So happy for you Becky. Still no rain here just damp and sticky out. Oh well. At least I don't have the sun beating down.

Enjoy that cooler weather for as long as it lasts Becky. MJ - How is Russ getting liquor? Can the place refuse to receive it? I realize Phase 4 will be ongoing but hopefully you and Toots can take a long, physical break from the situation.
The woman from Pawzability called me. Lily has some growths that the vet recommended be biopsied and/or removed. If the prognosis is not good, she will remain in foster care. If she is adoptable, they will reevaluate her with cats. She was doing well with them but the last encounter was not good. They think it may be because she was not feeling well. They will keep me updated on her status and are happy that I am willing to wait it out until they can make a decision.

Susi, I am so sorry Lily has medical issues. Becky, so sorry for the loss of your friend. We both deserve cooler weather. It was a beautiful 63 when I walked so I added another block to my route. Then when the cleaning people came it was only 67 so I took out Lily Belle for another walk. My watch shows 22 exercise minutes though I was gone longer but I can easily get the other 8 on the bike to close that ring. I sincerely hope Cathy has water by now. Having Internet issues is not as bad as not having water. Susi, I think Russ calls the liquor store and they deliver. Ann, that humidity is tough. Winds must have shifted because our air was not as bad as it was the past 5 days and the temp will only get to 93. I am going to the clubhouse at 11:30 to get more handbooks to distribute to those who did not get them yesterday. I do not mind doing that at all because I just leave them on the doorstep and then e mail the person for whom I've left it.

Another work/KOKO kind of day. Grilling chicken tonight and sides tbd. Roasted carrots for sure. I will be doing church clerical tonight and just puttering around the house. I noticed two tiny ants on my bathroom sink this morning and during the past week there have been two worms in the bathroom..wth? Anyway, I called pest control and they are coming to do a spray on the the house tomorrow. I believe its been before my surgery since they last came so its time. Work is not bad at all today. Just steady. Ann, great that you are all stocked up. weather is the same here, damp and sticky. June, I'm slacking in the walking dept. I've got to do better. So glad you have the mornings to enjoy your walks. If I was more of a morning person... Becky, sorry you didn't get to make it to your friends funeral but I don't blame you not wanting to get out in that weather. we had a cool snap but it seems to be over but still not hot as it was prior thank goodness. Audrey, I've been doing indoor walking all summer mostly due to the heat. I think that's why I've been so slack. I can't wait til crisp fall air comes in. I pray the situation in your area will improve. You all deserve and need a break. HUGS MJ, I so hope things will get a bit easier for you now that phase three is all but over. Susi, hey $60 is a decent savings Hope the situation with Lily works out. Bee, enjoy that precious time with the girls. Waving to Cathy and Pam if they ck in.

Susi that is really good that they will keep you updated on Lily. It could be that she wasn't feeling herself and having issues with cats. Time will tell. Praying that she is well enough to be adopted out and that you will be her new pawrent Audrey yes this humidity is the pits. It wasn't too bad when we started out for our walk...we walked with a very light sprinkle. That was short lived when the sun came out and more humidity kicked in. I won't bother walking until the sun sets providing it's not raining then. Happy the wind shifted and the air is better. 93 must feel like a cold front to you. I know those will appreciate the handbooks being delivered. LaDonna happy that work isn't too bad today. Steady makes the day go quicker, I'm sure. Enjoy your chicken. I'm also NOT a morning person. Never have been. The only thing that I do in the a.m. is my online stuff then I sit and have a few cups of coffee to clear my head LOL. With the computer stuff I'm on automatic pilot so that works for me. Also keeping Cathy in my prayers. I hope she has water and all other essentials.

