Thinking Mistake #6: Self-Deluded Thinking
You rationalize by telling yourself things you don't really believe at other times.
"If no one sees me eating, it doesn't count."
"It won't matter if I give in to my cravings."
How are you doing with your self-deluded thinking?

I haven't been doing it lately but I use to. My one for overeating was: I hardly ever overeat so overeating this time will be okay. Same one for desserts: hardly ever have a dessert so this one is okay. Trouble is if I do that too often it does add up to a weight gain.

I did some thinking and realize I am not doing this...not really... when I eat something it is with forethought and gusto. If I choose to overindulge I embrace it without deluding myself into thinking x,y,z and don't feel guilty afteward...I may shake my head but then I move on.
Hmm...

I don’t do this as often as I used to. I have some new boundaries that I don’t cross. They keep me from moving the finish line when it comes to eating/drinking beyond my points budget.
