-on-the-cob ready to cook as well as a white bean/grape tomato/red onion salad for tonight along with NSA applesauce. I had the last of the red cherries from the previous week for a snack yesterday, then DH started the new bag when he got home. It makes my heart sing to finish up all our fruit.
OK, off to walk now and then I'll be back. BBL. Make a great day!!

HI all,
Tuesday, muggy Tuesday! I am already back from the podiatrist who took care of my ingrown toenail, trimmed and checked up my feet and gave me some good advice for my very dry feet. He also gave me recommendations for both good shoes and orthotics. I have prescription orthotics from about 10 years ago but I find them too stiff and don't use them much. He told me about a brand he loves and I'll check those out. I also have an option for surgery for this ingrown toenail, but he also said that having a good pedicure is another alternative to avoid surgery so I do believe I will go back to that treat and skip the fingernails, but get the toenails done every month or so. I also dropped D&D off at the spa for their day of grooming. :-) THey will look AND smell heavenly when I get them and they were so excited to go.
While I was in the waiting room at the doctor's I spied a close co-worker there with her husband! We chatted from a distance and said we'd try to have a socially distanced luncheon sometime soon near campus. Small world. It was so good to see her and she was knitting as she always is. She's in my knitting group and is so talented. Works with tiny little yarn that looks like thread to me! :-)
Off to do some work. THank you all for such strong support. We are far from out of the woods, but I do feel a little better. I hope all our combined prayers push this guy to be fair. We are not looking to "take him to the cleaners" by any means!! But, for God's sake, be reasonable.
Ann, glad you will get those errands done. I'm going to try to squeeze in one more online real estate course so that I can move that needle along. I need 12 hours to renew in September and I don't want to wait till the last minute. I have done a couple so far.
TTFN and waving to Pam, too. Sue, please send that heavenly weather along to us. Your salads always sounds so scrumptious! Judy

Sue happy you and DH got to enjoy the great outdoors and a tv program. Win win. Your supper sounds great. Nice that you will have the IP all cleaned and put away before the meal. Gotta love that. Enjoy you walk. It was cooler when I woke up, now that the sun is out it's pretty hot out there. Far to hot for this chick to go out in it. I have been puttering around the house and we enjoyed another cup of coffee. In a bit we'll take LuLa across the street then head on out to run our errands. Judy so happy that you got the toenail fixed and a good recommendation for dry feet. Praying that the shoes and orthotics work well for you. I have a pedicure every 5 weeks as I can't 'see' to cut my toenails. I've tried in the past and it's a disaster. Plus, Gladys does such a wonderful job not to mention she is just down the street from us. I'm still having the manicures done as my fingernails are such a mess. I need the strength of the gel polish and the stuff that I bought to do it myself just wasn't worth the effort. Nice that you got to chat with a co-worker while at the doctor's. I pray that SIL will be reasonable. Keep us posted. Have chili mixed with a sausage link that we will have tonight for supper. I'm thinking we'll have it over pasta Need my pasta fix in any shape or form LOL. Need to get a move on. Hi Pam!

Back from Tractor Supply and Walmart. Was able to get most of what was on the Walmart list. We may go to the bigger Walmart tomorrow. Just not up to it now. Why people can't go up and down the aisles as marked is beyond me. It's really NOT rocket science!!!! Thanks for letting me vent. Now it's COFFEE TIME as I relax my ragged nerves

Hello friends! Our birthday celebration for DGD last evening was a success. Lots of laughter, especially as Jude did his imitation of me losing it in the McDonald's drive thru when they messed up our order, lol. The weather was overcast so the t-ball game was bearable. Those little kids are so darn cute! I slept well, but had to get up twice to go to the bathroom. I had two big glasses of water at DD's to help me skip a second slice of pizza. Oh well! I got my butt out of bed at 6:30 and by 7:00 Debbie and I were walking. We got in just shy of 3 miles at our best pace yet, in the cooler early morning air, thanks to last evening's cloudiness. I was still soaked with sweat as it was humid, but easier to bear in the early morning sunlight than later. After walking, I attended a zoom hospice team meeting and then went outdoors and puttered around with plants, trimming some, sprinkling some with Sevin dust to hopefully kill whatever is chewing holes in the leaves, weeding a little. I am mostly trying to spend time NOT in the lazyboy. I also re-booted laundry, which didn't get finished yesterday and made sure to get things put away immediately. Breakfast was fruit, yogurt and seeds. Lunch was a sandwich, bell pepper slices and dill pickles. Dinner will be a boiled dinner with lots of veggies and a little sausage, filling but not too point-y. Judy - AWESOME WL!!!! If you keep to plan long enough, your body finally HAS to give up the weight. You are inspiring me. I have been the same weight(within .3 oz) for 10 of the past 14 days. I doubt I will lose as much as you, but even a lb. would be great. I am somewhat envious of all your activities, except for the lawyer stuff. I generally have to search to find something to fill the hours. This is the pineapple corer I purchased: tinyurl.com/yyzxd4cw. Ann - I have read 2 of Katherine Center's books and enjoyed both, though the one you are reading was the best one. I am also a fan of pedicures. My hands are no longer strong enough to clip toenails and it is hard to get the correct angle, so I let the experts do it. DSIS and I used to go together when we were both down at the camp and her DH called it "getting our hooves trimmed", lol. Sue - You are right about taking things one day at a time and one hour at a time when necessary. If I dwell on possibly another year in pandemic mode, I just get depressed, yet the past 3 months have managed to pass just fine. I am SO jealous of your 60 degree temps. Please go out, face south and blow some to me.