Even if Russ is calling for delivery, it has to go to someone else before it gets to him. These days you can't just walk into AL and nursing homes. Also praying for Cathy Dinner sounds good LaDonna

We arrived at CC at 8:35 AM (weather made the traffic awful). We loaded up GracieTOO and then had bagels & coffee while waiting for JunkLuggers. They arrived at 9:15 AM and were loaded and leaving at 10:50 AM. Duane signed off on the I-L unit at 11:03 AM and the keys are relinquished. We have no claim on anything in 411GC. The minimum rehab charges are daunting; the reality will be even more so. But that is a part of Phase FOUR. Phase THREE is concluded. And we came home, had lunch, and - most important - had NAPS . Feels weird; we'll get used to it.

As long as Russ is legally considered to be competent, AL cannot refuse a delivery at the front desk, nor fail to bring it to the resident. <meh>.

Thanks June. The man wasn't a close friend but Kenneth had known him a long time.A lot of Elgin history went with him.He had lived on our same road but closer to town before he went to a NH for rehab from a broken hip. Then his gallbladder burst and at his age they didn't want to operate so they recently put him into Hospice. He didn't last long. The celebration was nice with a former pastor at a previous church officiating. They took everyone's temps before allowing into the chapel and only every other row was available for occupancy and of course everyone wore masks.
MJ Glad the YM drill went well last night.I hope Phase 3 was able to come to a conclusion.
Bee I hope you enjoyed watching movies with the girls.
Ann Glad the hornet sting is gone.Actually I'm glad we were able to go to the celebration of life instead of the visitation because one of his daughters thanked Kenneth for being such a good friend to her father and told me she really appreciated us coming.
Susi I'm sorry you couldn't get the cable reduced as much as you would have liked but any reduction is good.
Ann Yay on the maintain. No rain here either and not much yesterday but I think the rain is over until next Tuesday. We only got up to 66.Yea!!! They said if we didn't get up to 74 degrees this would be the coolest 9/10 in recorded history.

Well, I never got to go see Cissy, someone let the air out of my balloon, and I was just too weak to get to the car. The girls had fun and they took Cissy some Cane's chicken. She enjoyed it.
Lunch was late, and so I had a banana with peanut butter for dinner. If I need anything else, I have some melon.
Still praying for All!

Susi I am enjoying every minute of the cooler weather.Poor Lily.I hope everything will be okay and you can still adopt her. When we adopted Marcy from the shelter she had tested positive for feline leukemia. She had been treated and Kenneth was skeptical about adopting her but she has only had to go to the vet one time and it was totally unrelated to the disorder. She has tummy problems when she eats too fast but other than that she rips and romps and jumps everywhere.
Thanks Audrey. He was 93 and more than ready to go meet his wife in Heaven.Glad you were able to get in 2 walks today.I don't know if I have been doing the under desk elliptical for too long at a time but both my knees are hurting. It could be weather related though since it's looked dreary all day also.I wish you could get some rain for those awful fires.
LaDonna I'm glad work has just been steady.Your dinner sounds good.We missed the visitation yesterday but were able to go to the Celebration of Life. I thought it was nice.On the bulletin it said Celebration of a Life Well Lived.
MJ I'm glad P3 is finished and both you and Toots were able to nap.

It’s 83 at 4:11 and we may only get to 85. This cool down is so weird but wonderfully. I listened to a Fresno State webinar this afternoon. The topic was The Happiest People and better than I thought it would be. MJ, AL and the liquor store are enablers though he would probably find other means to get what he wants.

Becky that is good that you and DH made it to the celebration of life. If given a choice, I'd much rather do that. How nice of his DD to speak to DH and saying what a good friend he was. It's always nice to be appreciated. He surely did have a good long life.
We did get rain. It poured buckets in the afternoon and steamed things up. Then it stopped and not doing a thing now. I never did get for that evening walk and I'm fine with what steps I managed to get.
Bee so sorry that you were not able to go and visit with Cissy.
Audrey nice that you enjoyed the Webinar. Enjoy your cooler temps.
Wishing all a wonderful rest of your day. Need to do a few more things before I can sit and relax.
