I'm IN.
💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
Apparently there was a hellacious storm overnight. I didn't notice.
We're heading up to Cedar Crest this morning. Russ has a podiatrist appointment at 10:45 at the Medical Center on campus. It's a short ride on his scooter if we go outdoors to get from the Greenleaf front door to the chapel. It's a long, LONG trip if we stay indoors the whole way.
I spoke briefly with the mover yesterday so we're adding picture-taking of the "blue-tagged" furniture to today's list of things to get done. There's also a 30-page application packet that I was sent yesterday; I skimmed it and we may try to get through it today (several places for Russ' - or Doreen's - signature). I'd like to get the log-ins for the two remaining credit cards so we can monitor them. And of course there are other financial things that still are not settled, since I am still looking for contact information. But I think we must also dig into clearing out desk (and other) drawers, and of course the closet.
Coffee... ☕☕☕... headache tabs...
🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸

TGIF!!
I got to watch the grand yesterday while my son went to the dentist. <3 He's such a fun and good baby! We also did few pictures of him for his mama's birthday (today). It was rainy and icky out, but we got a few good ones! <3
Going to go to yoga this morning then pick up groceries. Maybe run into the dollar store to grab a few cards I need send out! I have been slacking!
I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

TGIF!! MJ, what a massive job you and Toots are doing. I hope you're able to complete all the financial things and clean out the desk and closets. This reminds me to purge things from my files and recommit to having good notes for DD for the future.
The roofers were here 13 hours yesterday! Wow, I am sure they were tired but they got a lot done. However, I realize now how big our roof is since it's a one-story ranch style home with a steep roof. They still have another full day at least to complete the job. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate again today. Watching them work makes me appreciate their skill.
I'm meeting 2 of my friends for lunch. There are a few places open (with lots of spacing) so we'll meet at a salad place.
Waving 'hi' to all!

My father was supposed to finally return home today from an assisted living facility, after eight months there. Yet again, it didn't happen. The one good thing is that my sister managed to get them to agree to let us take him to some crucial doctor appointments in August and September. It was if they were jailing him before saying he couldn't go unless it was an "emergency". Well, this has become an emergency. My sister's empowered assertiveness has allowed her to do things she's rarely done in her life. She was always the opposite of this. I am in awe of her, lately, as are others in the family. My dad was basically having severe panic attacks, literally hiding in the facility, and he turned off his cell phone. He has serious mental health issues that have not been properly addressed in all of this time, though no fault of my siblings or me. Again the pandemic has been a jail, of sorts. Of course I agree with all precautions and measures, as do my siblings, but if people on the outside can go to certain doctors, it's time for my father to. There are zero cases of covid-19 at his facility, though there had been in past months. My state (NJ) is doing quite well right now after having had extreme numbers in past months. I hope it won't happen, but there could be a second wave, if we're not careful, so getting Dad to doctors asap is crucial.
I talked to my brother yesterday for the first time since March. I'm so glad. He's very worried about his heart problems, and his own doctor appointments. He's also sad that a bear discovered his honey bee hives and ruined a few of them. He says the bear is actually most attracted to the larvae, but the honey sure is a pleasant "condiment". Yum, yum. I almost find that humorous, but wouldn't say that to my brother. He's a serious honey bee keeper, which is an important thing. Unfortunately, the bear now knows about them and may hang around more.
I'm thinking about temporarily consuming 100 calories fewer per day this week than my designated allowance. Only because I would LOVE to meet my interim goal by next Friday. That is to reach the next lower 10 lb bracket (meaning 160s vs. 170s). I want that sooooooo bad! Then I'll set a new interim goal. I'll obviously exercise more this week, as well.

cyndee, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and the problems at his facility. I hope your sister is able to "free" him so that he can go to the doctor. I know of others who are unable to leave their AL facility and it's tragic. (((Hugs)))

Good nearly noon! I'm in. All caught up and looking forward to some downtime this weekend. Last night's thunderstorm gave us quite a light and sound show but, the cats were not amused at all. We did our usual curbside groceries after dinner and found that disinfecting wipes are still only available to walk-in shoppers. It's pizza night here. Hope everyone has a great weekend! diva49, Oy! more hugs. cyndee, hope your dad's situation improves. So sorry. pamthomas46 Thinking of you and hoping you're okay. Hope the PT is coming along and reducing the pain.

Morning all. Never mind it is almost afternoon so I'll just say howdy. MJ good luck today. mac we are still thinking of you and here when you need us. cyndee I hope you can get your dad the help it sounds like he desperately needs. I am surprised they don't have a psychiatrist on staff at least for assessments and med adjustments. Loved your bear story, I feel bad for your brother but I did kind of giggle and had thoughts of Pooh and Yogi. 🐻 I am in, have a great day everyone!! ☕️☕️☕️

Thanks, linda72 , doordie50 , and DebDoesWW , ! DebDoesWW, yes, I was also thinking about Winnie. As for a psychiatrist at the facility, they do have a psychiatric nurse practitioner that is managing his medications a bit, but he really needs a more detailed psychiatric evaluation. My father also needs to go to a neurologist for a detailed evaluation. His GP believes he has dementia. We need to know for sure. The psychiatric and cognitive issues need to be addressed together. A team. Also, given my father's psychiatric and cognitive states, it is necessary for one or more of my siblings (or me) to provide feedback. My father hides, lies, denies, misleads and forgets, very often.

Good morning. Quiet day at home yesterday. Stomach issues kept me from overeating which was a good thing. Slept well. This morning I’m accompanying dh to eye doctor for his annual check up. Tomorrow morning I’ll sleep in! Yay! Tracking has started as well as drinking water. Cane walking through the clinic is keeping me moving.
Have a great day everyone.
