Kathy, the carnivore really puts in the andouille and chicken and it would have taken me an a lomg time to pick it all out. š
Linda, are you getting those shelves organized today? I had to inventory the freezer for Iggyās meat and poultry items and the frozen fish.
Becky, whatās are you up to today? How is Scooter doing? Is the foot feeling any better?
Liz, New York is still in the news. That so called drive in concert in the Hamptons sure went downhill fast.
Karen, any news on the house or getting the asphalt fixed? Lovely vegetables in your avatar. I picked a bunch if cherry tomatoes and am thinking if making a cucumber, tomato, avocado salad.
The doctor thinks the node may take awhile to heal. It looks better bit has not gone away. I am not having any pain or gritty feeling or changes in vision. He has taken me off the steroid drops because the pressure in my eye is high and that is one of the side effects of the drops. I have to go back in 2 weeks to check the eye pressure. If you remember last year I had to be checked for glaucoma and it is genetic. This doc said if I donāt have it now I have a high possibility of eventually getting it because DM had it. I am still on the anti inflammatory but down to twice a day instead of three. And so the story continues...
Iggy drove me and I am glad he did. The nurse put a numbing drop in my left eye to check the pressure. The opthamologist checks glaucoma differently than the opticianās office.there I had to do all sorts of eye sight tests. Today it was a camera like lens placed on the eye ball, hence the numbing drops. They make your eyeball feel weird and gummy. Iggy drove us to DLM to pick up soMe sushi for lunch. We also got some Maytag blue cheese and some Brie.
Iggy currently is replacing the dryer vent outside as it has corroded after 25 years. He is reverting to handyman status after all his years of traveling and not having the time to do a good job.

Karen, thanks for the start. I'm hoping your Tuesday is better than your Monday. Chele, my dad used to make a good seafood gumbo, so I'd just take the sausage out, much to his horror! Sorry for all the eye doctor woes, but at least the node is improving. I have the same issue with the steroid drops and pressure, but that seems to be their only solution for a lot of eye problems. I hate the numbing drops and that gummy feeling too. Hope the rest of your week is better. Nice to have your own handyman!
It's dark and gloomy here. I hear thunder and see rain clouds, but we haven't gotten any rain here yet. At least I haven't had to turn the sprinklers on for awhile. Hope everyone has a good day.

Linda, I wish we had a way to drop off our ballots without having to mail them. We mailed Dale's this morning at the PO so we didn't have to stick it in our unsecured mailbox. I hope you got some sleep last night. Yes, TP doesn't have an expiration date, so stock up while you can. I heard today that disinfectant wipes are still in short supply because the material they are made from is also used in some PPE items. What kind of things have you seen that we need to start stocking up on now? Good idea to get the inventory straight. I hope you got that done today, since you were so tired yesterday.
How was the eye doctor visit, Chele? Did you do any shopping while you were in that part of town? We bought the NC house in 1993 and it was like Roseanne Rosannadanna said. Part of it was just the usual home ownership stuff. But some of it was unique to the house due to the way it was built and some quirky things the original owners just had to have that never quite worked for us. Would you believe we got a message from the attorney late yesterday that a form was missing? Of course it had to be one that needed notarized. Tree guys were working next door so we loaded up Sweet Potato and she took a road trip with us to the CU and FedEx. She was none too happy on the trip into town, with crying, moaning, baying, and otherwise expressing her displeasure. She was pretty good for the trip home and has been sleeping ever since. I guess all that noise-making wore her out. We think all the paperwork is now completed and the house is no longer our problem. Better not be because Dale canceled the insurance on it this morning. Gate was an easy fix. Sometimes it happens when we have to leave it open for a long period of time.
Kathy, do you still have rain or is it just dark and gloomy? We had dark skies on our drive and got a little rain, but not enough to keep us from having to water if we don't get more this afternoon. I heard thunder a couple of minutes ago, so we're hopeful. LOL on picking out the sausage. My meat-sensitive system would still react to it. Did you hear why the mail is so slow? It's not volume but Trump's new postmaster general cutting overtime and telling the postmasters to have mail sit rather than take care of it like they used to do. We have noticed it taking a lot longer to get things we were expecting in a lot of cases and sometimes a package with tracking will be at the local post office for a couple of days before delivery. I heard a couple of docs from So. FL this morning talking about how things won't be getting any better there covid-wise any time soon. I also heard this morning from a local friend that Dollywood has quit taking reservations because attendance is so low they don't need them.
You're so right about 2020 being the gift that keeps on giving, Becky. I think we could all do with less of these gifts for the rest of the year. How are things with the new bike? What are you and Kenneth doing now that you don't have any more PT appointments to work around? How are the at-home exercises going?
Denise, is this a day off for you? How are things with the garden?
Is the new building coming along, Liz? How are you feeling? WOW!! on the Hampton party. I hope most of them were out-of-staters so they can take their virus back home with them.
Busy day so far, a lot of it about the fair and we will not be doing anything in person this year. We just don't have enough volunteers willing and able. So now we have to figure out how to secure our demonstration garden so we won't have any damage and will be able to keep anyone from getting swarmed by fire ants that have taken up residence in the mulch pile. This afternoon I'm proofing a paper. DN#2's baby mama (the one he let get away but she did much better--he hasn't) is back in school working on her teaching degree and I told her I would proof her papers for her. I like her better than my nephew and she's doing a great job raising their boys. So, it's my way of helping them to have a better life. Cheesecake for dessert tonight. We are celebrating and hopefully everything is done with the house for real this time.

