Let's do a daily post with just ONE THING we are grateful for. With everything that is going on, sometimes it is hard to remember to focus on the good things too. It can be funny, silly, serious, whatever, no judgements here.
A good night's sleep. ZzzzzZzzz

Air conditioning. It will probably be my mantra for the rest of the month.

First sound I heard when I woke at 4 a.m. was thunder rumbling to the west of me --- traveling farther west. It rumbled as it moved slowly for almost 2 hours. I enjoyed it ...

LASIK - I can see when I wake up. (Downside is I can see the soap scum in the shower.)

A shout out for air conditioning because we are again in the 90's. Also appreciation for a well done errand this morning. It's nice to have an excuse to get out of the house. borntexan, We are hoping for 80's over the weekend.

That is normally our lows during this time.

Walking at my mall. While I'm still trying to walk early in the mornings (6:15) in my neighborhood, it's too muggy. My local mall won't let the walkers in until 10 a.m. (most stores open at 11) but it's so nice to walk in an air conditioned space. I can walk twice as far and don't need a shower immediately afterwards. I'm enjoying window shopping and don't have an urge to buy anything.

linda72 , The mall walking sounds nice. I would be looking for something to eat or drink.

bbbearsmom, nothing is open at the mall when I go so I'm not tempted to buy anything. The chocolate cookie stand is closed and I'm not sure it is open at all. The fast food places look like they might open at 11-12 and only half of the food court has chairs to sit in. Truthfully, it looks a little depressing but I still enjoy the more pleasurable walking. Most of the clothes in the windows look like summer but I'm certainly not in the market for anything new. I'll be interested to see if they change out to "back to school" clothes in August. The shoe stores appear to have lots of stock and many sales signs. All stores have signs about wearing masks so I would feel okay to try on shoes (if I needed any)
