Let's do a daily post with just ONE THING we are grateful for. With everything that is going on, sometimes it is hard to remember to focus on the good things too. It can be funny, silly, serious, whatever, no judgments here.
A Reuben sandwich. I have the corned beef going in the crock pot, thanks to that food thread I have been craving them. 🤣

Visiting a memory ---
My first ever soda fountain drink was a limeade at Fasullo Drugs in Westwego, La. I was in the fourth grade.
As much as I love lemon I have never learned to like lemonade.
This morning I am sipping on a limeade. And it brings back memories of that fourth grader, sucking her straw and just enjoying the taste.
Just thought I would share ...

On that theme
Seeing my neighbors Crepe Myrtle trees beginning to bloom - a type has been introduced into NJ a few years ago.
Crepe Myrtles are all over Charleston, SC where I grew up. This morning I thought of my home town when I saw them.

The sounds of wildlife. So far this morning I've heard a hawk, crows, quail, a scolding squirrel, jays, and numerous other birds that I cannot identify by sound. Nature's symphony.

The small grocery store I go to had food in the dairy and deli sections, because of the power outage the big store I went to on Friday didn't have food in dairy and deli.

A delicious lunch of Ballpark smoked turkey breast hotdogs on a light hotdog bun with sour kraut and spicy mustard with a side of watermelon chunis. Summer fun!