Thanks for the start Karen.I hope today is better than yesterday.
Chele I want your 80's.It's 98 and humid here.I went in to feed the cats from their stash in my bathroom and found fire ants. They were in the car yesterday so I sprayed and we went in the PU yesterday. So we had to throw out their cat food and went to Wally for food and Kenneth gets these free buckets from their bakery after they empty them out and they found a couple of lids to go with them.Scooter is doing better. For the first time today she stayed outside while we went to Elgin. My foot was feeling better yesterday but I took my last Prednisone yesterday and today my foot is hurting more.Go figure.I have a follow up visit Thursday that I guess I will keep.He said if there was no pain to cancel it but I feel like I better keep it.How did your appointment go today?I didn't know glaucoma was genetic.I hope being off the drops won't make your eye hurt more.
Kathy Just errands today.Scooter is better and my foot was better until I took the last Prednisone. You have been lucky to get all that rain. It's 100 and humid right now.We have a small chance of showers later but the sun is out right now.
Karen I'm glad the gate was an easy fix.I know you will be glad with the sale on the house is finally complete. We moved the new bike down the hall and will wait for our friend to get a free weekend and see what he can do.We brought the old one back in and am using it until the other one is fixed.I hurt my knee and foot on it yesterday. The at home stretches are going fine. Some I do once a day, some 2 x day and some 3 x day. They are all hip stretches which is supposed to correct my walking eventually. We still have plenty to do.

Karen, they just had to get you with one more form! We're getting heavy rain and the lightning is really scary at the moment. One strike sounded really close and I'm surprised it didn't knock anything out. Yes, I heard about Trump's sabotage of the mail and saw it in person a few days ago. I saw the mail truck near the neighborhood entrance when I was coming home, but they never got to my street. I guess they put in their normal hours and left due to no overtime. In the past, they would've kept delivering no matter how late it was. My mom also didn't get mail delivered one day last week. We can drop off our ballots at early voting locations, but I've never really worried about mailing it before. I mail it early so I can track when they receive it and have enough time to request another one if they don't get it. I haven't seen a delay in getting packages yet once they ship out, so I guess I've been lucky so far. I have seen some delays where they don't ship the packages as quickly as they used to. The Central FL numbers have actually been falling the past four weeks. We have about 23% of our ICU beds available. They traced the outbreak to crowds that went to the bars when they reopened and our mayor is fighting them on reopening again. How many times are we going to repeat the same mistakes? They can have outside service or go to a restaurant model where they have separation between seats, but we're just not ready to allow people to pack into a place with no masks or social distancing. I saw that about the concert in the Hamptons. People are crazy. That's great that you're helping out with proofing papers for your DN's baby mama! Enjoy that cheesecake. You're earned it!
Becky, I'm glad Scooter is doing better. Hopefully, your friend can get the bike working the way it's supposed to. I wish I could send you some of this rain. We are lucky since it starts to get really hot and then a storm pops up. It's only 75 right now! I just wish they didn't have so much lightning in them. It's starting to calm down now.
Final review on the Haagen-Dazs HEAVEN ice cream. I like B&J's light Cherry Garcia a lot better. This was good chocolate ice cream, but didn't have much of the caramel salt flavor and didn't have anything else in it. They have other flavors though, so they might be better.

