I just filled out and mailed in the ballot to vote via mail. Carl insists on going to the polls. Good luck to him with that LOL. We no loner have our landline phone. Both just use our cells and that seems to work well. The hard part was once we gave it up, so give out our new number, especially to physicians.
Yeah to getting approved, Becky. Seems like nobody finishes a job these days. Gone are the 'competent people'. Don't blame you for just going with the flow.
I decided in looking over 'the list' that it can wait for tomorrow or Friday. So long as we go before the weekend I'm a happy camper.

Cathy, prayers for your son and his family. When Bob was on business trips I hated the nights. Nothing good can come from sitting at Starbucks. MJ, prayers for your nephew and Nadine. Bee, I am so sorry to hear about your DHSโs dog. Becky, itโs great that PT was approved. Ann, you always get right back on track. Bob asked if I was going to pick up sandwiches for lunch and I said no because of spayfor dinner. Iโll probably have tuna for lunch. June, you were thinking of an old timey hymn while I was thinking of Mustang Sally. Ride Sally ride ...

๐Prayer request๐
Remember 95-year-old Fr. Ted Zuber, DDIL's great-uncle, that has the Stage 4 pancreatic cancer? He was just chugging along. The family kept saying that he was holding on to get all the Catholic blessing bits done with his various nieces and nephews (this is Son#1's in-laws).
He had previously said that he was "just waiting to die" - but not in a bad, depressive way, just as a fact - and meanwhile he continued to LIVE, staying in touch with everyone. For his 95th birthday (during Covid Spring) the whole family gathered outside the nursing home to share birthday greetings with him.
He went into the hospital last week. "The dr called Michele (DDIL's sister) to give info but when he called her back said he can't tell her anything because Fr. Ted [said] to only talk to him."
Sounds like he's getting closer to going home to God.

Just got back from a very enjoyable hood walk. Lots of people out and about as it's such great weather. Took us longer to walk as we spent a lot of time just gabbing. Oh well...it happens and it's all good. The folks we talked to weren't into the 'gossiping' which made it so much better.
Audrey good job passing on the sandwiches for lunch. It's all about the balance. I'm back at it today as well...so far, so good.
MJ keeping 95-year-old Fr. Ted Zuber, DDIL's great-uncle in my thoughts and prayers. ((hugs))
Decided to wait on the shopping. Just not in the mood to 'mask up' today.

Keeping Ted Zuber in my prayers.
And I always vote by mail. If not I would not know how to vote on the trickily worded propositions on the ballot.

I hear you on those questions Audrey. I think they do that fancy wording on purpose.

Audrey Yea on closing all 3 activity rings yesterday.Nice of you to mail the handbook.Enjoy dinner. Bee Praying for you as well. Cathy I don't blame you for skipping Starbucks. You don't need that.Prayers for your DDIL and the grandchildren.I hope they are all okay.We don't have a mall but I agree on Walmart walking is a thing of the past. June I don't park that far away although we would probably park farther away if it weren't for my knee.LOL on the Walmark moment.I guess that's kind of like a Hallmark moment. God is always good so we need to give God the glory all the time.I hope someday I can go back to dancing in the house.I used to enjoy that. MJ Enjoy your cooler weather.Yea on having a list for today that is including you and Toots as well.Prayers for Chad and Nadine. Ann I know you are enjoying the mornings. Our lowest has been 70 this morning and it felt good with the breeze.I did find everything I went for at HEB after PT.Great the scale only went up .5 after that good dessert. Susi I find the elliptical helpful as a form of exercise.I don't think it's actually helping my knee.I hope today is a lighter day for you.

Happy you found all you needed at HEB, Becky. Love when that happens. At some point we'll also need to make a BJS run. Carl is pretty good going solo with a list of course, but that won't happen till the end of the month.

June I hope you enjoyed your track walk.
Ann It's good you vote by mail.In Texas to vote by mail you have to be over 65,disabled or out of the county on election day. They are trying to get that changed through the courts but doubt that will happen anytime soon.I really don't mind going in to vote because we go during early voting. Our county has done paper ballots ever since I have lived here which will be 36 years next Tuesday on our anniversary but they are trying out machines at early voting so it will be an experience. It would be too hard for them to try out the machines at the general election with so many people voting. We are way behind in our county.
Audrey Thanks. The problem is I am almost capped out for what the insurance will pay.I know it's Medicare that has to okay or not okay visits.I will go twice next week and the last week in September they will have to play it by ear so I don't have to pay anything.I had tuna on my salad for lunch. We are having burgers on regular bread tonight.
MJ I will keep Ted Zuber in my thoughts and prayers.
Ann Glad you enjoyed your hood walk. It's 89 and humid here after getting up to 90.
Last night I was stung at least 4 times on my forefinger by a wasp.It hurt so badly and itched but finally got to sleep sometime after 11:00.The knuckles on 2 fingers were swollen last night. When I woke up this morning my entire right hand was swollen.Last night it hurt to even use the mouse.I am taking Benadryl and icing. It's still swollen but it will just take time I'm sure. We couldn't find the wasp after he stung me and I told Kenneth I hope it died a slow painful death. While eating lunch there was another or the same wasp flying around and I pointed it out to K so he gets out the fly swatter but he needs a vision appointment really badly and he couldn't see it. I hope he can find it and kill the sucker.

Hi all another busy one. OP and will continue. Very rainy and the weather forecast after the storms pass thru on Sat/Sun is just beautiful...fall like weather. Its usually very hot here in September but looks like we may just get a break! Becky, The hamburgers sound good. We are having black eyed peas, rice, hampburger patties and gravy. Ann, I would like to vote remotely but I may have waited too late. I need to ck into that. Cathy, hang in there! that new decade is on the way! I also need some produce...esp fruit. Bee, Hope you are feeling well today MJ, I will certainly keep Ted in my prayers. June, I don't recall ever hearing that hymn June but the words sound really pretty. Laken said while she was sitting in the deer stand last night "Be thou my Vision" started chiming on the church bells near by. That's one of our favorite hymns. Audrey, I hope Bob's spaghetti turns out good. The family had that Monday and I purposely did not eat any as I love it and don't know when to stop. We like meatballs in ours too. Susi, I am looking forward to Edisto. OUr same crowd will be there but we will most likely only visit outside. We each have our own houses.

OUCH Becky...so sorry you got stung. Those suckers really DO hurt! I have one of those battery run but zappers but like Kenneth, I will knock over everything in my path yet the flying insect goes untouched! Luckily Carl has great vision and can see to get them. I hope the Benadryl helps. That makes me very tired so I can only take that before bed. I hope they change the way you can vote, Becky. Years ago that's the way it used to be here. I was very surprised when I got notified by mail. I couldn't get that back to them fast enough. Carl wouldn't bite. Oh well....men truly ARE different Or at least my man is! LOL. LaDonna happy that you are having cooler temps. yeah to being OP. I did take my final walk. Quite pleasant out there. Now I'm about ready to read a bit. Sweet dreams all.