Well ..... I walked two times around this morning which was very rewarding. Then I came home and started prepping supper. I have marinated four pork chops and then seasoned with Brown Sugar Bourbon seasoning. I cooked them in the IP and put them on a cutting board to wait for supper. I have also washed four ears of corn and put in a big pot with a little water to go in the m/w later. The rest of our supper is in the fridge waiting (white bean/grape tomato salad and NSA applesauce).
It stayed mild enough in here all day that just the big ceiling fan was enough cooling. Then I decided to go for a second walk and it had really heated up!! It's only about 80 dg but the sun is HOT! I went twice around again, so if I go later it will be extra - and if not, I'm done. We want to sit outdoors for a bit tonight, and we want to watch AGT, so we'll have to "schedule" our time. ("So much to do, so little time") Now I had to turn on the A/C because I came back all hot and sweaty!
I drank a Premier Chocolate Protein Shake for lunch while I was cooking, and I think now it will be some fruit - perhaps my red seedless grapes! I may also grab a handful of low-fat pretzels to go with??
Ann ~ Those people who simply cannot follow the arrows on the floor also gripe my DH to no end!! It isn't rocket science.... but it is a passive aggressive maneuver, methinks.
Later......

So happy that you enjoyed the bday celebrations yesterday, Pam. OH I bet those kids are cute as buttons That is awesome that you got your walk in. Yup, the downside of water drinking is waking up during the night Oh well..at least it kept you from that second piece! LMAO to getting your hooves trimmed. That put a smile on my face and I laughed out loud. Carl heard me and said you'll have to tell me later as he is on the phone LOL. Your meals sound very good and healthy. Sue kudos for taking 2 walks. I haven't been out yet to walk outdoors. The shopping wore me out. Your meals sound good as well. I wish I were satisfied with 'drinking a meal' but unless I'm chewing, I'm just not satisfied. I do make a smoothie very now and again but not with milk as I don't want to waste the points LOL......Some people can fill up on those but I am not one of them. By the way, I wanted to get more Rainer cherries and they were out. The produce manager was there and I asked him and he said they will be in at the end of the week. He brought me over to the red cherries from Washington and said these are very good. I went in back and came out and handed me one to try. They were awesome I was very happy and came home with some. When we got home and put it all away I was in the mood for cherry tomatoes and Carl a banana. Went to where we keep them and nope, not there. Went into the car to see if we forgot the bag, nope, not there. I checked the slip thinking that perhaps I only thought I bought them and yes there they were. Carl went back as they are very good about that sort of thing. He went to the same cashier and she had them set to one side. The manager came over and handed Carl a 2.00 off coupon to use at a later time. That was so nice of him to do that, and greatly appreciated. That's one of the reasons why we love shopping there. Everyone has such a great attitude and are so helpful. It's getting pretty hot here also. I'm hoping that when the sun sets it will cool off so that we can enjoy sitting in the screen room later tonight. I'd also like to get an outdoor walk in. Will try to pop in later

It's only 75 here this evening, thanks to a late afternoon shower which cooled things off. We sat on the swing for a while, but DD3 called and then the neighbor had on loud, heavy metal music, so we gave it up and came inside. DD3 is agonizing over keeping Madison home for kindergarten, but after talking with 2 teachers about it, they both said "if you can keep her home, do it". To ease her disappointment, they are going to let her get school supplies and a backpack and will set up a special area for her to have a desk and "school stuff". They also reassured her she will not be the only kid learning online this year. Things are still up in the air for DD1's kids, but they will almost surely have at least partial online learning. My heart aches for them! I have the very last load of laundry in and met my step goal for the day, so I'm feeling pretty good. Hope you all have a good evening and a restful night's sleep!

Sorry about the heavy metal noise Pam. That plain stinks.
I'm sure the school stuff and work area will help Madison.
Took a short walk and now about ready to hit the screen room.
Sweet dreams all.

Hi again all, Finished my uke lesson, walked the hounds -lol- and I have one eye in a Hulu show called Trust Me. It has a great British actress who I’ve seen in Broadchurch and so far, so good. Pam, your family sounds a lot like mine. There is nothing that my children came funnier than imitating one of my comedic moments! I think I provide entertainment for the family and I tell myself they’re laughing with me not at me! Ha ha! I’m glad that the party was a fun success. It’s nice to feel normal and do fun things. Also, you are a rock star walker in heat! I find I get hungry at night so I’m fighting through that with water as I know I won’t starve! I found some Stur in the market -coconut pineapple. I think you gave me that suggestion. And thanks again for the link to the pineapple corer.
My poor DD would so love to come visit us in August. But, our state has a required two week quarantine for everybody arriving here unless they come from New England, New York and New Jersey. I really can’t think of a safe way for her to visit for a week with the kids without my DH being jeopardized. She understands but it’s still hard. Plus the only week she can visit will be the week that my son and daughter-in-law and baby are planning to come up from New Jersey for a week. They are hyper vigilant and nervous about Covid so it really wouldn’t be fair to them either. Oh well, maybe we’ll have to wait until September. So many families are in this dilemma.
Ann, I’m thrilled to be told I must have regular pedicures! I’m going to find a new good place. I was going to a large place and am thinking I’ll look for a smaller place. Thinking about my pink sparkly toes already. I will have to check out that author. I checked out the shoes the doctor ordered or not should I get any anytime soon. They are rubber thong type shoes are called Oofos and they are A little speedy. I’d rather wait till fall to get the kind of shoes I’ll need then. The inserts are called Powersteps and are very good, so I might get those.
Sue, thanks so much for all the supportive words and cheerleading in WL. That goes for all of you. Your friendships mean so much to me. During this Covid time especially, you are all a lifeline! ❤️ Your walking is great, too. Please send that cooler weather our way. Your meals sounded great and you make good use of the Instant Pot. I don’t use mine much in summer but I’m tempted hearing your recipes.
Night all!
