This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome!

Good Chilly Morning (at least here in VA). I was at a scattegories game last evening outside around the pool and by the time the sun had set (even though I had on long pants and a sweater) I was shivering ---Lora, you would be loving it! It was 56 this morning....should be lovely today though.
I hope the ROs are OK...I wondered for awhile if anyone was going to post yesterday besides me - lol! Well, today DH and I are going out to lunch to celebrate our anniversary. A month or 2 ago he had tentative plans to go away for a couple of days, but that fell by the wayside along the way.
Sorry to hear about all the trouble with parents, etc talking in the background Janet. That is really difficult when you are on zoom or any kind of teaching virtually.
Hope today is a better day for everyone!

Good morning all.
I have been MIA for several days now. Sorry about that. I ended up taking Friday and Monday off from work so I could finish up the painting at the new house. I am happy to report that all the rooms that I am painting are now painted. I do have a couple pieces of furniture to work on but I am not in a hurry to get those done. I don't think I will be volunteering to paint anymore rooms for awhile! I was very happy when I finished the last wall yesterday.
They are supposed to running the cable to the new house today. I have gotten a couple of text messages from DH that are concerning.

Well goodness, I thought I'd posted yesterday. I know that I definitley typed up a post - maybe I never hit the button to post it? IDK.
Susie - oh goodness! Yes, I would be loving that weather! Haha! We're only supposed to hit 81 today, and then in the 70s for the next few days, but we also have rain from tropical storm Sally moving in. They're saying we could get 4-6 inches Wed, Thur, Fri. Scattergories by the pool sounds like fun!
Jana - I hope the cable install is not being a problem. The fresh paint colors are beautiful!
Waving to RobinMD, Jill & Janet. I hope everyone is having a good day.

Ok sorry I got cut off and had to run for work. So cable still isn't installed. The cable has not been run to the house yet. They have rescheduled the install for Thursday the 17th. I attempted to call the cable company and I got some person in India or some other country that I could barely understand and probably couldn't understand me. All he would tell me is everything has been rescheduled for Thursday. I had a very difficult time finding a phone # to call. I suppose we are at their mercy though. It would certainly be nice to be able to speak to a person that understood me so I could feel confident they knew what I was talking about. Nothing really new with me - same old stuff, different day. Hurry up and wait to move in

Jana - oh good grief! That's the one thing that I actually like and find better about where we live now, is that instead of dealing with those big companies like Comcast, AT&T, etc, like we did in ATL, all of our companies here are small, local and mostly they're co-ops, so as customers, we're actually part owners as well. We really get good response when we call in issues - which are few (other than weather related power issues - which is not unexpected when you live on a mountain that's covered in trees and in "tornado alley" Lol). We had AT&T and then Comcast while we were in GA, and it was always a battle to get anything done and to get it done in a timely manner and on schedule. I feel for you on that, I know it's so incredibly frustrating. Sending good vibes for a successful Thursday install.

Well wouldn't you know it, after my statement above, I go to wash my hands and find that we have no water! Haha. I PM'd the water dept. through their FB page and found that there is a water leak down the road from us and they're working on it now. She said that it should be back on soon. I hope so otherwise I'm going to have to use Perrier to cook my green beans for supper. Lol.

Lora - mmmmmm green beans cooked in Perrier - ha ha ha - hope the water is on soon.
Jana - come on cable - I know you can't wait to get moved in...everything is looking great!
We had as lovely anniversary lunch today at Bonefish. I won't even tell you or you would start salivating - lol, but needless to say, we have leftovers AND when the waitress discovered it was our anniversary, she brought us a slice of cheesecake - fabulous ( I tried to just not eat the crust although there was almost none). There were only 4 others couples in the whole place that includes the dining room and the high tables and booths in the bar area during the whole time we were there.
Whoops - time for a zoom call...gotta run

Susie - Lol! Water ended up being off for about 2 hours, then went back to normal. So no experimental perrier green beans necessary. haha. Bonefish sounds lovely! I'm glad you two enjoyed a nice anniversary lunch!

Hi Everyone, A parent came in to pick up the material packages and lunch and that is being served for all the virtual children whose parents want it. I asked her if she could stop in and sign the paperwork and she did but first she came over to both of us and gave us a big hug and told us we were doing great. This morning still rough with the first group and that one grandparent. The rest of the parents are not happy about her. I told the one who hugged us if she wanted to let the director know that she wasnt happy about the situation she was next door. Later on she came in but then she left. I wonder if our director called her. Lora, glad the water came back on. Susie, glad you had a nice lunch and Happy Anniversary! We had a potluck lunch today and I really had a lot of food but I did go to the gym tonite even tho I left a few minutes late. My partner is like talking to a brick wall. Very frustrating really. Waving to Jana, Jill and anyone else I didnt mention.
