This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends.

Good morning friends, Oh I'm so happy to have internet back! Today starts DH off time. He's sleeping in a little this morning. Today we're going to try to get several things done. We need to get the oil changed in his car, we want to go by the Sprint store and look into replacing both our phones (part of our Christmas to each other), and we want to try to look for a good pair of sunglasses for each of us (also Christmas). He's wanting some new Rayban Wayfarers (heaven knows why...I don't like the heaviness of them), and I'm looking at getting more along the lines of something outdoorsy - something in the Oakley like design. Also a quick stop for a new dog bed for the pup and a pop in at the grocery store because I forgot a couple of things yesterday...sheesh! Susie - so glad you got the WW app issue figured out. Knowing what is wrong is halfway to the solution Jana - I hope your tummy is feeling better. Take care of yourself. Robin - Lol - I didn't end up making the chili yesterday. I was running here and there to get the last few Christmas presents and went to the grocery store but completely forgot to pick up an onion. Sheesh! So last night was sandwiches, I'll get the onion while we're out today...so hopefully chili tonight I'm originally from El Paso, Tx and most of the chili I had there growing up had little to no beans. Also it rarely had ground beef. Generally it was made with chunks of beef (like stew meat) or sometimes steak that had been grilled of one the charcoal/wood fire grill. The chili would be prepared and simmered and the the steak diced and added just before serving (so it would remain medium rare). That chili with the steak with that wonderful smoky grilled flavor is the best chili I can ever remember. That being said, I'm using 96% lean ground beef, a small amount of pinto beans and great northern beans, and a little kernel corn, and adding 1 can Tecate (Mexican) beer . Amanda - let me know what you thought of the movie. I saw the original movie made from that story back in the mid-90s I think - "Mr. & Mrs. Loving". It was a made for TV movie with Timothy Hutton - I don't remember who the female lead was. But I thought they did a good job and enjoyed it. So, would love to see this depiction as well.

Lora, yeah on getting the internet back. You reminded me that I might catch up on watching some episodes of something I was streaming. My DS & his fiance love This Is Us, which starts again in January, and so far I saw 1 episode. I know there is a lot of hype about that show, so I want to see what it's all about.
Susie, so glad you got that app worked out. It is so hard when you have in-laws to deal with, so that your child's time is always divided.
Amanda, how was the movie?
I started having a problem with vertigo late yesterday afternoon, but still wanted to have my friends over for mah jongg. I had already bought everything, and we rotate houses, so I didn't want to mess it all up. My pharmacist had recommended dramamine for it a while ago, so I took 1 pill, and that doesn't not me out, so it helped for a while, but then laying down started it all over again. Not great today, so am working from home. It doesn't really matter if I go in or not. I had an early evening e-mail from someone yesterday about refinancing, and I can look into it and e-mail back and forth with him about it from home. I wouldn't have been in the office when I first replied to him anyway, and then this morning when I started looking at things from his old file, and rates for now, so what is the point of travelling back and forth when I can end up being dizzy along the way?

Hi ROs...a busy morning with DH's therapy, then meeting DSister and DBIL for lunch at a big mall. DH and DBIL sat and chatted at the restaurant after lunch while DS and I ran to quickly pick up a couple of gifts. Then we stopped at Trader Joe's and a local cupcake place that I had a Groupon for - couldn't get them since it said in the fine print that it wasn't valid Dec 15 - 25 --- jeesh. Planning on chilling the rest of the day. I still have to get a gift for DSIL - sure hope DD can help me with that Sat morning, as well as help me schedule my flight to Spain in March/April. Hope I get to go. She is coming in from PA this evening. I also need some candy or some treats for stockings - hope to get them tomorrow after PT.
Lora - DH made chili last year using a roast. I like the idea of adding corn and I think the beans helps it to be less caloric by adding the fiber. I will eat just about anything though - love food and a lot of it - that is the problem - ha! Hope you find a good deal on phones and sunglasses.
Robin - I agree...better to work from home than risk a dizzy spell on the road. I had several when DH was in the hospital - scared me to death... I think it was all the stress.

Well, no new phones yet. Working through some issues and checking with a couple other carriers before we make a final decision. Also no sunglasses. The two places we went were both so busy, we couldn't get anyone to wait on us, and all of the one's we wanted to look at were in the locked cases. I think I'll go by someplace like Sunglass Hut and try on the ones I'm interested in. I won't buy from there, their prices are outrageous, but if I figure out style, lens color, etc, then I can order it online and save some money. I did get a great deal on a new dog bed for the pup. It's just a covered pillow, but the color and cloth cover are exactly what I wanted. I've been eyeing it for some time, but was not going to pay $20.00. Well today if was 50% off, and then I had a coupon on top of that, so got it for $7.89. A small thing, but the savings made me happy. Especially since we still have to buy phones and sunglasses. Ha!

Lora - you do so well with sales!
I got our gas bill and it was $100 higher than last month, so I turned the temp down today since we were going to be out most of the day and I was soooo cold this evening that I was sitting with a winter coat on. Now most of you would never be that cold (especially with the slightly milder temps we had today), but I am always cold (my Dsister is always hot) and I went upstairs and got into a hot, hot tub and just soaked til I was warm through and through! I used to have the temp adjusted at different temps since DH was at work and I was out quite a lot, but now we are both here (and PT is at different times), so I have just set the thermostat to a standard temp and left it there....guess I will have to change that.

Hi Everyone, Just saying a quick hi as it's late tonight. I got to the gym tonight for what I thought was aqua zumba which turned out not to be aqua zumba. I think they changed the schedule though because I looked again and my schedule did say aqua zumba. Since I was there already I did it but really prefer the aqua zumba. I can get into the music more. But at least I did get some exercise in. I will go to the Saturday to aqua zumba I think if they are having it. Tommorow the kids leave at 12 and we usually get to leave earlier than our usual time. Hopefully around 2 I hope. I only got one gift the from the parents. We had our pajama party for the kids on Wednesday. I got a gift from my former teaching partner from last year though. Last year I got some nice gifts from two of the parents. And some of the usual stuff like mugs with candy. When I used to work in the first day care, I got some great gifts but some of those parents could afford it more. But even if a parent doesn't give a gift but just acknowledges your work I take that as a sincere appreciation of our efforts to teach their child. Lora, Good luck on your shopping. Robin, I hope you feel better. My dad used to experience that. He had tinnitus,a,ringing in his ears. I also sometimes have that ringing in my ears but I haven't had problems with vertigo. Ok, good night.
