I'm IN.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
Today is Moving Day, AKA the conclusion of Phase TWO. We have lists. LOTS of lists. And we will do the best that we can.
YM last night was good. The DDR March (in October; I presented my preliminary plan last week) has taken on a much bigger "presence" in our township. I can still see how it will work, and will expand the proposal into a full plan for the event.
Must get going, since we need to be there early. Movers arrive at 9:30 AM.
Coffee... βββ... headache tabs... breakfast...
π¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦
*for those that are new here and lurking π€
This is an open daily check in thread to help keep our heads in the game. There are no rules, just hop on in and say hi. If you are new to our site or have been just been lurking, feel free to introduce yourself!

Good morning all. diva49, good luck today. I hope the move goes smoothly and Russ gets settled in to his new home. 1st day of virtual school for the grands was interesting. One grand had a district laptop and it had issues getting logged into the district network. Luckily, DSIL was home and was able to help. Once logged on, the grands sat at their computers from 8:30-4 with only a break for lunch. Most of the teachers just had introductions, no real learning happening on the first day. I'm bringing my yoga mat today and DGD13 and I are going to have a yoga session during her advisory class. I really hope this experiment in virtual learning improves but at the moment, I'm hoping the students can attend school September 8. They are miss seeing their friends although virtual classes cuts down on bullying and misbehaving in class. I am glad I can help the parents by staying with them; many students are home all day alone. Have a good day, friends.

Happy Thursday! So far it has been a STRESSFUL week with my new grad students and getting them into the "system" to get paid this year! OMG! I get it's new territory and our BO is doing everything remotely, but one would think they would send detailed instructions on HOW to complete the employment paperwork! I feel bad for my grads and am doing everything I can to help (I don't work in the BO so my role it to just e-mail the BO people and say FIX THIS! HELP THEM! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!)! It usually works. I think they get tired of me. Son and grandson are going to stop by later today. <3 makes my heart happy! They faced time me the other day and everytime they do, my son always has the phone on GS face and when I answer and say "HI BABY!" he just smiles! I melts my heart! diva49, good luck today! linda72, I'm glad you can be there to help with the grands! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

Everyone needs a little CH giving them motivational speech with their coffee. π€£ Good luck today linda72 love the yoga idea. neen you are just too cool, you care so much for your grad students β€οΈ you are a very special lady. We are coming up on 36 hours now and the little one is doing great. I was actually worried that she had gone for 2 days without any nourishment but she is eating well and seems to be doing well for her young age. Have a great day, I am in. βοΈβοΈβοΈ

linda, they made them stay logged in 8:30 to 4pm?? wow that's a full work day. even if no actual instruction was happening that's so long. our first week is pretty simple so far. 2 zoom meetings with their teachers that lasted all of 20 minutes each. a packet of homework that we picked up from the drop off/pick up loop at school so that they can work on it independently. the usual beginning of year type of work to assess where the students levels are.
one kid cannot get her zoom to unmute so she can participate. that's frustrating. we will work on it again today and if it still doesn't work i'll have to ask the district for a new laptop or see if the zoom meetings can at least happen from my macbook.

finreporter you have probably already tried this but can you load zoom on your laptop and see if it works with hers? That way you can at least narrow down where the issue is when you try and troubleshoot. (If it works (unmutes) when you and her zoom then you will know the issue isn't on her computer. Or if each girl has a computer they can try that way.)
