I'm sorry I haven't been around to post, encourage, commiserate and enjoy life with you all. Hoping that life returns to some kind of normal soon. Today is day one million, 5 hundred thousand, and thirty six of this *&^%$&(*^# headache. I'm nearly at the end of my rope. Some days are better than others but some part of the headache is there EVERY SINGLE DAY! (head pain/nausea/ringing in ears/dizziness/irritability!!/sensitivity to light/noise/smells....UGH!!) I've exhausted my repertoire of various medications and reliefs. None are long lasting. I'm ultra-bored since I'm mostly house-bound and unable to do much reading or even internet. Really fun to be with (aren't you glad you aren't Mr. Pbnj???) Oh, and my regular doctor hasn't a clue what to do next (more pills?) My REAL headache doctor is now in Florida after going to jail for mail fraud (I haven't forgiven him...) And thanks to the meds, I'm up 6 pounds (NOT that I will go anywhere near a WW official scale anyway). Today I am starting a detox flush---tons of water and eliminating all flour/sugar products in hopes of maybe flushing something out of my system. (this worked once before---I crave salt, sugar and carbs when I'm not nauseous so this should be fun.) If anyone has any other suggestions, cures, options they'd like to suggest I'm willing to consider. I will try anything before the guillotine I ordered from Amazon arrives....

So sorry you're suffering. I know nothing about it from personal experience, but what about Botox injections? I've seen some reporting on it where it has helped some.

Oh Pat I am so sorry :/ I know this is the absolute last thing you want to hear, but when I have an intractable one they have had to do 3 days of Solu-Medrol (Methylprednisolone, IV prednisone I think the standard dose is 100 for migraines) to break it. Time to find a new neurologist. Also be really careful if you are using anything for pain as those can cause rebound headaches and really don't do anything at this point anyway.
I know migraines cause carb cravings, but when I eliminate them I find it helps. That might be something to try. Also definitely magnesium but you are probably already doing that. A stack of reusable ice bags rotated throughout the day, held on top of head with a stretchy headband.
Hang in there sweetie it will go away although I know at this point it feels like it won't. ((((Pat)))

DebDoesWW I get a massive and immediate and intensive headache with methylprednisone! Unfortunately have had to take it for other ailments but I avoid it if I can because the pain is excruciating ! Nothing but time seems to make these monsters go away. I'm putting on my sunglasses and going to try to do a 10 minutes walk in our cul-de-sac. I need the fresh air and vitamin D. Living in my dark cave with the vampires has made me very pale.
