I'm IN. Cloudy and windy morning but no rain from the first Hurricane of the year: Hannah. Looks like the storm has turned and will miss the Houston area. I would have liked a little rain but I'm willing to skip it and avoid a bad storm.
The grands are coming over later this morning and will spend the night. We'll be having fajitas for dinner and will play board games. DGD13 loves to reorganize closets and pantries so I'll make sure to allow her that honor!
Have a good day, y'all!

linda72, I am glad you were spared the hurricane. There are too many other challenges out there now. I woke up excited about the day, but my husband is still sleeping in. I want to make today a special extra self care day. We will also go for a nice walk at a park my husband recently discovered. We're really digging this daily exercise!

Good morning. Glad you were spared Linda
Looking forward to a wonderful day with friends. There will be lots of food, games and pool time. I started off by biking to feed the ferals and got in an hour ride before attending a VW. I was happy to see a favorite leader as the regular leader is back to meetings IRL.

Our local studio started back with IRL workshops but the VW didn't happen. Wonder what's up with that.

Morning all and thank you for the start MJ, do I dare ask...nothing on tap for the day?!? *faints* are you okay? Should we call someone?!? 🤣🤣 Looks like the storm has turned and will miss the Houston area. I would have liked a little rain but I'm willing to skip it and avoid a bad storm. AMEN! Especially one that starts with an “H”! Your granddaughter should ask around and hire herself out. I am still trying to get organized and would gladly hire someone like her. How fun cyndee it sounds like your husband is a great support system for you. Enjoy your day susiq25679 ! ((( mac))) Have a great day friends! ☕️☕️☕️

Thanks for asking DebDoesWW. I think she is doing better. She had this big bandage over her head except for the unaffected ear.I walked by the other recliner where she was laying and started petting her and I noticed something about her ear.The bandage was off the ear.I think she shook her ears hard enough where it slipped down. They had wanted it to stay on through tomorrow or as long as it would stay. She is very tender in the back side of the ear as she whines and snapped at me to let me know to leave it alone. She didn't bite.It was more of a back off sign.LOL.Kenneth went ahead and cut the rest of it off and she seems much happier anyway. No more look at what they did to me mama looks. She doesn't scratch it so I'm thinking she will leave it alone.I'm keeping her in one more day to let it heal before we let her out on Monday for any length of time. She gets under the porch where it's sandy. She still hasn't touched her dry dog food but she has eaten her dog treats and of course human food.Sometimes she will wait 2-3 days of not eating her food and then she is starving for it.I think the steroids make her drink so much water and that leads to accidents if we don't take her out right away. She goes back in 2 weeks for an ear check but I think the stitches have to stay in 3-4 weeks. She is happy to stay inside with the cats for now and every once in awhile she will chase one so she is doing better.
