Good morning all. I won't mention the heat/humidity. It's August in Houston so I know what to expect.

I walked early this morning and then to the grocery store for some staples. I'm home before it hit 90 degrees so I hope to stay inside for the rest of the day.

I started reading a new book yesterday and after 2 chapters, I realized I have already read the book! I need to find another book.

I will be watching Nascar with DH this afternoon.

Now, where is my coffee?

Good afternoon. I'm in.

It's 70 and cloudy following overnight rain. It's only going up to 72 for the high today. Sorry for our Texas peeps

I had such a great time last night at DB#1's place. We laughed so much, my sides hurt. Dinner was delicious - filet mignon with a compound bourbon butter, red potato, spinach salad. We all stayed outside - they even used the grill for steamed clams and corn on the cob. My SIL got a lemon meringue pie with a candle for dessert. With everything going on, we still haven't done a group weekend on the boat yet this season. I'm so grateful for last night. The whole thing was really special.

I woke to more flowers and goodies this morning and found a few packages were left on the front porch by my GFs. Lotions and potions to look and feel youthful. lol
