Recognize Thinking Mistakes
Common Mistakes 1.All or Nothing Thinking-I'm either 100% on my diet or I'm not. 2.Negative Fortune Telling-Since I didn't lose weight this week I won't ever lose weight or since I gave into my craving I might as well always give into it because I can't stop the craving. 3.Overly Positive Fortune Telling-It's okay if I just guestimate the food I'm craving instead of weighing or measuring and I'll still lose weight. 4.Emotional Reasoning-I gave into that slice of(fill in the blank)and now I feel like a failure so I must be a failure. 5.Mind Reading-My family or friends will be upset if I don't eat my favorite(fill in the blank)they really know I like. 6.Self Deluding Thinking-If nobody sees me eating this candy bar(or your favorite indulgence)it doesn't count. 7.Unhelpful Rules-I can't waste food or make my family eat something just because I'm on a diet. 8.Justification-I deserve to eat this because I'm stressed out or it's okay to eat this because it's free. 9.Exaggerated Thinking-I just can't stand this craving or I just have no willpower.
Can you see yourself in any of these thinking mistakes now or in the past?

Okay, I can do exaggerated thinking when it comes to cravings and give in. Am working on that, ideally I would use the 7-Question technique to stop myself from indulging. I don't know exactly which type of thinking this is but with portion creep I rationalize that it is okay and really won't matter. Don't seem to have a problem with all-or-nothing thinking when it comes to weigh management but it does affect me in other areas. Have to remind myself that some is better than none to get me to do things sometimes.

Over positive fortune telling. Justification on why it's okay....