Becky, oh no, on the fire ants. The buckets sure will help keep them out of the cat food. Good idea to keep the podiatrist appointment. I hope you get a quick diagnosis and fix on the new bike. I'm hoping the dryness and gritty feeling donāt come back without the drops. I asked if glaucoma was genetic since my DM had it, because I wasnāt sure. The storms really brought a cool front for us.
Kathy, I knew you would know about the numbing drops. I will have to get Iggy to make seafood gumbo without the sausage.

Chele, sorry the node has taken up squatter's rights..glad it at least doesn't bother you.
Karen fingers crossed you never have to hear about the house again!
Becky, i sure hope friend can fix the bike. Bob ordered a pedal thing from Costco you use sitting in a chair..still in box after a week. Got to get to that.
Kathy, I think people are actually worse there than here...which is bad. But then, where do I go? I guess the rural small towns have that Western ā I ain't following no rulesā attitude. But the cities did the mask thing as soon as guv let them. They still have no authority to close stuff, but Technically I think they can under an emergency situation.
Deaths are still up but rates of hospitalization are coming down since mask wearing has been ongoing. Most of the constant positives are younger stupid people having parties since bars are closed.
my stress is down a bit with more sleep and getting a routine on the shots. Good thing he never minds shots. Knock on wood. family seeming ok, but I worry about dsil. Looked up allergy levels where she is upstate NY..medium grasses but very high mold! I think you can get allergy shots for that.
Bob wakes me when they leave for the walk. I get my brain up in gear ,..enough to do the shot correctly. drink a little Ovaltine While I wait. Do the shot and we all go back to bed!
Today we were up by 8:30 and off to Costco while it was still senior hours. Not many people and everything restocked. While Bib went to order new reading glasses, I got another TP pack of 30(garage getting embarrassing, but brother said āoh I know where to go if we run outā). Got the other stuff we needed including a roasted chicken and mashed potatoes for tonight. by then he was done.
we both were dripping by the time we loaded the car, stopped at outside bank ATM and unloaded the car. I really cannot remember it being so hot with so much humidity in years. Even the dog walk at five was yucky. Bleeccchhh. 111 later today.
went through the pantry and pulled out expired recently or about to stuff for the city office for social services in the library building. Added some of the excess we have stock up on. There is stocking up and then there is buying at COstco. Somebody needs it now. Put all the samples and travel size personal stuff into ziplock for the homeless...we sure are Not going anywhere. Box is on my little fold-up dolly to go into car tomorrow morning.
I write pull dates on all the canned vegetBles and stuff like catsup And canned meats I had in kitchen cabinet, organized them and loved them to a couple shelves in the spare room closet. The stuff from the shelves had to be rethought and stashed.
Costco has FDA approved hand sanitizer Box of 24 little bottles, two packs of large pump kind, half gallon of refill. Also spray disinfecting cleaner. Good to see that. Wonder if you can order it from them online!
Ok...in the chair with my news clippings and iPad. Kind of tired!
hmm forgot to write an inventory...but it shouldn't be hard since it is now organized.
