.It is now 113. Will be 115 next two days. My patio says 107. They are complaining in England about 91.6!
this is worse than June. This has humidity although a lot burns off by 3. Even dog wants back in fast even in shade.

Linda, I complain about 90° weather. 115° would do me in. I was laughing at your “embarrassing” garage and your brother knowing where to go if they run out.
Kathy, the lightening in Florida always seemed to me to be more fierce than what we get here. Last night was pretty fierce here. We had a few electrical surges and I was grateful for our whole house surge protector, because we had about 4 surges in 30 minutes. I might have to start saving for a generator.

Linda, that is scorching hot! We don't get over 100 that often thankfully.
Chele, we used to lose power a lot when I was growing up, but I think the newer underground lines have helped. The last time we lost power was after Hurricane Matthew and I was worried about the generators some of my neighbors were using. I could smell fumes on my back porch which was really annoying since it was so hot in the house. I don't think the houses are far enough apart here for the generators.

Chele, I hope the node will continue to heal. Can you use a non-steroidal eye drop if you need something to relieve the grittiness or pain? I also was not aware of glaucoma being hereditary. Good thing you had a chauffeur. It would have been nice to have let you know one was recommended. What kind of dressing to you use on the cucumber, tomato, and avocado salad? I have the first 2 ingredients fresh, or will when the cukes get a little more size on them. How was the DLM sushi? Jealous!! Maytag blue cheese? Is that a local brand? I thought they only made appliances. It's good that Iggy is so handy. Let's just say I don't have those skills here. Seafood gumbo sounds good, Kathy. What kind of seafood did your DF put in it? Sorry the ice cream wasn't as good as anticipated. Guess I'll stick with B&J's non-dairy. It's not low in fat but it's tasty. We hope it was just one more form. The kicker is that we email a copy to the lawyer's office and they can't even send a reply that says they received it. Everything should be there by tomorrow before Noon, so perhaps it really will be over. Your ICU capacity sounds pretty good. You know what they say about insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I've thought about that a lot over the past few months. Dr. Birx was in Nashville yesterday and she recommended a statewide mask mandate and closing the bars, neither of which the governor plans to do. Why bring in an expert if you just ignore their recommendations? I actually enjoy proofing papers. It keeps my mind sharp, even just being undergrad level courses that she's taking. They are also reflection papers so I feel like I'm getting to know her a little better. Have your storms moved through? We had those intense lightning storms on the weekend and they are scary, especially for my little fur child who hates loud noises anyway. There was one that had to be just about on top of us. Becky, OH NOOOOOO on the fire ants!! Did you manage to get rid of them? We have some in our master gardener garden and were just discussing them today because we need to get rid of them before the fair, even though we won't have volunteers in the garden. They attacked one of our junior volunteers who is about 12 years old and we don't want that happening again. I'm sorry you are back to the old bike, but it's not worth risking injury. It's good that you're keeping busy. That would be nice for the other house to be just a memory, Linda. We got our final power bill electronically today and are expecting a water bill shortly. I hope the new owners will be very happy there. Maybe the design will work better for them. The "I ain't following no rules" people aren't just out west. They're all around me. If it wasn't for loving the lake and our house, we probably wouldn't be here. But, like you said, where would we go that's any better? If hospitalizations are dropping, logic says that deaths in the hospital will as well. But that won't do anything about the deaths that happen outside the hospitals. You ALL seem to be settling into the new routine. It's great that you're getting more sleep and are getting comfortable with giving his shots. When do you take him back to the vet? Hope y'all enjoyed your Costco chicken. I know the food pantry and homeless shelter will appreciate the donations. You're right that they really need that kind of stuff more right now. Thanks for the election chart. I'll probably get my ballot returned the day after I get it just to be sure. YIKES on the heat! A lot of the English don't have AC, so that's why they are complaining about the heat. Dale has a co-worker in NH where they have had several days in the 90s and they are just sweltering. The cheesecake was a nice treat and I also had a rather large piece of sea bass, so a double treat.

.one reason we are keeping stocked up is worry about violence after the election if Trump loses. Those folks think Demicrats are traitors and vermin, nit Americans with different opinions. Few days ago someone threw an incendiary bomb into Phx Democratic headquarters which is now totally destroyed.P...files,computers, electronics, historical stuff. It was two days before a virtual convention fundraiser. Timothy mcVay came from AZ, and the 9/12 guys learned to fly in Mesa.

Linda That is horrible about the bomb. The whole world seems to be going to he** in a handbasket these days.
I'm not convinced the whole problem is the Republicans either.Democrats protested a long while after Trump was elected. If he loses I pray his followers won't create more violence.Friends of Kenneth are so radical it almost makes me not to want vote period.I'm not a die hard Trump fan but I can't vote for Biden in good faith either. If I weren't throwing my vote away I probably wouldn't vote this time around.Another election without a real good choice.

Not my first choice...but Trump (And the corrupted people in charge like DeVos)has to go. ITAly has been noted for govt. corruption , but they stopped the pandemic. I also wish we did not have such old people running things or running for positions. I have been lucky not to know real extremists on either side.
peoole can protest peacefully all they want. But I sure wish. They could separate out the people using it to do damage like that Hells Angels guy with the umbrella that set off the violence in MN. It is happening like that in Portland and Seattle now.
