I'm IN. ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π Phase TWO of the Oh, BROTHER! Project concluded at 4 PM Friday. At 8:30 PM I got an unofficial call from an aide who'd had a lot of shifts with him, and whose GF is the aide for him in AL: his drinking has already become a matter of concern . Yup. He's "all theirs" now. And we are moving on to Phase THREE: the emptying of the independent living apartment (including the 12'x14' room with the elaborately-constructed, multi-level model railroading layout). That has a FIRM end-date of 9/18, when the insurance expires on that space (30-day "bridge" with old & new locations). We did some preliminary stuff yesterday, as we were wrapping up Phase TWO, and this weekend we will draw up our action plans (Plans A, B, C, & <OMG>). The Kressling has running-training with another YM at 8 AM so he slept over last night. It was good to have him in the house when we got home from CC yesterday - a tall, tanned, huggable dose of NORMAL (well, as normal as an almost-15-year-old can be). We were even happy to forego the prime rib dinner we'd planned, to spend time with him. Coffee... βββ... ibuprofen... π¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all!
π¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ππ»ππ¦ *for those that are new here and lurking π€
This is an open daily check in thread to help keep our heads in the game. There are no rules, just hop on in and say hi. If you are new to our site or have been just been lurking, feel free to introduce yourself!

Good morning. diva49, I hope Russ' drinking doesn't cause enough problems that he is "evicted". As you said, he is all theirs now. I'm glad you were able to finish Phase 2; I hope the rest goes smoothly. What will happen to the model trains? I know they're valuable; will Russ allow it to be sold? DH and I went to Wal-Mart early this morning to get supplies before the storms get into the Gulf. We got there at 6:30 and forgot that WM doesn't open now until 7. Yikes! We went through the Whataburger drive through and got DH a Taquito and coffee and he had breakfast while we waited for WM to open. I was surprised at the line waiting to get in and don't know if that is typical or if the people had the same idea as us. Regardless, we got what we needed and the store seemed well stocked. No plans for the day but DH and I are planning on a seafood restaurant for dinner tonight. I made reservations and the restaurant keeps everyone socially distant. I'm looking forward to eating something different that I didn't have to plan and cook. Sending out positive energy to everyone today!

What will happen to the model trains? I know they're valuable; will Russ allow it to be sold? Russ has donated the trains and accessories to the Cedar Crest Model Railroading Club. Beginning next week, we will set up a schedule so they can come into the apartment's Train Room and take what they want from there. Then we will have the structures (platforms built with 2x4s and plywood, etc.) dismantled and discarded. That room is the priority. The five storage cages (think 4x4x4 cubes) will not be addressed until the apartment's done, since the rental fees for them will simply attach to the AL bill. He will derive no economic benefit from any of it, even if the MRRC sells some of the stuff off. On Monday, after my postponed/rescheduled π-mammo/US at 8 AM, we'll go up and set up our layout for "this is what YOU work on / this is what WE work on".

Every time there's a WTF moment, the answer is: 2020. I get the feeling that will be the answer for many years lol.

Morning all/ afternoon whatever time/day it is I have lost count π
Glad phase 2 is done Diva!
Enjoy your dinner Linda. βΊοΈ Just got a text from Entergy about potential outages starting Monday. I haven't seen the latest news and am afraid to look now. I am just glad the lake is 2 feet below normal so no matter what hits us it will be less likely that they will do any releases (that is where the flooding comes from). π€
Have a great day everyone! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

Global warming and climate change. Lovely. This is why we need companies to start operating more towards a clean basis

MJ - Yes, it's their problem now. Hopefully no one there will enable him. Enjoy dinner Linda. We are still limited to outdoor dining Rene - Just WOW I too lost count Deb Hi Fin I'm in, planned and tracked. Went back to bed after feeding the ferals. Felt good. Did as much yard work as I could in the heat and I am now ready for the pool. Only puffy white clouds despite the forecast.

Thinking of those in the path of the duo. Be safe. Colorado is safe, sunny, and quiet. I did get to my virtual workshop this morning. Iβve made a plan for todayβs meals and have tracked every bite. Iβm hydrating with water along with my Diet Coke. Iβve done my stretching and cane walking. I continue smiling as I aim for blue. Wishing each of you many reasons to smile.

Laura is coming in Wednesday to the west of me, and Marco is coming in late Sunday early Monday to the east of me --- as it stands right now. BUT They are still far out and subject to change. We should be getting rains tomorrow.

They really don't, Rene. We have had a new scenario or two every day.
I will know where it is going when it hits land. Too many times it has veered east or west at the very last minute.
